McD botched the season with some terrible moves. The perfect QB for this disastrous OLine is TT, and they gave him away for a 4th round pick. Allen could've watched and learned from a seasoned vet for the whole season. Those guys are dopes, IMHO.

The reason to start Allen now is to turn this sinking ship around and make a run for the playoffs. To me that seems ridiculous.......... McD botched this season when they unloaded TT for a draft pick, and replaced him with AJ. They screwed themselves with that move. We are about to find out whether McD elects to tank, or try to salvage. I'm guessing tank..............

That's true, but then they have to scramble to correct the situation, and what options do they have ? Start Allen ? Is that going to solve the problem ? They need another QB, quick, but that's not all.......... This is gonna look really bad to the Pegula's when everything they've been told about "The Process" is turning to sh*t. And it's not just Peterman. They were watching KB get a ball in the numbers in the back of the end zone and drop it. This team is awful and McD had no idea how bad. That makes him look like.....................what ? Unless "The Process" meant to not start Allen at all this season, and tank.......................then it all makes sense. And McD can start Peterman this week. Look, even if they start Allen this week, it's unlikely he's gonna play every snap this season. And the only other QB on the roster right now is Peterman. So we will see Peterman again this season...................and it could be this Sunday..............

I don't think McD looks at this stuff...............he's going to watch the game tape and decide what's best for the team.......... So he hasn't made up his mind yet...............and what he thinks is best for the team is anybody's guess. It's pretty obvious that McD had enough confidence in Peterman to unload AJ. If they bench Peterman now it's an admission that he/they totally screwed up and I'm not sure they want to do that. But that's why we play the game................

This is true...........they made a huge mistake trading away AJ, but don't be surprised to see another stiff signed soon. There are several equal to AJ out there........... EJ ...........Joe Webb.......... They don't want to start Allen this year.................they weren't planning on making the playoffs again this year.......... They are stocking their draft picks and evaluating their young players for next year, when they draft and sign more studs. They're gonna keep the new car in the garage this year, and not get it all banged up. They don't give a damn about making the playoffs this year..............not with Peterman under center...............

Some guys seem to think there's way to turn it around THIS year............by signing a few FA's and starting Allen............good grief !

Going into this season, meaning before the first game, the plan was to sit Allen, all year. They thought Peterman, and AJ, the OLine, and WR's would be adequate to get us through the season. They knew this OLine was gonna suck, but they had "quick release" Peterman in there, so even if he got banged up a bit, they could bring in AJ and keep Allen out of harms way. They never planned on starting Allen this year. Then next year, we draft and sign a real OLine, and start Allen. They may very well continue this plan, since they haven't named the starter for game 2 yet. They just need to find another stiff to bring in when Peterman pees himself. Don't be surprised to see EJ or Joe Webb back in a Bills uniform, soon. We're gonna keep our new car in the garage this year. They don't give a damn about making the playoffs this year.

Whether or not McBeane was strategizing to tank this year and be in a terrific position to use their accumulated draft picks to maximum advantage, it's a great idea IMHO. If the next few games are as disastrous as the last, it will certainly cross their minds, if it has't already. I don't give them that much credit though......... Beane is a good draft guy, McDermott is just a rah rah guy with limited coaching skill, again IMHO.

Well, Oakland just picked up AJ McCarron............. I still believe it's not just the players who are responsible for this disaster. If you traded this team for the Patriots team, right now, Belichick would coach them to 8-8. McDermott's coaching staff would turn the Patriots into losers in about 2 weeks.........

This game exposed Beane ad McDermott for what they are………not very good at what they do. I think neither of them expected this debacle of a game, and that’s what’s telling. After all the wheeling and dealing, they had their team set, and their coaches in place with the right game plan. I think they were feeling pretty good about the season………. Their plan: Peterman would start all the games this year and do an adequate job. The rebuilt OLine would “gel” with the addition of Bodine and Newhouse. Kelvin Benjamin would break out and be the next Randy Moss. Zay Jones would finally get his feet under him and make some quality catches. The defense would bend, but not break. The DLine would “gel” with the addition of Lotulelei and Murphy. The LB’s would be improved with Edmunds and Julian Stanford. The D Secondary would continue their impressive shut down/take away ability. Special teams would be adequate. IMAGINE THIER SURPRISE WHEN IT ALL BLEW UP IN THEIR FACES !!! These guys didn’t have a clue going into this game how bad this team really is. In summation, they didn’t make this team better, they made it WORSE !! Now they have to make some very difficult decisions, in order to keep THEIR jobs.

This game should prove that Beane and McDermott aren't as smart as they think they are.............

I eagerly await the opportunity for coach McDermott to watch the game tape to discern which aspects of the teams performance need to be improved. I think we just need to be patient........................and trust the process.....................

You know what, at first I thought this was just a simple case of bringing in a recently cut WR for a looky lue, and then cutting him. But the more I read this post, the more I'm becoming suspicious........................did any of you see the movie "Eleven Angry Men" Maybe, just maybe Beane had no intention of bringing in a young speedy WR, recently cut................. Maybe there was never any intention of having CColeman run pass routes here........................maybe, just maybe................... This whole situation stinks and I think the OP is on to something here that needs to be investigated. Let's call it CoreyGate.......................................

BB seems to me to be an improvement at picking college prospects, where DW was better at picking up FA's. Maybe we can petition OBD to rehire DW in a limited capacity to assist with FA's. Or split the job, and call them WhaleyBeanes..................................Martavious WhaleyBeanes.............
