  1. It keeps me gainfully employed and it is our core business now. We are a different animal compared to Horton's and Dunkin. We have good doughnuts and they have good coffee! Buckeye Mike you cant be serious about Timmy Ho's for doughnuts. Coffee I understand but not their frozen doughnuts. I didn't mean to hi jack this thread either, and I am looking forward to having some better dining options available to us.
  2. True enough. But the reason no one goes to the stores anymore was a company direction that sent us into convenience stores and grocery stores. Same amount of product, but brought to the masses instead of them coming in. However, there is nothing better than coming in and getting them when they're hot.
  3. What exactly? Nall? p.s. I am a fan of Kelly Holcomb's only if he is carrying a clipboard or has been brought in to replace the injured starting QB. Watching Holcomb run a game makes me want to, head for the bar. And I pay way too much money to go to the games and then spend a half at the bar.
  4. Piss off I work for KK and while it may seem like a fad, it's been around a very long time. Doughnuts have in fact been around for a very long time and are not about to disappear despite Adkins, low carbs and blah blah blah. Undeniably the KK business model may have had some issues, but the product doesn't.
  5. Yeah, I feel bad. His season is done no later than week three. I really feel bad about that. Truly! Really!
  6. And what he really means is don't !@#$ with us about the pretty chick avatars. Just don't. I willl offer this up though, Over The Raibow in a beautiful rendition by the late Eva Cassidy. Better than the original version. In fact the best I have ever heard! And I have it and would provide it to you assuming I can make my stupid HP computer make it happen.
  7. Sanborn is cool. But if you listen to modern jazz, like Diana Krall and you still don't get it, stop trying cause thats as good as it gets. If you want old school as others have said, try Brubeck. And if you don't get that, quit trying to like it! I'm sure this has all been said already, so I would like to add this BBQ tip. Buy Rib Eye Steaks from the butcher counter at WEGMANS. They usually have a BBQ cut that is 2" thick by 8" long and if they dont have it, ask for it! They will cut it for you. Now since we have the music and steaks covered, I would like to recommend Mouton Cadet (red) to go with the meal and as afinishing touch, a TUERO cigar. Available only in Canada or at Duty free, since it is Havana seed but grown in Quebec. A perfect night for me is: Bottles of Blue (the real thing) Rib Eyes from Wegmans (thick cut) on the BBQ Mouton Cadet red for dinner wine as it compliments the beef. TUERO cigars after the fact that makes it complete.
  8. You know what I think? I think that with all our castoffs their headed for a 6-10 year. They are simply a fraud.
  9. The GM platform is totally new while the Ford platform is a current platform with an entirely new body. ExilledInIllinois, how do you like the Pacifica? It was a consideration for a brief time. I need to use the vehicle for work so I need utility space. The two cars I'm talking about are a Ford Edge and a GMC Acadia. Andd I might add, neither of which is a F I T!!
  10. Dude lighten up. First of all it wasn't directed at you. It was directed at a couple of auto industry people who post on here, one of whom has chimed with his own brand of (attempted) humor. Now then to address your points and concerns. The parts may not be made on Monday, but if they are installed on a vehicle on a Monday, WATCH OUT! Consumer Reports (not that I put a whole lot of value on what they push) claims they will never recommend a first year Chrysler product because of so many past issues on said cars. I don't know if that's true or not but I read it on the internet so it's true. I get your hybrid feeling though. That is a major component to have to deal with. However I am an early adopter of new technology and usually pay more for new stuff but I am not looking at hybrid models currently. The outlay for them and how rapidly I put miles on are not a good match right now. The lush comment should not be insulting to you. Since you don't work in automotive manufacturing!
  11. You guys gave me grief about a comment I made about the old adage never buy a car made on a Monday. The reply's were thats an ignorant thought considering paydays are Wednesday or Tuesday or whatever. I am intereseted in new Ford (a problem in and of itself) but someone I know who lives in the town where the plant is says to me "everyone I know who works there is a lush" So I will not worry anymore about a Monday made car. But should I really worry about a new model first run made at a plant full of lushes? I have nothing against lushes. In fact, I may be one so I don't want to disparge any of them But should I worry that the Monday theory now applies across the entire production schedule? And will that be made worse by them having to install parts they are not familliar with? There is also a new model, GMC that I will be looking at but I don't know anyone who lives in the town where that vehicle will be produced so I assume it's a good bet
  12. Last year Kids day was a the first pre season hgame since 1972. Will this years game against the browns do it again? I had heard they were doing very well, sales wise.
  13. I have a question that relates to a prior thread, but I'm not sure who had the auto plant expertise. Roll call.
  14. I'm getting reports he can. But those reports say that his assets are offset by his false starts and we know how that goes.
  15. The title had me thinking that maybe Marv was brought in here to help Uncle Ralph's succession. Or that neither one of them has given a fleeting moment to the thought.
  16. Interesting. And it makes sense! Although I've never heard of monopod, it suprises me that they included that since they do list a tripod. Would there really be an argument at the gate over this issue? Security: you can't bring that in. Guy: why not? Security: no tripods allowed Guy: it's a monopod jackass I guess I could see this happening
  17. as they are on the list of prohibited items in the stadium. What the hell is a monopod?
  18. yes I too am sick of the qb threads ever since Kelly was carted off on a stretcher it seems we have nothing other than qb comparison threads. I can only say that if the reports of Big Mike Wiliams losing some weight and getting into game shape, AND, he wins the job in camp that we can finally move on from this crap.
  19. If I may can I ask which one you are referring to when you say "stupid qb" ?? and who is and all? And what exactly is pretect?
  20. With the recent weight loss he is now the leading candidate.
  21. Do you ah, like racing stripes?
  22. No. New and improved with but the old numbers.
