  1. I asked for some proof on a point of an argument I've seen advanced numerous times in this debate, and your response is to call me myopic, chastise me to be a 'good boy', and further tell me what to comment on? What kind of nonsense is that? I think a point of the argument that is being defended is not based on fact. If you do not wish to offer proof or concede the point, then perhaps you can mind your own business.
  2. For the second time, I understand exactly what emergency contraception means. That's why I think it's funny. Contraception, as in to prevent conception. Emergency, as in a sudden, unforseen crisis; a situation that poses an immediate threat to human life or serious damage to property. "911, what's your emergency?" I guess I am the only one who sees the humor in it.
  3. Knuckle-dragging misongynistic pig? I thought the opposition in this thread were Nazis or Facists. Oh well, well scored - a clear debate point for you there. I believe I perfectly understand what a "emergency" contraceptive is, and I'm still amused by the term. Feel free to call me whatever name it is you prefer.
  4. Yet they won't name one of these communities either, they just assure you they exist, and that there are many of them. Having lived out in the country before, where we had to drive long distances to do any type of shopping at all, I remain skeptical. If I'm wrong, and there are so many of these towns out there where Wal-Mart is the only place to get a prescription filled, I'm sure someone can prove it by naming one of them.
  5. Excellent. You've narrowed it down to three states. Now, since the argument has been made this is important because there are so many of them, can someone name one?
  6. Name one. Should be easy if there are many of them.
  7. Another good one. Contraceptives, the new life saving medicine. Keep 'em coming.
  8. LOL, 'emergency' contraception pills. Pregnancy, the new disease.
  9. My favorite haunted house movie is House. Although I don't know if the house was haunted, if it was all in the guy's head, or both. But a great movie, in an Army of Darkness kind of way. Harold: Great to have a new neighbor. The woman that lived here before you was nuts. Biggest b***h under the sun. Just a senile old hag really. Wouldnt be surprised if someone got fed up and offed her. Know what I mean? Roger: She was my aunt. Harold: Heart of gold though..just a saint really..and such a beautiful woman for her age.
  10. In this specific case, that is not an issue either. Just wanted to clarify that intelligence collection is not as much an either/or proposition as boots on the ground. Adding missions or targets surely places additional strains on resources, but today's technology allows for a lot more flexibility than the hard choice of putting a rifleman in one location or the other. That's all I meant to say.
  11. Sounds like common sense when you explain it that way. But having worked missions on both targets you reference, sometimes on the same shift, I can assure you that targets worldwide can be exploited without moving a single linguist anywhere.
  12. Well done. It's a nice change of pace to be able to agree with Mickey/KRC in one thread in back-to-back posts. I wish I could say that more often.
  13. It helps the hearing impaired follow the lyrics.
  14. I don't know where all these capable, bright and intelligent voters are that you speak of. Of any race. Registered in either major party. I have to call major, gigantic, heaping BS on that one. The propaganda has been selling well for years, and nearly everyone's buying.
  15. If AQ is tired of the fight, they can cry 'uncle' any time (what grown-ups call unconditionally surrendering). Until they do, continue killing them.
  16. The best part of the best post. I taught my kids how to read and write before they entered kindergarten. I didn't stop there. They'll do just fine in public schools.
  17. I'd be more curious as to the relationship between average income and convictions. Actually, I'm not curious, as I know damn well what it would reflect. Unless you think OJ the janitor would also be free. Maybe instead of blaming racism for a higher percentage of black convictions, our resident lawyer will recognize there is a far greater number of blacks being convicted for a lack of a high-dollar defense, and offer his services for free.
  18. You're gonna need a bigger boat.
  19. , gentlemen do not read each other's mail. The modern-day Henry Stimpson's are no doubt shocked.
  20. I would take a wild guess that non-law-enforcement-derived (for the folks focusing on the warrant aspect) communications intercepts that include a US citizen as a participant, a person on US soil as a participant, or even reference a US citizen are destroyed. Chances are they probably cannot be recorded, transcribed, reported on, or otherwise used in any manner without prior authorization on that specific individual by the Attorney General. That's just the kind of Executive Order that might have come down after the abuse of the intelligence agencies against US citizens that occurred, say, in the 1970's. Possibly. Unless a President were to sign an Executive Order, such as the one that maybe outlined the above restrictions, that eased those restrictions under certain specific circumstances and allowed collection on individuals who were communicating with known terrorists. Hypothetically speaking, that'd be my guess. So no, I am not worried about it. But it is an interesting discussion.
  21. Telling someone how to raise their kids is always a good way to start a fight. If your kids aren't causing anyone any grief, as children or adults, in a restaurant, store or on the local news headlines, I really don't care how you got there - you must have done something right. If your kids are causing everyone else grief, try something different. Plenty of people out there who didn't do so well in school, never went to college, have low-income jobs - and are outstanding neighbors and friends. That's the measure I have.
  22. No kidding. There can't be anyone left who worried about that going in that still feels that way, unless they haven't been watching. My Sabres/Habs favorite shift the other night - Kotalik hitting two Habs behind their net within a second or so of each other to control the puck. Part of the fun this year is seeing all the players throughout the league who are just breaking out under the new rules. The talent that got them there is now on full display, instead of the ability of coaches to stifle offense with a scheme. You know, I certainly loved my kids when they were newborns, but when they began sleeping through the night, I fell in love with them all over again. That's how I feel about hockey today.
  23. It's in your signature, what you've chosen to define your online presence in every single post you've ever made from that point on. That's kind of repetitive, isn't it? Just thought that was funny. I'm sorry. Can I have my pocket mirror back? Dang it, did it again. I'm sorry. C'mon, laugh a little.
  24. LOL. So says the man with the "disastard" sig line.
  25. As a highly trained Cryptologic Linguist Technician with over twenty years experience, I've determined the statement in question contains key hidden indicators that are essential to an insider's knowledge of the American economic system. Unfortunately, I have no idea what it means. I input it into one of the Cray computers below the National Security Agency, and it reported back that I picked the wrong week to stop drinking. "Oh stewardess! I speak jive."
