  1. What this coaching staff is doing is showing us how inept the team is, and brokering on making it better next year. Chan Gaily tried to take what he had and make it work. These guys aren't like that.
  2. Very disappointing 3rd game.......... The coaches change, the players change, but the mistakes remain. It's another year of futility.
  3. Yates is bad..........
  4. OMG ! Looks like we've got a QB that can throw a pass and hit a guy in stride.
  5. This doesn't really bother me. Marcel is a disruptive dude. Always has been, probably always will be. And he doesn't really need this game to hone his skills. He's a monster in the middle, a load. He might be our 2nd best player. Give some time to a backup tonight. Marcel will be ready when the season starts.
  6. Boldin should read this post, and reconsider............ Hey Boldin, You're the perfect fit for our team........ Tyrod can't hit a speedster over the middle in stride......... We need a guy just like YOU, running slow motion across the middle......... wave your arms and shout "Hey Tyrod" "look at me, I'm open"............ And 10 seconds later, he will throw you the ball......... There's 50 catches for you this season, just like that............ Come on, man, why you wanna quit ???
  7. I wish Tyrod was able to have more tertiary reads............ I think the offensive line has a fiduciary responsibility to see that Tyrod has more time for some tertiary reads.
  8. I expect to see a few posts suggesting that "statistically" Tyrod was 7th or 8th best yesterday for a starting QB in some passing category or another. Maybe he wasn't as bad as Blake Bortles, I don't know. But one thing I did notice in this game is that Peterman can hit a receiver in the hands on the fly, with regularity. That's something Tyrod will never do. Period.
  9. Tyrod needs to find a new team to give him time to develop. These new guys at OBD aren't going to keep him around. Stick a fork in him, he's done.
  10. I think it's reasonable to assume that if Tyrod does well in his first few games, they will ride him until he stops winning. Or, the team is so far below .500 there is no reason to try to do anything but get the best draft position. (tank) There is also a reasonable chance that Tyrod will get injured (due to his style of play) and we need a backup to come in. In that case, I think it makes perfect sense to bring in Peterman before Yates.
  11. So Tyrod needs to come out Thursday night looking like a qualified and confident pro. Right ? No excuses about needing to learn the new offense. He worked with Dennison before and understands the system. Right? If Watson can step into the role, Tyrod should be miles ahead already. Right ? And now he has Bouldin to throw to. A solid route runner. At the right place at the right time. Look up, catch the ball, perfectly thrown. Right ? This is gonna be great, to watch Tyrod shine............Right ?
  12. When I was a little kid playing backyard football in Binghampton, as a QB, trying to hit somebody in a crossing route over the middle was a problem. I never solved that problem..............Neither has Tyrod Taylor Running around like a chicken with my head cut off was easy, and fun. But that's not what wins Super Bowls...........apparently.............
  13. I'll bet every single person on this post a jelly donut that EJ Manuel is living in a converted garage on the property of Doug Whaley, and they are both drinking Bud Light and complaining about how they got screwed by the Bills................. Who's first..............
  14. First, who's fault is it that Sammy chose to practice pass routes instead of 3 point shots ? Second, what good does complaining about wages do ? You don't see ditch diggers complaining, do you ?
  15. At the end of the 2016 season, the Bills needed to make a decision about whether to give Tyrod a contract extension giving him significant salary upgrades. The Bills chose not to agree to that upgraded offer. Tyrod sat at home with a decision to make.............. There are 32 teams in the NFL. I'm sure Tyrod's agent contacted all of them. Not one team................nobody........................NFC.............AFC................CFL...................... NOBODY wanted this cat........................NOBODY ! So Tyrod decided to sign a contract with the Bills for a lot less than what had been proposed........... and Tyrod accepted the terms of the new restructured terms.................... paying him a lot less money........................ for what ??? a chance to use cap space to bring in some much needed upgrades to the Offense ?????? Show me where we upgraded the Offense, using cap space provided by Tyrod signing a reduced contract. Show me the money..............
  16. I'm curious why you think the Bills asked Tyrod to take a pay cut this year and why Tyrod agreed ?
  17. The 2003 National Championship game between Miami and Ohio State wasn't bad either. That's the game where Will Allen took out Willis McGahee with a wicked hit to the knee. And then we drafted Willis, while he rehabbed a year................
  18. Oh, come on........... We're going to beat the LA Chargers...........
  19. It's my guess that Cardale played his last game in the final game last year against the Jets. But why cut him ? He's a physical specimen, and a big athletic bruiser. Why not try him at tight end ? or defensive end ? or middle linebacker ? something.................besides QB.....
  20. They all had contracts that paid them more than what Tyrod Taylor's contract is paying him this year. They all had lower completion rates than Tyrod has for the past 2 seasons. They all had rocket arms, but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn when needed.
  21. What do Todd Collins, Rob Johnson, JP Losman, Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Kyle Orton all have in common ?
  22. If this helps................. Tom Brady has one or two years left in him before he is put out to pasture. If he plays more than that, he's crazy. We are rebuilding right now, with entirely new leadership. In 2 years we will probably have a franchise QB and a few more weapons on Offense. The defense needs to fill a few holes, but if we had a "Jim Schwartz" type approach, meaning keeping things simple and letting the herd run wild, we might be ready for playoff action again.
  23. Not to change the subject or anything, but............... Why in the world would Dennison start Tyrod over Peterman this year ? Unless they are planning on making a run for the Playoffs, for some reason. Tyrod is a career backup, and a good one, but we are in the beginning stages of a total rebuild and to have Tyrod out there establishing chemistry with a bunch of new receivers is curious. Everybody knows that we are going to use one of next years 1st round picks on a Franchise QB. That means Tyrod has 1 or 2 more years AT BEST. Why not start Peterman, who is known to be able to stand in the pocket and throw the quick slant, with the new receiving team, and see if he can establish some chemistry and rhythm. Maybe, just maybe, Peterman might look like the best 5th round QB since Dak Prescott.
  24. That might be true in a perfect world, but we just watched Rex Ryan do the opposite, didn't we ?
  25. Tyrod showed some passing skills in his last game of 2016. I'll bet that game has been watched by Sean and Rick over and over again. I expect to see the Offense show run, run, run the first few plays of 2017, but they are going to test Tyrod's ability to hit a receiver on a slant route over the middle over and over and over again. If he completes the majority of these passes, he will finish the season as starting QB. If he doesn't complete these passes, look for Peterman off the bench, early and often. This coaching staff won't be screwing around trying to figure out how to best use Tyrod. They don't strike me as guys who will be comfortable watching him dance around like a chicken with his head cut off. Either he cuts the mustard, or they junk him.
