  1. Yup, always enjoyed the show.
  2. That's why I don't care to see Taylor stay on the team. With decent coaching they could "get to the playoffs," but, that would be it. The Raiders fell apart after losing their #'s 1 & 2 QBs. That's a pretty good team that can continue to challenge. Detroit is not that good overall and making it is all they'll be able to do.
  3. I mention Rex in my post. Sitting Taylor was the correct decision for the organization. Lynn should have been involved, but, he should not have had final say IMO. That was a bigger decision than one you leave to an interim coach. Still, that's two things you've mentioned. Go back and look at Snyder's first 3-4 seasons in Washington. He made more news than the team...the Pegulas, whatever warts they have, do not approach Snyder. Anyone thinking this needs to go revisit his his tenure.
  4. There are no "ifs" is Snyder is involved and that was the comparison. It doesn't fit.
  5. Well, pissed maybe. The right decision was made, the mistake, if there was one, was not having Lynn in the room while it was made.
  6. You might apologize to him for forcing EJ on him, you may tell him that you're sorry you made the decision for him...you save remose for life and death situations. Poor choice of words. Also...how is the quote substantiated? Unnamed source?
  7. Remorse? That's a poor choice of words. Who the heck wrote that?
  8. Skurski says this, as a negative, about Goodwin Does he not realize that this is what doomed the franchise over the past 2 seasons? !@#$ fan excitement in a coaching hire. Give me some excitement based on what the coach shows he's able to accomplish.
  9. Aside from the fact that they both have boatloads of money they couldn't be more different. He & Kim made a mistake in hiring Rex, or at least that's what we're led to believe (and i do believe that they took the lead in the hiring). Aside from that what do you point to? Maybe that they retained Whaley, but, I personally, wasn't ready to see him leave.
  10. There's really nothing that would get me excited FOR the season. Once the season gets rolling I could get excited by what happens as the season rolls on. A HC who appears to know what he's doing on and off the field would be something to give hope and a young QB, not a stopgap, who shows that he may have IT would do the same.
  11. Very true. How many drops? Defense couldn't stop the run.
  12. Udder. Udder nonsense.
  13. That's a nice try, but a little too lettery for my liking.
  14. I actually thought that this would be a fun diversionary thread with people chiming in giving the episode a funny name similar to defloatgate...I apparently missed the mark.
  15. Defloatgate?
  16. Does it bother you, in the slightest, that Odell Beckham jr. handled media questions better than Whaley did this week?
  17. Oh yes - because people are talking about it on sports radio which drives most NFL teams' thinking. The COT would like to remind you that teams win and lose games, not individual players.
  18. How many are 30th or worse in passing? The balance wasn't there.
  19. Gotta find one first. St J the D.
  20. Yeah, but...the team is an easy target. I understand that Whaley was being mostly truthful in his press conference, but, his choice of words wasn't the best. You'd think he would have worked with someone, Berchtold maybe, on how to best answer the questions he knew would be asked. I would think that a professional organization would have done their homework. What makes a person believe that Whaley has the right stuff to interview a potential HC? Will he prepare for that, or will he just go off the cuff? It's too late, but, the Pegulas should have gotten rid of Whaley too, in my opinion. Bring in Todd Williams and let him have at it.
  21. See that, we agree! That's all I'm looking at because anything else is conjecture...that's all, you got it.
  22. You disagree that to this point Watkins has not lived up to expectations? Based on production there are not other receivers you would rather have on the Bills? If his career were to end today...yes. It hasn't (I hope) so he isn't. Really not that tough. I typically say what I mean, don't spend time looking for hidden meanings. You won't find them.
  23. One man's facts are another's opinion. I'm perfectly fine with you having your point of view and I haven't felt the need to tell you that your opinions have no value. Why the cantankerousness? We see things differently. I prefer to look at the here and now, you prefer otherwise. It's an ok thing. I'll invite you to show me where.
  24. Please do consider reading what I've actually written, not what you want me to have written. Today the man is not worth the price paid. If you feel differently then god bless.
