I was interested to know if anyone has a position preferance year to year (Need for Franchise QB not included)? Mine was never draft or WR or DB in the first round because those positions in the 90' and probably up to the early 2000's where positions that took time to develope.
We spent high picks to develope player who became amazing by thier 4th year and we couldn't afford that luxery.
Just wondering if any of you felt the same way, these positions are way more pro ready TODAY and you spend a day 1 pick to get results during most of the rookie contract?
Remember all those soon to be probowl WR and Corners that left the year of thier prime? To me I saw the meat head O-line & D-line guys were the "stick around type" some were really hard to get rid of lol. The Diva WR and Corners were off getting paid. (Not that is anything wrong with that).
All that being said, is a 1st round corner a good idea? Starting to think so, interested in other ideas
No

Here's a little Draft Competition to make things interesting. Mods feel free to pin this thread if you'd like to gain more entries.
The winner can pick any hat from this page up to $50 value. https://shop.buffalobills.com/collections/mens-buffalo-bills-hats
I would like two or three people to volunteer as "Judges" to review the entries and select the winner.
Here's how it works: Pick the POSITION for each of the Buffalo Bills first six selections.
(NOT name, NOT round picked, NOT trade up or down)
"OL" (Offensive Line)includes C, OT, OG
"CB" must be CB...NOT Safety
"LB" includes MLB or OLB
For Defensive Line - Must designate "DT" or "Edge"...NOT "DL"
If Beane trades lower picks to move up and they don't have six selections, then I'm happy to take recommendations on what to do (keep the bet, but judge the first five, etc)
1st Tie breaker is what color suit/jacket the first pick wears while walking on stage or via camera feed in his living room with family around)
2nd Tie breaker - the member who picks the most picks correctly consecutively starting with the first pick.
If any one of you start giving names of players, schools, post Kiper's mock draft or include recipes for raspberry vinaigrette, I'll change your entry to pick punter first. Keep your entries brief and responsive with the required criteria.
Here's my entry:
LB
RB
CB
OL
CB
WR
Maroon/Red
I only compete within pinned threads.

Pickens is also coming off some injury issues.
I thought 2 years ago when i studied this class that Pickens was the best WR in the class. He has real potential
@BringBackFergy what have you learned in your analysis of Pickens? Would he be a wise I pick for Buffalo?

Wallace decided to leave the bills based on the color of his underwear.
"Honestly, I was on the fence of either staying with Buffalo or going to Pittsburgh. And ultimately, when my agent called, and he was like, ‘You should think about going to Pittsburgh.’ I said, ‘OK, I’ll call you back, let me pray about this.’ I prayed, and I said, ‘Lord, if you want me to go to Pittsburgh, let me know, give me a sign.’ Man, I’m just sitting there, just contemplating, and I looked down, and bro, I had black and gold shorts on,” Wallace said. “I was like, ‘Do you know what?’ There it is. There’s a sign. The Lord must want me to go to Pittsburgh. And I honestly just called my agent back and was like, ‘let’s go, let’s do it.’"

I hate the Dodgers more than I hate al Qaeda. But I've always loved Kershaw. I think the guy is an absolute beast. I agree with the knock on his historical post-season stats. But "soft," is the last word I'd associate him with, myself. Not gonna drag you for your opinion; There ain't no good guy, there ain't no bad guy; there's only you and me and we just disagree.
Did you know he went to HS with Matthew Stafford? One other neat sports fact, Fitzmagic went to Haavard.

Obviously 99% of us were brought here by the Buffalo Bills and we are all waiting for that one....but I also know we have a lot of different people here with different backgrounds and hometowns and people have other teams they follow. So have you ever seen one of your teams win the hardware? Feel free to share any interesting stories that go along with the experience.
As for me I am a pure born and raised WNYer so my true teams are the Bills and Sabres...so I am still waiting for the big ones. I do like Syracuse in the NCAA so technically them winning in 2003 was one of my teams but it didn't bring me to tears or anything, I was just really fired up. I was also really into the Chicago Bulls in the 90s and claim them as a team but they were already great when I got into them so I have a hard time counting their titles as well.
Well, there was this one time when two varsity cheerleaders and myself...

Classy, very classy.
I find it obnoxious and pitiful when people have this apparent need to escalate the dialogue by stating "just shut the ***** up". Wonderful well thought out response. More of reflection on themselve, my mistake for responding.
OK, offended it is.

Thanks for your suggestion but let me think, no, I will not "shut the ***** up".
Was it a joke, really, yeah hilarious, a real gut buster for sure. I mean it was so obviously a joke with the way people get offended now.
Also, read what I wrote, two conditional "ifs".
You seem offended.
Or, are you joking?

"People want The Rolling Stones to be cool, dirty, raucous. They don’t want to understand that The Rolling Stones were chasing a hit constantly and feeding off whatever the hippest thing was, copying whatever The Beatles did last week," he explained. “That disrupts the fantasy. And the fantasy’s amazing – I have indulged many times with those kinds of bands. That’s not an insult. That’s them being smart and figuring out a way to keep a train moving.”
I'm sorry, this is thread worthy how? A band of teenagers wanted to be rich and famous? Oh, the horror!!!!!

I think it's pretty clear we have different views on Edmunds, I doubt you will convince me he sucks and I doubt I will convince you he is competent.
I didn’t say he sucked. He hasn’t lived up to his billing. From almost day one I’ve wished they would play him at OLB, but what do I know? It’s now to late for that experiment.

And it took him a couple of years to be comfortable making calls.
So, that’s what has stopped him from making impact plays on the field?

I do, I don't potentially screw the defense this year for a pick that may or may not pan out. I don't think Edmunds is bad and I take issue with people who think he can be replaced with a rookie without significant dropoff.
Yet he (Edmonds) started as a rookie.

I would pass on the trade and just draft Lloyd in the 1st, WR/RB in the 2nd and CB in the 3rd and Bob's your uncle. No need to trade away your defensive signal caller in the middle of a superbowl window, I'd rather just get a comp pick.
So, you let him walk for a comp pick which at best is a third vs. the OPs scenario where he garners a second?
