Nick Saban making a horrible decision
beerme1 replied to LevysEraII's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see it as a horrible decision at all! -
The GM platform is totally new while the Ford platform is a current platform with an entirely new body. ExilledInIllinois, how do you like the Pacifica? It was a consideration for a brief time. I need to use the vehicle for work so I need utility space. The two cars I'm talking about are a Ford Edge and a GMC Acadia. Andd I might add, neither of which is a F I T!!

Dude lighten up. First of all it wasn't directed at you. It was directed at a couple of auto industry people who post on here, one of whom has chimed with his own brand of (attempted) humor. Now then to address your points and concerns. The parts may not be made on Monday, but if they are installed on a vehicle on a Monday, WATCH OUT! Consumer Reports (not that I put a whole lot of value on what they push) claims they will never recommend a first year Chrysler product because of so many past issues on said cars. I don't know if that's true or not but I read it on the internet so it's true. I get your hybrid feeling though. That is a major component to have to deal with. However I am an early adopter of new technology and usually pay more for new stuff but I am not looking at hybrid models currently. The outlay for them and how rapidly I put miles on are not a good match right now. The lush comment should not be insulting to you. Since you don't work in automotive manufacturing!

You guys gave me grief about a comment I made about the old adage never buy a car made on a Monday. The reply's were thats an ignorant thought considering paydays are Wednesday or Tuesday or whatever. I am intereseted in new Ford (a problem in and of itself) but someone I know who lives in the town where the plant is says to me "everyone I know who works there is a lush" So I will not worry anymore about a Monday made car. But should I really worry about a new model first run made at a plant full of lushes? I have nothing against lushes. In fact, I may be one so I don't want to disparge any of them But should I worry that the Monday theory now applies across the entire production schedule? And will that be made worse by them having to install parts they are not familliar with? There is also a new model, GMC that I will be looking at but I don't know anyone who lives in the town where that vehicle will be produced so I assume it's a good bet

Last year Kids day was a the first pre season hgame since 1972. Will this years game against the browns do it again? I had heard they were doing very well, sales wise.
-
I have a question that relates to a prior thread, but I'm not sure who had the auto plant expertise. Roll call.
-
I'm getting reports he can. But those reports say that his assets are offset by his false starts and we know how that goes.

The title had me thinking that maybe Marv was brought in here to help Uncle Ralph's succession. Or that neither one of them has given a fleeting moment to the thought.

Interesting. And it makes sense! Although I've never heard of monopod, it suprises me that they included that since they do list a tripod. Would there really be an argument at the gate over this issue? Security: you can't bring that in. Guy: why not? Security: no tripods allowed Guy: it's a monopod jackass I guess I could see this happening

as they are on the list of prohibited items in the stadium. What the hell is a monopod?

The thread to end the QB competition
beerme1 replied to generaLee83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes I too am sick of the qb threads ever since Kelly was carted off on a stretcher it seems we have nothing other than qb comparison threads. I can only say that if the reports of Big Mike Wiliams losing some weight and getting into game shape, AND, he wins the job in camp that we can finally move on from this crap. -
If I may can I ask which one you are referring to when you say "stupid qb" ?? and who is and all? And what exactly is pretect?
-
With the recent weight loss he is now the leading candidate.
-
Do you ah, like racing stripes?
-
No. New and improved with but the old numbers.
-
I guess I'm kind of a homophobe and all but, don't you see any cause for concern that YOU refer to him as Butters? South Park aside. Grown men? Do you drive a FIT? Have a myspace account maybe?

Ya, kind of like your dog should give you a treat when he goes

Buffalo casino project in jeopardy...
beerme1 replied to LabattBlue's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm not sure I understand you. I choose to live here also because despite the three and four alarm fires every night and being on par with Ontario in the fact that we are the highest taxed people in the nation, the complete lack of leadership through the past, present and likely future, the decent winter weather and total lack of jobs, prosperity and development, it is the nicest place anyone could live! I'm not leaving. I don't really care what they do with casino. If I had my way it would be the place they chose in Cheetowaga. It was out of the way, wouldn't upset anybody etc. but you know how that goes around here. And really, if you want a nice casino experience you are going to Fallsview. At least there it seems more upscale and you get something for giving up your money. At the Seneca Casino I feel like I may as well just give them $150 or so at the door and leave. I will give you another example, the Bears Den in Seneca Casino is an awesome small venue for concerts. It holds something like 500 people. They ruined it by going cheap on the sound set up. It blows. And in keeping with the money grubbing, when they get big names that draw more people, they open up their 4 room banquet area. A complete joke to see a concert at. Conversely at Fallsview, they have a properly built concert venue that probably seats around 2500 and is still a small venue that is very cool to see a concert at. And the big thing, your ear's don't bleed because they spent some money and put in top shelf sound equipment. I don't know why I'm rambling on about this other than I have a lot of disdain for the Seneca's anyway. Their not even very good Indians. Indians elsewhere think poorly of them! But really what does it matter to you? So I guess I still want to know why the hell would you leave, if you don't have to? -
And not only that but the burned rubber marks on the road at the edge of the driveway are from your car! Bastards Unless of course it's a F I T
-
Who's complaining? I tip a lot of people and tip them appropriately. If your service sucks, so will the tip. That doesn't happen too often however. I tip guys that deliver furniture to the house and some other odd things. Sadly, guys like the mailman, and gladly the garbage men get overlooked. Although in my neigborhood the garbage men seem to think they are rulers of the land and they wont ever see a dime from me.

So is the waitress/waiter/bartender. $3.15 an hour or something like that. Maybe you should switch?
