Start Cardale. Tank guaranteed.
-
But wait. Isnt Whaley the best GM in the league. Clearly Ross Tucker doesnt know the game of football(sarcasm) or else he simply has an agenda(double sarcasm).
But if we cut Tyrod and go with Jones, its a rebuild at that point,
Full tank. Gunning for Darnold if they cut tyrod. I like Tyrod but Ill throw away a season if it means fixing qb for 15 years.
-
literally laughed out loud
I like Cardale but DW has been a big part of a front office that has missed on guys like Russell Wilson, David Carr and Dak Prescott......passed right under his nose....but he trusts his eyes on Cardale? Hmmm
Arent you forgetting that Cardale is a piece of clay?
-
Carucci used to be a reputable reporter. Now he's just a hack.
You dont find this report believable? After the embarrassment that is EJ and the ridiculous we got a piece of clay we can mold comment? Its so far fetched that Whaley wants his guy on the field?
-
The tone of this article sounds like someone with an agenda.
A. Washington had a great rookie year for an interior rookie lineman taken in the third round. Regardless of his size.
Wake me up in two years from now. If Lawson gets 8-12 sacks a season, Ragland turns into an every down LB with Seymour and Washington improving on a solid rookie campaign, talk to me then.
Clearly anyone who says anything negative about a team that hasnt made the playoffs in seventeen years has an agenda.
-
They are clearly tanking for Darnold. This move nails it down.

Crazy thing is with under 5 minutes to go the Falcons had the ball at the New England 22 1st and 10.
Any logical coach would have gathered himself went jumbo and slammed the ball 3 times into the line. Assuming 3 1 yard losses you're looking at 4th and 13 at the 25 with 4:20 to go assuming New England used all 3 timeouts. The game essentially become out of reach with a 43 yard field goal which is converted 80% of the time.
Now you kickoff up 11 and the Patriots need to get 2 possessions to win. No chance.
Dan Quinn took Pete Carrolls game plan with him apparently.
-
But Rex wasn't allowed to leave the building. The Pegulas were cornered.
And Russ Brandon still has a job! Amazing!
-
Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. God bless!
-
He doesnt get ready cause hes not good enough and never will be.
-
And free agency.

This x1000
Just say no to the injury prone pocket passer. Cap money will be hard enough to find. Don't spend big bucks on somebody who will be on IR before October.
Thats the same injury prone QB who didnt miss a game last year? That one!
-
Great. Well give up a one and three this year. A two next year. And hell last three games. Sounds like a Billsy move to me.
Romo isnt going to a team that is at least three years away.I'm looking forward to the draft and seeing what is going to unfold. The first 3 teams, Cleveland, SAN Francisco and Chicago, are all heavily rumored to be taking a QB. Romo should be in high demand for some of these QB needy teams so there is no need for the Bills to overpay,
-
No. Well just draft a hall of famer in round seven or trade three ones and watch Romo play six games then retire. Much better plan.Keep those fingers crossed. He will learn how to read defenses and throw slants magically.
-
Please find better things to get upset about.
Hes right. Deal with it!
Just read Jay Skurski's summation of the Daily News interview with Ryan. What a classless, senseless, irresponsible, obnoxious, pathetic ingrate.
Saying he doesn't wish the team luck (to me, shows you just how close this 'players' coach' really is to his players), blaming everyone else for his failure and taking zero responsibility, implying the Bills position was not a "realistic opportunity", suggesting he joined a team in disarray as he was "not real lucky coming in there with the situation" he did, and bragging about the additional 15 million the Bills have to pay him.
What a classless moron, the incompetent huckster fool he has defined himself as over the last 7-8 years.
Talk about burning your bridges. Stupid, classless, clown.
Couldnt have said it better.
-
I'm just the marketing guy and for the record have no input on anything football related(that fail) but "Don't let him leave the building"
How Brandon still has a job is beyond me.
-
Ill help ya out rex. Our defense went from 4th to 19th. You had a sub five hundred record here with owners who want to win championships. You instill zero discipline in your players and your game day management sucks. Nice job having ten guys on the field vs Miami. Thats why you got fired. MORON!!!!!

SHOW ME THE MMMOOONNNNNNEEEYYY!!!!!!!

Well lets try to explain it. Outside guy. As in someone who hasnt worked for the Bills before. Someone who has a little different point of view on how things should be done. Somebody who has zero loyalty to any player or assistant coach currently in the organization. Somebody the players might not feel comfortable with due to their unfamilarity with said coach. There seems to be a heightened sense of fear amongst employees (players) when a new boss is brought in from another company as opposed to promoting from within. At least thats been my experience at any company I ever worked for. Fear tends to motivate people. What? An outside guy as HC? Sorry I'm not following you anymore. The OP's point was ludicrous, for reasons that I and a lot of others have said. I can't really follow what you're saying above but if your point is "they wanted an outside guy" then my initial point still stands - you don't impose a previous regime's strategy on a new coaching staff, especially when that previous regime produced thoroughly mediocre results.
And who says they are scrapping the offense? What I read about Dennison in another thread is that hes adaptable to his personel. We may run an offense similar to last year. With a few new wrinkles. The blocking scheme is different but Ive heard more than one national guy say the players currently on the oline can handle that change.
On another note Im watching Basic Instict right now. Good god Sharon Stone and Jeanne Tripplehorn where off the charts smoking hot in that movie. Not sure who was hotter. Maybe I should start a poll.
-
Couldn't Lynn, as HC, have hired a new DC to do that?
Yes but I think they just wanted an outside guy. I really didnt like the fact that all the players where backing him up. Lynn that is. Think they felt a little too comfortable with him. Nothing wrong with the fear of the unknown. Gonna keep people on their toes.

I've had beef w/ Sullivan plenty of times over the years, but this isn't one of them. Hogan is having a really good season. It wasn't just one game. He had 95 yards receiving in the Pats first playoff game. As was pointed out in the article, he had more receiving yards this year than any Bills player. Of course, Brady is the key, no one is denying that. But plenty of wideouts have played with Brady without putting up close to 300 yards and two TDs in two playoff games. Given how thin we were at WR this year, letting Hogan walk WAS a bad move. Jerry Sullivan is a dope but he's not the problem. Doug Whaley GTFO
Sorry but Im not losing sleep over 38 catches for 680 yards and four tds when Brady is your qb and Garapollo looked like Brady Jr when Brady was out.
-
Tank and rebuild.
Wouldnt have a problem with this but if your gonna do it make Cardale your starter. Remember. Hes a piece of clay. We can mold him into sucking probably moreso than making him good. Everyone runs five yards downfield and turns for the ball on every play. Defenses will sit on that and well be lucky to get ten points a game. Should also be good for a dozen or so pick sixes. Let the tight end run a down and in every so often not to make it look to obvious.
-
Maybe he brings in an offense that makes taylor better.
If they wanted continuity on offense, why not just keep Lynn? As good as Shady and the run blocking were, I'd prefer seeing a passing game at least compete with the standards of this millennium.
Because they want somebody to fix the defense.
-
Sure, Whaley can get some good players. But have you seen his press conferences?
Kidding aside, the most underrated signing by Whaley has been Monos.
Yes Whaley can get good players as clearly demonstrated by his four year contribution to the playoff drought. Best GM in the NFL.
If the Bills intentional tank the season DW should be fired

Theyve been loving it for 17 years. Why would they change now?
