I say that because I think Marrone wants to be a run first, pass when we wanna team. To do #1 you must have superior O-line play. Leading the team in rushes like last season isn't the answer. Running effectively, even when everyone knows it's what you're going to do will take consistently good o-line play. If we get that we will win with adequate QB play.
So, Vick is injury prone and would be knocked out of games even if he was strictly a pocket passer? Common dogduck...Vick is the perfect comparison for Manziel and you must see this. Both are run first (maybe second) and both put themselves in situations that lead to injury.
Put the best 5 out there and screw the position. Glenn, Henderson, Wood and the next two.
Because of the style of play the Bills are planning to use...O-line is more important than QB to the team's success.
Is he more elusive than Vick? Is he smaller in stature than Vick? When was the last time that Vick was able to play a full NFL season?
It's all in the physics. DC T will be along shortly to give us a dissertation.
This thread is about Manziel so we are talking about Manziel. There are multiple threads about Manuel and all/most mention the fact that he was injured and missed games last season.
How is a new stadium not dependent on the current lease? I could see this if the staduim is built in Erie County, then they waive the penalties. If the stadium is elsewhere why would they do that?
You don't think Erie County will fight to keep those taxes for as long as possible?
Just saw that...not sure why the author is blaming the NFL though. If the wrong investment bank was hired isn't that a Trust decision?
Tough has nothing to do with it. Football is full of tough players. Tough won't help a small in stature QB against a 320lb tackle or 280lb DE or 250lb LB. I don't know how far his talent will take him and don't pretend to, but, my biggest "fear" for his career is and always has been his ability to stay on an NFL field.
He's "little" and fast playing against big fast guys.
Thank god you've seen enough to make a decision. Now we can all get on with our lives.
Well if they do you just tell them that Johnny was never a free agent available for the Bills to sign.
I think that's an overreaction based on the grainy video and report that I saw.
I do think that this quote is unfortunate:
I don't care whether he drives today or not, it's his job, but, the business as usual quote rubs the wrong way.
