What’s the problem, Allen, Brady, Oline, Talent?
GoBills808 replied to Meatloaf63's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's Brady's literal job to come up w something we are among a very undesirable list of teams wrt our passing game production. and we have a top QB. i just don't buy that a better offensive mind couldn't make this work -

I'd be in a much better place to appreciate the irony if the results weren't so lopsided -

tbh I still think we end up w a 10-15 ish range offense like I told you preseason but woof that's like +115 rn😂😂😂 -

I know we agree But you also know the solution. You just laid it out You don't need to hire better than Reid, #1 just needs to close the gap. #2 there is no gap, and if there is Allen can cover it. #3 just needs to be a little better to make up for #1 and that's really the only way we can try to sneak in a SB -

In terms of ypg we are closer to the worst offense in the league this yr than we are to the Chiefs -

Same Our first three games were the very definition of unsustainable offensive production. Flukey field position/gameflow, big scores w small yardage, and all against what we know know to be three of the worst teams in the league...never felt right to me We keep not taking offensive seriously. There's a lack of talent to @FireChanspoint but there's also this insistence that we make these bare minimum OC hires. And I'm not saying Brady can't or won't be a good coach eventually but I don't think we can afford to keep doing ojt at this point -

verrrrry little faith in Brady from the start But as you say, entirely predictable. -
Because he's not a good wr

ill spare you the details of playing corner in hs lol Allen motions Cook out presnap to ID the LB on the wheel. He knows exactly what that coverage is going to be. Coleman is *probably* supposed to either take his route inside or run a pick to spring him. We've seen him make this throw a ton, he doesn't throw it because Coleman's man has eyes in the backfield the whole time

I was being facetious at first but honestly I think the idea has a lot of merit Right now we have a big mismatch in philosophy. There is just no need to roster an elite QB on a team that throws at one of the lowest rates in the league. What I'm proposing nets us a bunch of draft capital to fortify the defense and an affordable QB to run ball control offense.

Meh just another depreciating asset to be kept running on smelling salts and Mack Hollinses until we can get some trade value out of him

I don't care what Allen does if he isn't on the Bills

The FO/HC are going nowhere You've got a QB struggling to run this offense, potentially lose a step, and after this season will likely no longer be viewed among the league's elite due to performance and injury This allows us to utilize a bunch of draft capital on defense while saving on a reasonably priced QB who can handoff and throw checkdowns to Cook

Forgot we get Purdy too
