  3. He was one concussion away from scrambled eggs Good call Luke
  4. Fumble recoveries and turnovers in general are primarily a function of chance- http://www.footballperspective.com/2013-fumble-recovery-data-has-jets-cowboys-at-extremes/ Also- http://harvardsportsanalysis.org/2014/10/how-random-are-turnovers/
  5. Blocking the kick wasn't a fluke, but statistically recovering a fumble/INT/blocked kick and returning it for a touchdown is a function of luck...doesn't have anything to do with skill or preparation etc
  6. Yup which is why I mentioned Patriots...37 points is a BIG number over a 16 game season. That's why I was so critical of the analytics that kept putting the Patriots and their defense in particular on such a pedestal, a decent percentage (relatively speaking) of their points were scored in statistically improbable fashion...that's not even counting the fluke punt block return that was the eventual difference in our first meeting...in retrospect (even tho I suspected this was the case earlier) it's not hard to see why they were a flawed team even when they were being talked about as 'best defense ever' and a lock for the AFCCG/SB...scoring a lot of defensive and special teams touchdowns is NOT sustainable
  7. You able sighted people make me sick w your seeing
  8. I don't put a ton of stock like ^^^comments in SOS before free agency, draft so whatever...but I'll say that while we will in all likelihood face a stronger schedule just due to regression to mean, it's not like the Bills were winning games in a statistically untenable manner...they scored exactly ZERO touchdowns on defense (one safety) and one return TD for a total of 9 points- for comparison the Patriots scored 37 points off fumbles, interceptions, and safeties...Bills were one of six teams to score zero defensive TDs. Among those teams only two made the playoffs (Green Bay and Buffalo) and the rest were in competition for mediocre-to-worst-teams-ever in Arizona/Cincy/Washington/LAC.
  9. These Clemson dudes? Doubt it
  10. Looks great against college DBs
  11. It’s a good game no doubt but fml they’re going to be pushing 5hrs runtime
  12. Yo straight up this game is taking way too long wtf
  13. JJ watt would have made that field goal
  14. To be fair what he said was in response to an article saying the Bills shouldn’t re-sign him.
  15. Edie Falco with a bad pass
  16. How tf did Tomlin keep these guys together as long as he did lmao he deserves the Nobel Peace prize
  17. Not for me. I think he's got every right to publicly disagree w/an article like that in a contract year. He took a shot at the piece, not the Bills. I'd love him back at the right price, and also would 100% have no hard feelings about maximizing his value in FA with another team.
  18. There was a long thread about Lotulelei after the Eagles game where I sort of made the case against Phillips if you can dig it up. Basically he pretty much only plays gaps, has a terrific first step off the snap, and wants to get into the backfield before anyone gets hands on him. He loses against double teams, doesn't have a strong base and gets moved playing the run, and his lateral quickness isn't top quality. He's a very good penetrating 3tech but that's really it. Sometimes he will guess or freelance and lose leverage which hurts the LBs. He lacks either strength or willingness to do some of the dirty work McDermott needs from his DTs which is why I believe he will get a contract elsewhere. I'm actually hoping he does because he put in some good work here and deserves to get as much $$ as he can. An example of his below average play vs run: @6:47 Eagles have ball on BUF 4, first and goal. He gambles on splitting the double and gets immediately driven backwards and loses his base. Not only does Phillips losing vs the double team blow a hole in the defensive line (that the RB walks through for a TD), but it allows the C Kelce to get on Milano once Phillips is wiped out. This happens a significant amount of the times Phillips is asked to take on a double.
  19. I've been saying this since the Philly game tbh It's the McD effect...Kawaan Short can attest lol
  20. Exactly, and I wouldn't be surprised to see another 3tech drafted in 3-5th
