It ain't stealing if those rich people offered the money to him. He's not the 1st to not live up to his contact extension and won't be the last. The NFL goes on and isn't hurt by this. Some feelings here though...

He's certainly not the first big tub of goo to cash in then check out.  See Haynesworth, Albert for starers.

Nope, no shame in maximizing your earnings.

The goal is to get the most money you can in this league. At least for 99% of the players, including Bates. Marcell got paid and good for him. The Bills are still making a ton of money, that contract didn't hurt the franchise. A ton of players don't make it through their first contract (injuries, etc.), he did and got offered a new contract. Again, good for him.

IMO, people writing stuff like your last "sentence" are idiots who take this way to personal.

    Tub of **** goo?!? Really?!?

Key word there is earnings. If you think that tub of goo earned anything then I’d like to come to work for you. Are you hiring?

You know, I don't disagree with you, in terms of his talent and what a was it's been.

But there's no shame in it, no shame at all.  What these guys do, the training, the working, the dieting, it requires significant personal discipline.  It's a bit like being in the military.  It's not for everyone, living a life with that kind of discipline.  McDermott lives that way, and he and Beane are filling the team with that kind of person, but McDermott has respect for the fact that some people simply aren't wired that way.

So, there's no shame in completing your rookie deal showing just enough promise to sign a $95M contract know that you had no desire to continue playing with the same effort? Traded 1 season and change after signing that contract?

If it wasn't for him he knew that back in college if not earlier.

    Tub of ***** goo.

  4. You know, this is just another example of the NFL sticking it to Buffalo. They don't want TPegs & Co. to wow the USA, they want to keep the Bills bottled up. LAC and KC are both getting more miles than Buffalo. When will the NFL realize that the Bills are a national treasure?  It's also amazing how far Pittsburgh has fallen, no longer the golden boys of the NFL.

The top two? Texass and ne. Big ***** surprise.

We all know it. We are SO fortunate as a fan base to have Josh Allen. He’s awesome, he fits Buffalo so well, he has great character, he has a great work ethic and he’s an all-around winner.

As many on here have been saying lately, he’s a superstar now. It got me thinking, would you still like JA if he was on another team?

For me, honestly, I don’t know. Part of me says, yes, I would. I can appreciate and respect greatness when I see it, even when someone is on another team.

That said, part of me knows that there have been times that I haven’t liked someone because they were so good and on another team instead of the Bills.

So, I’d like to hear from you, Bills Mafia. Would you still like JA if he was on another team?

I would love Joshy no matter what. Even if he was never drafted into the NFL I would 💓 him.

@Brian3488 is our WINNER!!! He guessed four correct player positions at the correct slot.  It was a tie with @Kmart128 and @MiltonWaddams who also had four correct picks.  But Brian had the "white suit" so he wins the prize.

Brian - go to the original post and select a hat from the link to the Bills store ($50 or under) and message me the link via private message up top.  Include your name and address and I'll get it mailed to you.

Another member wanted to make a gift to the charity of your choice so I'll tag him in the next post.

    Congrats everyone! Great job.

    Go Bills!!

I find it puzzling seeing so many people already trying to limit the ceiling of Cook.  This kid in our offense has a lot of upside and potential.

Labeling him just a 3rd down back is so short changing this kids potential.  He has a lot more potential than just that, and I think he will be used along side Devin a lot like how Kamara is used for the Saints when he was running with Ingram.

I'd guess he'll be a 1st & 2nd down back more than third to start his career.

That, too, was a farce .. but not on the same level.  The Bills technically achieved a good enough record to qualify for the tournament.  But a) it was a fluke and b) they had no business being in the playoffs, which was proven by the pathetic one and done display.

But, Shirley, we can agree that Joshy has made it bettah.

    Joshy🥰

    Yes, this is true.

Just like the single season HR record is still 61 ... and the all-time HR record is 755.

When one Mets pitcher records every out of a game without giving up a hit, then the drought will end.  Johan Santana gave up a clear hit that was erroneously called foul; and an army of pitchers working together to hold their opponent to zero hits is great ... but it's not a no-hitter in the traditional sense of the term.

    I love you.  Goodbye.

Apologies, I was speaking of the Bills drought.
