NFL: Alex Smith goes down in preseason, Mahomes takes over and Chiefs achieve 14-2 record then win Super Bowl. Mahomes league MVP.
Bills- Bills finish 8-8, no playoffs. Chiefs are accused of cheating in super bowl and have 1st round draft pick taken away, despite the fact that they traded it to Bills.

Who cares if there's no one on the other end to catch it? Power without accuracy and timing is not very useful.

Hopefully they'll find a couple late round gems. Odds aren't great, but buy-in is cheap. Day 3 you can gamble and not set your franchise back five years..and don't forget UDFA. Go Bills!

You all know this league is entertainment, right? Not life and death. Regardless of whether the Bills win it all or lose every game, we still have to get up the next day and move on with our lives. I get the passion, just don't let a football teams failures define you.
Besides, it's April, and no one knows how things will shake out. Season is five months away... Take a breath.

That's because almost none of us if any at all actually has a clue how all this works under the curtain. We are fantastic, however at rampant speculation!!!

The answer to that question has multiple moving parts. Simply making the playoffs is not as complicated as the Bills have made it look. All the other dysfunctional franchises have gotten lucky occasionally for different reasons. It's actually statistically odd that the Bills have missed this many times in a row. Qb is a big cog in the wheel, but lots of less than stellar qbs have made playoff appearances.

Only if he's no good. Even if you only get 1 contract out of him it's better than a bust or career ended by injuries.

Mahomes is a project with a high ceiling. But if he fails to become a franchise qb, which is quite likely, the Chiefs have set themselves back. I know the Bills need to draft and develop a qb, but this guy has a lot of question marks for #10 overall and in a better qb class would most likely never be valued this high. Just have to wait and see..
When apples are ripe, you pick apples, not oranges just because you want oranges. This looks like apple season to me. If you don't need apples, you set yourself up to pick oranges when they are ripe. Essentially that's what happened last night.
Unless you can pick unripe oranges cheaper and wait for them.

It's only laughable if Mahommes becomes a franchise qb. Otherwise the Bills did a good job getting extra picks in a deep draft year.
I want them to draft a guy too but was never convinced anyone in this year's crop is worth it. Your first round pick should be field ready and White qualifies. Most of this year's qbs need two years carrying a clipboard at least. Good luck chiefs. You're gonna need it.

Just goes to show you how difficult this decision is. Every team had a shot at Brady and Montana. But then again, do they become who we know them as now if they get drafted by different teams? Also a lot more failures on those lists than successes. Seems to be a combination of right person, right place, right time.
That being said, you can't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket.
I'm hoping Peterman really have a good camp
