  1. With regard to Dennison, he is an enigma. (noun: a person of puzzling or contradictory character) As bad as his play calls were when they were trying to punch it in from the 2 yard line, and it was embarrassing, I thought it was incredibly creative to bring Joe Webb in on the first series, with TT wide. We came within a whisker of making NE look stupid. But why didn't they bring in Joe Webb when we were trying to punch it in ??? He looks like a monster, and he could have earned himself the nickname "Mighty Joe Webb"
  2. I think they did try to build an offense more suited to TT this year. There were designed roll outs, dinks and dunks over the middle to Clay. We never saw that last year. They recognized there was no point starting Sammy and Woods because Tyrod couldn't find them anyway, so they took the draft choices and got slower, taller receivers for him to find. For awhile it seemed to be working. Then, for some reason, It just stopped working. McD is on the hot seat and he wants to move on at QB. TT is gonzo. If they could find anybody willing to give them a 4th rounder for him right now, I think they'd do it tonight .
  3. I think the injury gives McD an excuse to start somebody else, which is what he's wanted to do. I expect to see Mighty Joe Webb in there some more, also. He looks better than I expected. Probably better than Cardale. These new guys running OBD seem to be in a hurry to evaluate guys. Personally, I like it.
  4. They need to unleash Tyrod today...............whatever that means..........
  5. I think some of us are over reacting to this story............ I send Valentines to my ex wife, hoping maybe it will lead to something, and I get the same response Tyrod did. So I get back on my feet and walk on, head held high, because I Billeve in myself and maybe some day she'll come to her senses.
  6. o Right, I'm already screwing things up! Okay here goes................Tyrod can never complete the deep throw for a TD................. Are you listening Tyrod ?
  7. Next weekend we get a head to head comparison between Tyrod and Tom Brady. Every darn time (in the past) I have said Tyrod isn't capable of doing something, like throwing over the middle, or hitting a receiver in stride, he has proven me wrong. Here's to hoping for a miracle........come on Tyrod....do something special......... Go Bills !
  8. I like the idea of rotating the QB's like they do in college. That way we confuse Jordan Mills so he never knows whether he should block his assignment or just let him go unabated to the QB.
  9. This is a real problem, not just for picking up a good QB, but for picking up good WR's. What WR wants to come here and get killed by an inaccurate, hurried QB throwing the ball under, over, behind, or late ?
  10. Everybody is shocked at how quickly the wheels came off this year. We went from a 5-2 team with a "ball hawking" defense that could easily have been 6-1, to........ Stumblin, fumblin, bumblin...........same old lousy Bills.......... But a terrible losing record isn't a disaster, it's possibly our best friend. We don't need another 8-8 season this year, we NEED 6-10 at absolute best to get the best draft position for a QB draft class that's absolutely chocked full of studs. There are 5 and possibly 6 good candidates out there. Next year we will have Cordy Glenn back at full strength and Dion Dawkins will have a year of experience under his belt. Eric Wood is still solid, Richie is okay, and Charles Clay is manageable when healthy. We'll have Kelvin Benjamin, Jordan Matthews, and Deonte Thompson at WR, with Zay coming along. We need a Franchise QB and a RG. On Defense, we need to replace Kyle with a big body or two, and we need help at LB. Hopefully Brady is nearing retirement and the Phins will be a mess again. The Jets will be erratic, and that will never change. Go Bills !
  11. I was wrong to think that bringing in Peterman would solve our problems........ The idea was that Peterman is a "faster gun" and would read the defenses faster, and release the ball faster. It may be true that he's faster than TT, but not fast enough for this dreadful O Line. And that meant that the DLine was on the field more, and that didn't work either. I thought we were one guy away from the promised land.............boy, was I wrong...........
  12. I'm all in on using Peterman the rest of the year, tanking, and being in a better draft position to get a Franchise QB. In 2006 there were 2 or 3 blue chip prospects. Jared Goff, and Carson Wentz Last year, there were maybe 2 or 3 blue chip QB choices; Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, maybe Mitchell Trubinski This year, there's going to be 5 or 6 blue chip choices Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen We could take any one of these guys and it's a huge improvement. Just pray we go 6-10
  13. There are a lot of Mom's out there who need to buy Christmas presents this month and don't give a darn about who the Buffalo Bills QB is. They just don't want to get surprised on Christmas morning that the jersey they bought on sale is for a guy who isn't the starter. A big blessing to McDermott for helping to clear the air on this subject this early in the Holiday Shopping frenzy.
