Dan Orlovsky….. Bills offense is fundamentally broken
MAJBobby replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
While Dan sometimes lets his wants get in the way of his breakdowns and why I like Baldys more. the Statement he made is absolutely true. Why do you run Pre-Snap Motion if you are not going to use the information provided to you during that motion. far to often have I seen the pre-snap motion and no adjustment in the route/play/concept based off the information gained on that motion. -
They all do. Again you let your next Offensive Minded (hopefully) Head Coach make the decision on Josh. It really isn’t that hard

Old saying: “Teams are a reflection of their COACH”
MAJBobby replied to WinterSoldier17's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here is another thing on McD that likely is helping losing the locker room. Cook loses the football fighting for extra yards and gets benched. (FINE) Gabe Davis runs wrong routes, cannot catch balls in his hands leading to Picks. Invisible for weeks on end - Loses no snaps. Phillips makes a bone head dumb penalty - loses no snaps von Miller misses tackles - loses no snaps (well only plays what 10). PLAYERS see that -
Why doesn’t he seem coachable? Because he has completely changed out he plays the position for the OC and McD? I can point to many Franchise QBs that lost the football games so that is nothing more than hyperbole

Old saying: “Teams are a reflection of their COACH”
MAJBobby replied to WinterSoldier17's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here is my take on McD 1. His in game flaws never have improved they still are there with the poor in game decisions in game management 2. He got what he was asking for since he has been here. A basic boring offense. 3. Makes every decision in his mind based on what is best for the defense. Those and his other flaws are well known. However the team ALWAYS has played disciplined football with him as a coach. They have always came out ready to play for him as a coach. Ever since Damar went down something broke that was the turning point. While McD as a person was probably the best person to lead this team through all the tragedy last year off field and on. That also seem to have broken something when Damar went down. maybe that something is never going to get reported on but that moment something happened with the influence in the room. this team now still has ALL McD flaws (they are still there - like Josh’s). BUT this team is now undisciplined and making very basic mistakes that have not been seen during McD. I see a football team tuning out the coaches message at this point. that right there is enough to go in my opinion he has lost the locker room and it started when Damar went down to be honest. -
That contract is unmovable so you give your new offensive minded head coach a shot with him. He is light years more talented that a Goff and look what coaching has done for him. I can say the same for Stafford
-
My solution would be Fire the HC and entire Offensive Staff. defensive position group coaches can stay pending an evaluation from your new Offensive minded coach. That coach then makes the decision on Allen. I am not forcing Allen on a coach. But there are enough coaches that will love to coach him. Allen is salvageable In my opinion. And if he isn’t you eventually will get a top pick to get a new one

So where in my post did I not put a heaping serving of blame for where we are on the QB? I have been a pretty harsh critic of Josh this year take a lot of heat about it. But it is what it is. The guy cannot do basic stuff at this point. Even in this very basic offense.

The regression of this team since the Championship Loss cannot be ignored. 2020 - lost in Championship Game 2021 - Lost in Divisional game 13 seconds 2022 - lost by 17 at home in Divisional Game. 2023 - 5-5 The “Process” is stale and unfortunately I don’t see an easy way to solve this next year either with the Cap the Bills currently have. the team is Old, slow and the coaching is Stale. we are the Marvin Lewis Bengals of this era at this point. And yes while I am going to blame coaching right now. Josh REALLY can you finally improve on ball security. You have been in the league long enough to freaking go at least back to back games without a turnover. How about you end your ***** streak of what 6 games with a pick to start.

Must watch Clip. Dan breaks down this play VERY WELL

They are fine when they are actually helpful. This year it seems to be the Defense is Always out of position when they are used this year. Still trying to figure out why you give TB time to set up for a FG calling timeout for them

Game felt much different than the score. However much better game from the offense IMO, which is funny only scoring 24 and had 25 Sunday but to me the offense just looked and felt better, more effecient, like the playcalls built off eachother. just felt much better. Defense played decent. but was not the best and kept the game close with mistakes extending drives. All and All needed win and got it on a short week. Still alot to work on and get a little healthy during the mini bye

Bills Current Playoff percentages. To Make Playoffs - 61% Win Division - 24% First round bye - 2% per NYT playoff Picture

Bills restructured Dawkins contract, create Cap space
MAJBobby replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah because the entire Beane Tends is irrelevant as I just showed you he targets more than depth players -

And yet immediately in the very next offseason trade happened. I cannot tell you how many times teams think they are better than they are in season. Hold only to move immediately for a lesser deal after -

Does trying to get Diggs in season qualify as bottom of depth chart guys? -

For the record Did try to get Diggs in season before the offseason trade. So not sure how much the Benjamin thing still weighs on their minds at this point. -
Could be. I expect cash in and cash out. However with the Dawkins restructuring likely takes the cash out need off the table depending on who and contract coming back.

He is only owed like 1M this season left and 8M non guaranteed next. -

Looks up contract. yep this restructure would be needed to facilitate roughly the 2.2M Jewell would be owed for the remainder of the season. -

Well technically they would have had to make it to have operating money for the rest of the year. But Dhop is only owed something like 1M for the rest of the year. so technically could have made the trade without this restructure occurring first. -

This was the restructure I talked they would fit any player over 1.3M cap hit. this restructure also would not have been needed for DHop -
