First of all, even if the candidate I vote for loses, I'm not moving out of the country, and don't believe it means the end of Western Civilization. I think both love their country and will honestly do what they believe is best - even if I disagree with one moreso than the other, I'm here to stay. We're going to fight this GWOT, and we're going to succeed. The will of Americans is greater than one man for four years. Secondly, I wish both of these guys would just take today off, sit down with friends or family, and enjoy a football game. Go Bills!

Serious question for the anti-Kerry crowd
Terry Tate replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's pretty weak. Choosing differently than Bush or Kerry is not the same as making "NO choice". How does that make a person worse? -
Hey cablelady, I live close enough to see the Bills play in person if I want to, something I have total control over. But I want to complain about how the NFL, cable and DTV choose which game to broadcast, something none of us have any control over. Waaaa! I think maybe his reception is being affected by not improper construction of his Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie - shiny side out, JP-era. Shiny side out.

Dear Americans, Good grief, some of you really are easy. Let's see if this clears it up: 1. You re-elect Bush. See? We were right all along - you're evil, and we're justified in killing you. On with the fight! 2. You elect Kerry. See? We were right all along - your're evil, and you admit it by changing presidents, and we're justified in killing you. On with the fight! Thanks, Terrorists

How does Willis for Peerless look now?
Terry Tate replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. But the first thing I thought of when you brought up the two of them in one post was the separate images of them in Bills uniforms quitting on a play. Weird, huh? -
God Will Not Allow Buffalo to Win SB
Terry Tate replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Relax, Cigarette-Smoking Man is through. It'll happen someday. Lydon: I'm working on next month's Oscar nominations. Any preference? Cigarette-Smoking Man: I couldn't care less. What I don't want to see is the Bills winning the Super Bowl. As long as I'm alive, that doesn't happen. Jones: That'll be tough, sir. Buffalo wants it bad. Cigarette-Smoking Man: So did the Soviets in '80. Jones: What are you saying? That you rigged the Olympic hockey game? Cigarette-Smoking Man: What's the matter? Don't you believe in miracles? -
If you could see any player play again...
Terry Tate replied to ofiba's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best answer yet. Yeah, we'd all like to see Drew play again in his prime. -
DEAD MAN WALKING! Sorry, just can't stop myself from doing that. Best wishes to the happy couple. And Pinto Ron, thanks for being Pinto Ron - you and your tailgates make Bills fans everywhere look good.

I've tried this about three times
Terry Tate replied to _BiB_'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's my favorite part about this board, when someone calls someone else stupid while making spelling and grammatical errors. It never gets old. I guess I'm just easily amused. "Some people have a way with words, and some people no have way" - Robin Williams -

Huh. So what explains those with ten billion times more knowledge and experience in the arena that disagree with you? -

Well, maybe John Kerry will be elected and everyone will like us again. UN: US, you look marvelous! US: It's better to look good than to feel good, UN! -

Beats me. I posted the same information about the US removing the Uranium here including the source - last count, zero responses. If the President would just own up to this, we could get on with the business of healing the hole in the heart of the world. -
I think the 100 yard field will still work for Drew, we just need to make the endzones about 40 yards deep. That said, I feel good about our chances every week. One of the reasons I'm a little unhinged.

You just let blzrul off the hook. This is the funniest post I've read yet today.

A question for the experts at PPP.
Terry Tate replied to CoachChuckDickerson's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I still think it's going to be a large margin of victory - I just don't know for which side. Since I answered, can I call myself an expert now? -
GWB and where the buck stops
Terry Tate replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I agree with your assessment that most voters are in fact in favor of big government (99% seems a little high, but a majority anyway). I disagree Democrats vote for what they believe in - many examples to choose from, if you wish. The argument about winning the best outcome you can, or losing horribly with your personal integrity intact has been going on for a while. You've made your choice, I've made mine. We'll both be able to sleep after we vote. P.S. Forget Stalin blushing. -
Check out the big brain on Brett
Terry Tate replied to Terry Tate's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The information available suggests Bush and Kerry are both neither geniuses or simpletons - it's not looking too good for you, though. -
GWB and where the buck stops
Terry Tate replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So about 99% of voters are either lost causes or morons. With that out of the way, who do you support in this election, and what is their chance of pulling off an upset? -
It might yet be. I find it hard to believe that in a time of a controversial war, that it is going to be close. It goes against historical trends. I still expect a large margin of victory for one or the other - I just don't know which one.

GWB and where the buck stops
Terry Tate replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
We are faced with a choice between two men, so yes, the evaluation of either may be done in a vacuum, but ultimately must be compared and contrasted with his opponent. What is your problem with bringing both of them into a discussion? I'm weighing the pros and cons of having one as president against the other. You ask "can't you do better"? No unfortunately, I don't believe I can. It's a choice between Bush and Kerry, and I don't believe Kerry would be better. I didn't help nominate Bush in 2000. Did you help nominate Kerry? Is that the best you can do? There's better qualified individuals out there - do you have a plan for getting one of them elected instead of one of these two? -
As I sat and pondered my son's recent IQ test results, I began to do a little research on the topic, and came upon some interesting reading regarding presidential IQ's. It would be difficult to overstate the general consensus amongst the left that John Kerry is smarter than George Bush - a view that is perhaps held even among some Bush supporters. Howell Raines, former Executive Editor of the NYT asks "Does anyone in America doubt that Kerry has a higher IQ than Bush? I'm sure the candidates' SATs and college transcripts would put Kerry far ahead." See the story here However, a pretty exhaustive analysis performed by Steve Sailer (conservative columnist) of both candidates' testing throughout their careers reveals that they are relatively equal when it comes to IQ - neither a genius, but well above the average college graduate (114). It appears to place George Bush slightly ahead of John Kerry, but not in such that I believe it would make that much of a difference. It also pokes fun at a couple liberal beliefs about IQ: First, that IQ is a meaningless, utterly discredited concept, and Second, that liberals are better than conservatives because they have much higher IQs. I believe I've noticed a little bit of that type of attitude in one or two posts here. That story can be read here. Sailer followed that with an interesting article about IQ and leadership entitled "Does IQ matter in a president?" which you can read here. His site (link) has quite a few interesting discussions. It's worth a look.

Pu$$y. I stayed through President Carter's term, and both of President Clinton's. What's with you kids these days? No scrotal fortitude.

Ok, so now that we know the HMX WAS there
Terry Tate replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What six degrees of separation? With you, it's more like one. Seems like every other post of yours is peppered with a friend or a relative who's intimately involved with whatever current event is taking place in the world. I swear, they ought to transfer you to missing persons. -
GWB and where the buck stops
Terry Tate replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You're welcome. Thanks for ignoring my response, which was just how does this apology further our national interest? I can support the President because I think Mr Kerry is flimsier, more gutless, less intelligent, and more liberal. Not the most ringing endorsement, I know, but you chose the standards, so I went with it. I believe the alternative to be worse. I understand you have a different point of view. I don't agree with it, I'll argue it with you, but I understand you've gathered the available information and reached a different opinion. Perhaps your difficulty in comprehending my view is that you've concluded that your opinions are facts, and alternatives are impossible. -
If you could trade for any ONE player
Terry Tate replied to bartshan-83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only one player, that's a tough call. I'd have to work from the inside out, I guess. Kent Hull.
