  1. Me too. No way Frank makes this team and we carry a fb on top of the four rb's.
  2. If he wins the bid I will get one of these and be proud that the tradition started here on the wall! Viva El Pegual!!
  3. Can someone please bring the important part of this picture to light!I I'm curious what's in the lunch bowl.
  4. While a great thing TV, will never replace being there and enjoying the moment with 70,000 of your best new friends.
  5. C'mon really? Hogan is not good enough to ever be the whipping boy!
  6. Ok if we have a local bid at $1.25 B and someone bids $2.5 B the trustees must say screw it and sorry Buffalo. If it's a half B more than they screw you to the out of towner. Clowns!
  7. That's my point. Until we know what exactly is in the trust none of us know. But my suspicion is that it will be weighted in our favor.
  8. I do. I believe the trust group has marching orders to try to keep the team in Buffalo. There is a mans legacy involved in this. Do you not lend any credence to that? I've said this before but half of the trust would accept the hedge fund manager type you speak of. The other half wont. Part of the other half owns the team and can accept a billion dollars and call it a day.
  9. Well here that dome thing again. Let me just say if they build a dome, it is one of the dome's with a retractable roof!
  10. TJ sucks and I bet Mike Williams runs routes around him. Williams and Sammy are your top two and Woods is third then Goodwin. Marcus Easley may stand a better chance of being the next guy and then there's TJ. Maybe I'm wrong and you're right but I'm guessing the staff has more faith in developing Easley who performed on ST and they may elevate him for that reason alone. Just my take. Wait, is this about TJ, EJ or SJ? What a mess you've made here!
  11. Sadly I doubt it is. They would be getting national tv dollars in Canada. That group is the elephant in the room. That said I believe there's something in the trust orders that gives preference to a hometown buyer. And while the two bean counters in the trust might push for the Canadian bid, the other two will offset them and remind that while Ralph was largely about money, he was also ALL against relocating teams. They take El Peguals money and call it a day. Viva El Pegual!
  12. I don't always own two sports teams. But when I do they will both be located downtown Buffalo. El Pagual
  13. Very nice thought Cowgirls fan. Miss Tim and Big Russ
  14. Very true about the Sabres for customer service but it really matters who you end up dealing with for them. Nice to see you and I on the same about something. Oh look, an asteroid! LOL
  15. Great recap and thanks! Matt Patrone and Pat Mathews are both excellent guys. They go the extra mile for ticket holders and I can attest to that. The organization needs to win for employees like them as well as us fans. They are so deserving of some success. I'm not a smoker but after watching The Belmont and seeing so many people smoking in the crowd I wondered how that's possible thinking it's a NY State facility. They need to find a way to make a designated smoking area again cause it's pretty sad to get ejected for that or even cause any friction with the cops over that. They have real issues to deal with on game days. Thanks again.
  16. I sure use the sunroof in my car a lot. Of course, I really miss the convertible I had.
  17. Doesn't sound like the Pegula way to me. Maybe to save money if someone other than El Pegual wins the bid but I think Pegula pays for the premium trim version. Just like his cars have fog lights where they should be instead of plastic inserts. Oh and premium leather too. I don't think you know what you are saying unless you believe someone other than Pegula gets the team. Well actually I don't think you know what you are saying. Have a nice day.
  18. Me too. This thread should be closed and someone should give the Men in Black light us all so we never knew what we know.
  19. Well since you said WNY I'll give mention to Palladino's joint in the Falls. The Giacamo but appears sold out this Saturday. Try the mansion on Delaware. It's your money so it's no object to me.
  20. Well said? I'm very confused by what he said. Golisano's Sabres were never near the bottom in spending. They we're competitive, won a President's cup, made conference finals and increased season tickets. He wants Pegula to come and get a football man in place. He's not accepting the fact that Pegula came in and allowed Darcy to remain in place which seriously impacted the team. So his history is that he will leave the people in place for a few years before deciding if a change is necessary. He states that he sure Pegula learned form hockey and would get a guy in there like Tim Murray and then says leaving Whaley is the way to go. All that Whaley needs is the commitment to spend. Like Darcy got? I'll give you this though that Whaley seems to be a bright guy with an upside. No offense to either of you but how the hell is any of that well said?
  21. Soccer should never be considered. They would make the seats too far away from the field by adding extra room on the field. I've never seen a great football stadium with a track around a field like you with say a multi purpose Olympic type of stadium. Soccer and our Football don't mix. At least not here!
