Thanks for the complement. I think I summarized your principled position pretty well. You are no doubt aware there are lawyers that are pro-choice that feel the right to privacy decision was in error. Just thought I'd mention that for those who haven't come across that before, less they think that all pro-choice lawyers are of the same mind on that particular decision. The bottom line for me is a simple answer to your question is wrong, either way you answer it.

I don't think you'd have to get a direct hit, would you? If you taped it somewhere on the bike you could reach and just leave a trail of pepper spray behind you, he'd probably get the message. Or how about a super-freakin' loud air horn?

Don't marry her unless she can pass a 140-question Buffalo Bills test. And don't ever let her touch your records.

Strict = narrow = bad - got it. Broad interpretation = right to abort babies = good. Glad we have a lawyer to explain it to us.

Worst thing about this game:
Terry Tate replied to RuntheDamnBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What drives me nuts was not the praise for a good job when it was due (unfortunately, often enough), but when the Patriots had a play for no yardage or negative yards, and they continue to praise them. If the Bills manage to actually cover all the receivers on one play and Brady has to throw it away or get sacked, then he's a brilliant player that just made a smart decision to throw the ball away, and executed it perfectly. If you can't credit a defense for a negative or no gain, shut up already! -
Open letter to Bush on Church and State

Win-win? Did you say WIN-WIN??? Sorry, I just can't wrap my brain around the thought of having to deal with more than one woman on a daily basis. If that's part of the deal, I'm not playing. -
Perhaps "strictly interpret" was chosen because it has a different meaning than "narrowly interpret." You change strictly to narrowly, then defined it further as "to limit as much as possible". I don't find that definition anywhere. I don't read the same context into it as you do. With a premise built on that, perhaps it's difficult to find someone who will debate your question of why conservatives wish to take away our freedoms. Just a guess.

Thank you for taking the time to remember us. You're welcome - serving our country on active duty, then as a civilian supporting active duty troops has been one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life. I feel I owe the armed forces a debt of gratitude for all the ways I have benefited from serving - too many to mention. There will always be a place in my heart for those who make the commitment. I'm off to other things now. Thank you to all those who have served, continue to do so, and to their families.

Republican "Small Government"
Terry Tate replied to John Adams's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I agree with your overall sentiment - don't forget air traffic control, fire and police emergency dispatch, etc. There are legitimate purposes for maintaining frequency control and separation. The morality police aspect would be another good example that both major parties are in favor of big government. -

John Gillespie Magee, Jr. wrote that. He broke the law during WWII by crossing into Canada - not to evade war, but to join the fight against Hitler. From the National Museum of the USAF -
KD in CT's right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take these bastards. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.

Perfect. Just what this board needed, a sarcasm thread.

Moorman, McGee, McGahee, Adams, Clements, and DON'T FORGET BOBBY APRIL! -
Tough to argue with any of that. One thing, though. If you're going to stay home until the whole thing blows over, you may want to stock up - it could be a while.

NOT TRUE: Sudan offer to turnover OBL
Terry Tate replied to Mickey's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I don't like the "well, he said it, but he mispoke" defense - the left would never allow that type of thing to fly with a republican. In Bill Clinton's own words: "He was expelled from Saudi Arabia in 1991, then he went to Sudan. And we'd been hearing that the Sudanese wanted America to start dealing with them again. "They released him. At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America. "So I pleaded with the Saudis to take him, 'cause they could have. But they thought it was a hot potato and they didn't and that's how he wound up in Afghanistan." Bill Clinton at the Long Island Association on Feb. 15, 2002 Listen to the audio here. RECOGNIZE that Sudan was absolutely full of crap in their dealings with us, and it's unlikely that they would have been handing him over that easily. IMO, what this issue drives home for me is the extreme difficulties that arise when dealing with terrorism as a law enforcement issue. What we really needed at the time was to have Saudi Arabia jail him (like THAT was going to happen), and then work on proceedings to bring him here. When he went to Afghanistan, the Taliban was obviously not going to do this either, so from a legal standpoint, we were pretty helpless. So I believe Bill Clinton when he says there was no deal presented - but that's the problem with the approach at the time. -
With such a good special teams performance today, it got me thinking I'd like to see the Bills hang two kickoff returns for TD's on those bastards next week.

Bills team members change their names Amalgamated Press 10/31/2004 11:04 PM The Buffalo Bills announced several players are to legally change their names. The announcement followed the team's second victory of the year, led by standout performances from Willis McGahee and Terrence McGee. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make this a better team", quarterback Drew McBledsoe said. "I just want to help this team win." Offensive linemen Marcus McPrice, Mike McPucillo, Lawrence McSmith, Trey McTeague, Ross McTucker, Chris McVillarial and Mike McWilliams, echoed McBledsoe's comments. Tackle Dylan McFarland is the only lineman who is not changing his name. Also at the conference, Head Coach Mike Mularky announced receiver Josh McReed's knee injury would be re-evaluated Monday.

I ordered a pepperoni pizza yesterday, and they made one with ham on it instead. Does that mean interest rates are going to go up?

Relax. The topic was originally posted here, and although you didn't address the topic specifically, you posted to that thread. When you started new thread on the same topic saying you just heard of it, the remainder of the thread was used just being used to poke fun at you. The topic was actually still under discussion on the original thread. Danged if you didn't just go and do the same thing again. They're not all out to get you. Well, a lot of them are, but what the heck.
