The point of the discussion, to me, is people such as yourself, clamoring for a PS QB, when, in fact, the PS is there for a team to develop players of potential. Teams don't need PS QBs if they don't have one worth stashing away. (and that's the point of this discussion) Reading more closely you haven't clamored for a PS QB so apologies for my confusion. What you're wrong about is the fact that few positions are covered by the PS.

Got a list? Seriously though...if you stash a QB on the PS it's because you feel he has potential, but isn't ready yet, right? If you carry a 3rd (fewer and fewer do) I get that, but, not the PS guy. Why do you suppose those players were selected?

Less touches, more touches doesn't mean much to me. What is important is how he is able to hold up against NFL defenses. Contract doesn't matter. It isn't our money and the team has plenty of room, that doesn't enter the equation. Personality? Maybe. It's tough going from undisputed #1 to sharing the load and perhaps he shared his dislike of such an outcome privately at OBD.

That, if true, is concerning. Sixteen games against full grown men is not something Singletary has ever attempted. The release doesn't make sense to me, but things move forward. Wish him well. Hope history proves Beane made the correct decision.

Well, there are 10 slots. Teams typically carry a couple linemen from each side and a WR or two. That leaves 4 openings, so not many positions.
