  1. NFL.com article on free agency categories (from last year).
  2. Interesting discussion. I found what appears to be his source here. I don't know anything about the 'Institute for Historical Review', but a quick look around reveals they are not well thought of by the Jewish Anti-Defamation League. That's as far as I'm researching that.
  3. Whew, Multi-Level Marketing (MLM). There's usually no middle ground on this; either people are convinced they're going to make "$x,xxx in one week working at home!", or they believe it's another scam in a long line of programs that make the real money by selling the program to other hopeful entepreneurs, and not on the actual product. Some research will reveal pretty much the same supporters and detractors on both sides of any MLM program. I've been looking for ideas to start my own business, and MLM's don't appeal to me. Try to find sources in your research that are not trying to sell you something - many sources that disparage MLM are in fact trying to sell you something else. Be careful with your money.
  4. LOL, to paraphrase TMQ, this is the kind of hidden indicator that is essential to an insider's understanding of Pete. Unfortunately, I have no idea what it means.
  5. It's not often you hear people say flat out they aren't taxed enough. Maybe they'll let you pay extra.
  6. You were supposed to trade in that snowblower when you crossed the state line for a generator and a chainsaw.
  7. Uh, I believe the closest I ever got to Latham was Voorheesville. And it wasn't the Peace Corps, it was the Air Force. And yes, there usually was alcohol involved in there somewhere.
  8. I should take this opportunity to state I do not believe I know your mother, and I am not aware of any children I may or may not have fathered during the period of time I resided in Buffalo.
  9. LOL, I was still a toddler during the AFL Championship seasons, so I know exactly what you mean. Always a Bills fan (but it was actually Braves first, then a tie between Sabres and Bills). Remember how you used to 'be' a player when you had a pickup game? There was one kid in my neighborhood who would 'be' a player from another city's team - can you believe it? It gets worse - I distinctly remember him 'being' Mercury Morris at one point. I never liked that damn kid. It still pisses me off.
  10. Browns fans don't defect. The story is about Ben R's hometown. There were probably some Bills' jerseys sold in East Brady, PA some years ago.
  11. Actually, if he gets good value for him, my opinion of Tice would go up. Here's the latest CNN/SI rumor mill. From the same page: Coach Jon Gruden confirmed the Bucs are interested in trading for Bills running back Travis Henry. -- St. Petersburg Times
  12. Anyone watch HBO's Inside the NFL this week? Opening segment they made some comment about not being as hard on Marino as his network co-anchors. Didn't mention Boomer, but you know what they were laughing about. The segment on Pittsburgh's game had Jerome Bettis mic'ed up. Some players are very aware of themselves being mic'ed up, and it's not very interesting. But Bettis didn't appear that way. Some funny stuff there - I really like this guy's personality. Obviously having a lot of fun during the game, yukking it up with teammates and the opposing team. After the Jets missed one field goal, and were about to make the second attempt, Bettis is sitting on the bench muttering "Oh man, we're asking a lot here. We're asking a lot."
  13. Same way I feel about Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Visions of Wayne's World. Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me ...
  14. I use http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ as a reference for computer security issues. You don't need to register to browse the tutorials and discussions. Lots of good information.
  15. I passed through London on a hitchhiking trip a couple decades or so ago. Nice mainstreet/downtown surrounded by pretty countryside. You could do worse.
  16. Johnny Coli definitely has some writing talent, but the story is just not for me. But I can appreciate his writing skill all the same. Of the few that post to their blog on a routine basis, I've enjoyed Millbank's the most. I'm not comparing writing styles, because Millbank's blog is just a series of random thoughts, but he's got some terrific links, such as Issac Asimov's article on our national anthem, Russell H. Conwell's The History of Fifty-seven Cents lecture, Martin Luther King's Drum Major sermon, and Frank Deford's article on Bill Russell. All terrific reads.
  17. Wow, that was an interesting look at your opinion a couple years ago. Not to take a position on your opinion either way, it just reminded me of what my friend's late father used to tell us when we were teenagers and full of ourselves - Do you know more now than when you were (8, or 10, etc) years old? Do you? Well, I'm 52 now, so what do you say you give me a little (expletive) credit? Do you think I may have learned a thing or two since I was eighteen? He did. RIP Mr M., I appreciate your words more now than then.
  18. I think you have to pay for the video to find that out.
  19. Not just in the right place, but able to tackle properly. A big difference when the first guy there makes the tackle, and good defenses have more of those than not. Are all the poor tackling defense teams now out of the playoffs? I really don't want to watch any more Seattle or St Louis-type defenses.
  20. Didn't you just do what you were mocking with your first post?
  21. So you're criticizing conservatives for not criticizing a celebrity charity fundraiser, because they criticize celebrities when they campaign for political opponents of conservatives, and not when they sing "God Bless the USA" which you criticize. Got it. Thanks for the useful information.
  22. There is no actual rooting for teams other than Buffalo allowed in my house. But hoping other AFC East teams lose is acceptable.
  23. Proven here every day.
