  1. If you mean as a HC, no. He is great at what he is currently doing. As a HC he has underwhelmed. Let him do what he does best. Just not #1 material IMO.
  2. The Germans showed progress at Pearl Harbor. Did they win the war?
  3. It starts by bringing in the right people. There will always be mistakes, but, too many "key" performers on the Bills are not "all in."
  4. and one of the biggest screw ups, but, that's probably Rex's fault.
  5. Agree on your two points. What you're calling culture I'd call your work environment, but, not worth quibbling about. You need one of two things to clean up a superfund site like the Bills. It either comes from the top down, or there is enough lateral pressure to force the weak links to shape up. If you have both of those things...
  6. If by culture you mean someone who pays attention to details and makes sure that his subordinates also do the same then yes.
  7. People in any field, if not given adequate supervision will screw off. It isn't related to culture in any way, shape or form. It's people. Here you are placing blame on the players and say that the team needs a culture change. Keep your condescending smilies to yourself and at least own what you said.
  8. You do realize that you're providing a totally meaningless set of stats, don't you? What is important, to this argument, is how did much the same defensive personnel perform under Ryan and Schwartz. How two different sets of players performed means absolutely nothing.
  9. Why would NFL owners shell out millions to field a developmental league? Before you tell me that the league doesn't need to be involved I'll tell you that without NFL involvement any other league is doomed.
  10. No, just continue on course. No reason to change when you field an historically bad defense. wow
  11. Marquee might be the word this person was searching for. To my knowledge there are few noblemen in the NFL.
  12. Yes, players do need to be accountable, but culture or changing the culture have nothing to do with it (unless you can name me one successful organization, not just in sports, that exists "communally.") Given a chance many people in all walks of life are willing to screw off. Rex allowed the inmates to run the asylum.
  13. I wonder how he was able to start this thread. Must have a touch of magic.
  14. To make sure it's the same email go to your "my settings" page, then there is a tab to view the email. Just in case it isn't the same.
  15. I do love ol' Hard Count.
  16. Sounds like you're the one filled with self loathing since you're saying that Buffalo doesn't deserve a winning team/coach.
  17. That's more an indictment of the players than the head coach IMO. I seriously doubt that Rex gave instructions to not take any shots at Landry, the players on the field decided that.
  18. I guess another way to look at this would be to say that every team the Bills needed to win this past week did, with the exception of one.
  19. I heard on a national show that there were also only 10 on the field for the winning FG. Am I late to the party? Can someone confirm?
  20. Very sane response, thanks. Selfish and undisciplined are two words that accurately describe (mainly) the defense. Regarding the butt...I agree with those who said it wasn't a head butt. I think it was a belly butt. Hughes kind of pushed against the guy's belly and he popped back like the pillsbury doughboy.
  21. He isn't worth retaining. This team already has too much money wrapped up in players who do not deliver.
  22. I've been seeing a lot of talk about fireable offenses and final straws around here lately. Just look at the body of work. Rex Ryan cannot manage a football game. He couldn't in New Jersey and he can't here. This is nothing new, he has shown from day 1 that he's all bluster with no backing it up. Introductory PC
