Plus Spain, Feliciano, Singletary, Allen (over Rosen)...every team misses some pickups. I firmly believe w a full season under their belts the offense is going to function a lot more smoothly, especially along the line. You have to remember that outside Dawkins and Allen there were 9 new starters on that side of the ball...it was a complete overhaul. Cohesion takes some time

I have no idea how you of all people get away with calling people ignorant. And that’s without bringing up the fact that Garrett has a well earned reputation as one of the dirtiest players in the league. -

How could you watch the NFL last year and not be sold on Courtland Sutton? -
Or if the refs rule the second half kickoff correctly. Or if our wideouts don't drop a ton of balls. Or if Brown doesn't forget to stay inbounds, twice. There was a lot that happened during that game that could have easily gone one way or the other, so I think using the end result as proof that Allen 'didn't get it done' is a shaky conclusion at best

Singletary and Smith get their blocks mixed up, which happened with Smith and Williams on another play before halftime (infamous Gore run). Don't know who was responsible for what but that's just a basic stunt that completely fooled our RB1 and supposed best blocking TE. Then on the other side: the entire right side of the line was looking at Watt. Thats over 1300lbs of offensive line focused on one guy complete breakdown

Lions possibly looking to move Stafford
GoBills808 replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree on Stafford, I think he's a solid franchise type QB. I think the Lions suffer from bad luck and questionable coaching more than anything. That roster has a lot more talent than what Patricia has been able to do with it thus far. This season was Bevell's first, and he had to deal w injuries to QB1 and RB1 installing his system. I think the Lions are going to bounce back next year in a pretty big way. -

That's why they hired Patricia and Quinn. Now I don't necessarily think Patricia's a great HC imo but between the two of those guys they have like 7 SB rings w Pats. They were brought in because they do know what it takes, just don't seem able to put it together in Detroit. -
Agree w the bolded and the point re: easy schedule However- I don't agree they played the tough stretch like a wildcard contender. They mopped up the Broncos to start, then went into primetime away vs Dallas and dominated a desperate team at home. That was a legit win. Then lost a close (although Bills clearly second best) home game to the hottest team in the league at the time in the Ravens, but bounced back with maybe the biggest win in the last 5 yrs @Pitt. Finished that stretch by giving the Pats all they could handle at Foxborough and yes, came up short again but I did not see them shrink when things tightened up at all. I thought they looked the part down the stretch. They looked inexperienced to my eyes more than anything, NOT like they didn't belong or couldn't hang w the best
