  1. I think it's still possible to win some games with Tyrod at QB. I just don't understand why we would be doing that. If Tyrod has a good year, this year, he's gonna get an offer to go somewhere else, and he's gone. If he has a bad year, this year, he's still gonna be gone. Since he's not the long term solution, why develop chemistry with a QB that won't be here next year ? Let Peterman get in there with our brand new receiving core, and see what he can do. The worst that can happen is we get a better draft pick. So what ?
  2. This is one of those rare situations where if Tyrod had hung onto the ball a split second longer, he might have been able to adjust to Zay tripping over his feet and zagging out of his route. But Tyrod was well within the area he needed to put the ball in order for Zay to catch and score. It wasn't a dropped ball, it was a trip and lose balance, then try to recover ball. IMHO.
  3. Maybe the heat will play to our advantage. Bronco's players probably aren't used to the heat either.
  4. I read where people thought the Bills were running a"vanilla" offense in the preseason, but in the regular season, the OC was going to add some new wrinkles and unleash Tyrod. Well, that never happened...............The question now is................will the Offense ever get moving ? Up next is Denver.........I'm hoping for a touchdown generated by our Offense Seems rather normal to wish for that..............but I don't know...........could be another 3 point game for us.
  5. I've watched the reply 25 times. I can't figure out where Zay was heading after he made his cut to get open. Looks like he was headed out of bounds, then he turned to the ball and recovered. Looks like Tyrod split the 2 defensive backs with his throw. People complain that Tyrod can't throw to an area and has to have the receiver, stop, look back, and wave his arms............... Well this was a case where Tyrod anticipated where Zay should have been and threw the ball to the widest open area. Can't say I blame Tyrod on that throw, because it looked like Zay ran a crazy route.
  6. Tyrod looked like what he is............a backup QB.................
  7. Oh good.......... Ground and pound........a new wrinkle..............
  8. Anybody remember when Tyrod was good for one deep ball per game? We could use one of those............
  9. Come on people............this is not that difficult..................... This game is decided by whether Carolina can contain Shady..............or not................ If he has another game like he did against the Jets.............we win............. If he doesn't...........we lose....... We have no offense if Shady's not in the game.......................
  10. Nice job, Virgil. I thought Tyrod looked more composed than I expected, and looked more comfortable in the pocket. Maybe that's what the players are talking about when they mention his leadership abilities. However, the Bills had the lead the whole game, and the next month is going to be rough. The lack of injuries so far this year is a pleasant surprise.
  11. I take my hat off to Tyrod. He did everything I thought he couldn't do. Lot's of balls thrown over the middle and mostly hit receivers in stride, or close. Looks like we have a solid QB and backup for a change.
  12. The ball is snapped We hold our breathes Tyrod runs around like chicken with head cut off........
  13. Unleash Tyrod Taylor..................from what ? Taylor can't read defenses, and he can't hit receivers in stride. So............what are they gonna do? Have him stand in the pocket and hit open receivers coming across the middle in stride ? What's he gonna do, suddenly put the ball where only the receiver can catch it ? It's a nice thought, but IMHO hopeless..........
  14. Watching this game tonight, and seeing our former draft picks who are now with the Patriots, gives me more confidence that out new coaches actually know what they're doing.
  15. Maybe J Williams told management he didn't want to spend another year rebuilding and wanted to test the waters as a Free Agent ?
  16. For the first time in a long time, we have a HC and a GM on the same page. Beane is going to work to get McD the players he wants to fit the scheme he wants. We have some good players on the team already, but we don't know what the atmosphere is like in the clubhouse. Some of these guys maybe just want out, and a chance to win a ring with the Pats.......nobody talks about that angle. Some were brought in before Marone and his scheme; some during Marone; some were picked by Rex for his scheme; now we're doing the same thing, except for McD. Yes, this year is a wash, and I agree it's a waste for Tyrod to start. He's not in the future. If he has a good year, he'll leave. Peterman looks like a guy that can throw short quick passes. Tyrod can't do that and never will. Go Bills !
  17. I wish Kevon Seymour the best of luck. Getting cut from a Bills team that will probably go 5-11 is tough, but you never know. Kevon might have said something in the locker room that was considered inappropriate. I never expected to see him cut, but then, what do I know.............
  18. After 17 years of frustration, if tanking this year is the only way to replace Jim Kelly, I'm in. I would prefer to have Tyrod as QB while we tank, instead of Peterman. Tyrod has already made his millions and can retire tomorrow. I'd hate to ask Peterman to sacrifice his career for this...................but, these are desperate times.
  19. Based on what I saw yesterday, we have a D that's not too bad, and an O that's not very good. When I look at this years schedule, see 2 wins against the Jets, a win against the Chargers, and a win against the Colts. After that, I'm not really sure we can beat the Dolphins more than once, or anybody else on the schedule. Optimistically I'm looking at a 7-9 season, but realistically, it's looking like it might be 6-10. We've got a tough year ahead of us.
  20. I'll bet some of those recently departed studs, like Sammy and Darby, might have let it be known that they wanted out of town. Sort of like Kyrie Irving asking to leave Cleveland........... OBD isn't going to announce publicly that they have a bunch of disgruntled players who aren't interested in another rebuild. I think they're hoping to bring in guys who know what they're getting into and want the job, and gain some draft spots, too.
  21. Pre - season ?? How many batted balls were there tonight? Wasn't it like 6 to 0 ? How can that number be so lopsided ??? Is that because our QB's haven't seen D players with their arms up in practice? Could that be because our DC doesn't game plan for that ? WTF ????
  22. Batted Balls............what was the differential ? 6 to nothing? Maybe because Baltimore game plans for that, and we don't....?
  23. Think about this........ Chan Gailey took a team as bad as this one, and did a respectable job trying to make it look respectable. This coaching staff isn't trying to do that........... If we had Wade Phillips as HC, Chan Gailey as OC, and Jim Schwartz as DC, we'd be winning games. All those guys got cut loose by team management..............there's the problem...............
  24. It would have been fun to watch a 2nd string Tyrod Taylor try to bring the Bills back at the end of the game, down by 6 points, instead of Yates.