  14. Let's look at the bright side here for a moment............... By McDermott making the change right now, BEFORE the Black Friday sales event, it means a lot of Christmas gifts, specifically Bills jerseys, will be purchased with the name Peterman on them. This cuts both ways.............if Peterman lays an egg, those jersey's are worthless before Christmas Day, and anybody who currently owns a Taylor jersey sees the value skyrocket again. Think about people...............this is America ! Now keep your shirt on and let's watch the game.........
  15. The change at QB will also give us a different look at the OL to see how who needs to be replaced.
  16. We probably have seen the end of TT as our Franchise QB, and he probably wll play somewhere else next year, but as far as having him around as the backup, and inserting him into a game in certain situations........... that could be really interesting............. Think about this QB lineup next year; 1. Peterman, 2. Tyrod, 3. and whoever they draft
  17. Yes it is..............if you have to drive back to Studio City from Carson.
  18. You bring up an interesting point. Anthony Lynn is VERY familiar with Tyrod Taylor, but not with Nathan Peterman. Should make it a little more difficult to game plan for. Maybe.
  19. First, I look forward to your posts every week. I don't know what you do for a living, but you should be getting paid for your work. Your analysis and writing style is better than most paid journalists. Second, I'm just watching the game on Monday morning, after reading many posts on this thread. I have a couple comments of my own, which are not intended to be a reply to your post. The Saints look like a very good team. Maybe the best team in the NFL. Who knows. The Saints did to the Bills what the Bills want to do to their opponents, smash mouth football. Run first, eat up the yards and minutes, then throw an occasional pass. Brees is very good at managing this offense, because he has all day to find the open man. Tyrod would be a very good backup for the Saints. Mark Ingram is what the Bills wanted Tolbert to be. I have no idea why Tolbert is the #2 back. Kyle Williams ain't what he used to be, but he definitely USED to be somebody and he can show flashes of brilliance, unlike many of the players on the OL. Since when did our collective attitude change from "whether to tank for the best draft pick" to disgusted with the Bills getting blown out in the 3rd quarter against a program that has been in place for 10 years? The Bills went into the locker room down 17-3 at the half. That's not horrible for a team that gave up most of it's best players for draft picks or cap space. We knew this would be a tough year. When Tyrod gets his bell rung early in a game, he doesn't seem to play well afterwards. I would never compare McDermott to Rex Ryan. That's ridiculous. Just remember the scene last year with Rex's half wit brother on the sideline. There's a good chance the Bills will regroup and beat the Chargers this week. If they do, Tyrod's position will be safe. If he doesn't play well, there will definitely be a QB controversy. Peterman looks calm and collected in the pocket, and makes good, quick, accurate throws. The door has already been opened once, and McDermott doesn't seem to mind starting rookies. Go Bills !
  20. I love this thread...............but let's continue the idea................. Rex understands that Josh McCown only has a few games left in his old body.................. Rex needs a new QB to build the Jets into a SB contender.......... Somebody young and agile...............somebody like....................Tyrod Taylor......... Maybe he's willing to give us a 6th round draft pick for Tyrod.....................
  21. Why are you torturing us with this information ? It's like telling somebody "your wife isn't very attractive" and then making us look at pictures to prove the point. We already know this..............
  22. Good NFL QB's are expected to put the ball in the hands of the receiver while the receiver is running at full speed. Tyrod does that about 20 per cent of the time. Some days he's better than that, most days he's not....................
  23. I'm not a TT fan, because I think he takes too much time to read the D. But I have to admit that he doesn't take chances like Fitzy did, and throw interceptions, which dig a big hole for the D to get us out of. Maybe one of the reasons the D looks so good is because TT isn't giving up the ball and putting them in awkward situations. 3 and out, after 3 and out, isn't fun to watch, but it's better than throwing interceptions.
  24. I'm a transplanted Bills fan from Ithaca living in LA for 35 years. I don't read junk mail, watch reality TV, or follow the Rams or Chargers....... Go BILLS !
