  1. To me, that means we should play Dawkins more! Run blocking mofo!!
  2. I agree that this game looks like a good chance at winning. T-Mobile looked good yesterday throw in the middle. I liked the connections to Clay, O'Leary and Matthews. Do that against the Panthers while the defense holds down Cam and we win.
  3. Spell offense and defense correctly and then I'll consider your points on the coaches!!
  4. Yes, totally agree. Clay easily should have caught that pass and the FG had just a weird hook to it. Should have been 17-7 heading into half-time.
  5. HAHA.....and Cleveland gave Pittsburgh problems and Chicago almost took out Atlanta. Point being, EVERY team is hard to beat in the NFL. There are no gimmes. Sure, there are teams that consistently steamroll, but Week 1 of the NFL brings a lot of mystery to team strength. The Bills did a good job of being smart and not taking huge risks. The Jets played a good game and you can't deny that McCown made some impression third down throws. It's a win, we're in 1st place and we're on to Carolina!!
  6. I definitely like this pick back at draft time. I hope he turns into a blue chip steal.
  7. He always looks like that.... Last year (can't remember which game), he had an interception and would likely have scored a touchdown, but was just half-stepping it and was tackled or knocked out of bounds.
  8. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Burned much??? Who you gonna blame on that one!!! Also, nice attempt to tackle the running backs feet! Not!!! Oh, I just love it!!! All those that said we gave up "talent" to NE. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Gilmore is way overrated!
  9. I'm just old enough to remember the OJ years and the excitement of 2,000 yards rushing. I lived through the dark seventies and the 80's bring back excitement with Cribbs, Ground Chuck and squishing the fish (finally!). Playoffs returned. Then the low again of the early 80's, but when the USFL folded and Kelly cam to town, it was party time! That first AFC championship game against the Bengals, I really thought we were going. But, alas, it wasn't meant to be (yet). The Bickering Bills actually solidified the team and the GLORY DAYS of the Superbowl era were upon us. No one knew how long it was going to last. Many, including me, thought that first Superbowl loss was our last appearance in the big show. Nope. Three more and even if we didn't win it, that time was SO damn special. The '99 game against the Titans should have been ours. We had it won and as many have recently pointed out, our defense that year would likely have caused a lot of havoc against the Rams. We might have won that game. I still say if Flutie starts, we win. Many here hated him - I don't care. The guy was a gamer and found a way to win. Rob Johnson had no business on the field that day. The drought years have been frustrating because there have been moments that appeared to bring us back to relevance, but somehow we always faltered. But, at the end of the day, I love the Bills - win or lose. I get a lot of grief over my love of the Bills, but they are my team. I grew up in the Town of Tonawanda and will never shy away from my roots or my Bills.
  10. Yeah, 'cuz first overall pick QBs have worked out all the time. You don't need to pick 1st overall to land a franchise QB. Just pick the right one. Wilson, Dak, Brady, etc.....
  11. WOW! I don't know, but maybe see how this team actually PLAYS in a real game before casting such judgment? The negativity amongst Bills fans is amazing considering they have played one game yet. They have actually done a lot of things that are positive. When have we had two 1sts, 2nds and 3rd rounds picks? What part is braindead? Trading a broken wide receiver that was going to cost way too much to re-sign? Trading a corner that hasn't impressed? Cutting a back-up running back or not overpaying another back-up running back? You have no idea if McDermott is or isn't a "decent coach" yet. Even after this season, you still won't know, win or lose. Look at Superbowl winning head coaches first year: Belichick in Cleveland - 6-10; Johnson in Dallas - 1-15; Noll - 1-13; Walsh - 2-14; Parcells - 3-12-1.
  12. Glad to see someone mention Seau. I agree - I thought he was making noticeable plays while out there. Hopefully PS.
