  1. It's the most noticeable difference so far. The Chiefs have been great on 1st down
  2. It's definitely a little of both. Vandemark is playing well considering the circumstances but he's been worked a few times. But also Josh is hurrying throws when he doesn't have to and not seeing open receivers.
  3. Is that a real stat or hyperbole?
  4. Ugh Bernard played that horribly. Could have had a pick.
  5. They've been horrible against short passes all year. It's their only weakness. Problem is we're missing our pass catching TE and our other threat on the perimeter to draw coverage. Makes it easy on a defense.
  6. I really like the special teams unit mixing up their cadences. Not gonna let the Chiefs time up a blocked punt. Nice detail.
  7. Yeah but that's kind of standard for him and that only happens because he missed the easy first down throw. Then threw a pick immediately after.
  8. Wow that might have been Josh's worst sequence of the year.
  9. DL is getting good pressure. Chiefs are holding and setting picks all over the place and getting the ball out fast. McD and Babich needed to wake the ***** up after the first couple plays to Worthy. They didn't adjust and he walks in for a TD.
  10. I listen to Joe every day and I understand his belief in EPA but all of these advanced analytics take into account bad teams even if the numbers are adjusted for them. If we face the Ravens in the playoffs and they just run the ball every single play they will kill us unless we make significant changes to our game plan. This is my biggest problem with McDermott. He relies on his system no matter the situation and no matter the opponent because it works 80% of the time and that will get you into the playoffs every year. However, when you play against good teams, you have to be willing to throw something new at your opponent or they will just exploit your weaknesses with ease. We see it happen every single year.
  11. Jawaan Taylor was about 5 yards deep before the ball was snapped on Kelce's catch. Shocking non-call.
  12. It's a very small pool of candidates whose success is determined mostly by other people.
  13. Bad time management, and should have gone for two.
  14. And yet, when the tables are turned, they will never call that on KC.
  15. Mahomes' teammates had to help him off the field. They got some pointers from the refs who have been helping the Chiefs' defense off the field for years.
  16. Why do refs hate the Bills? Neither of those were even close to a penalty. They picked up an offensive pass interference flag on the Seahawks earlier that was clearly a pick play. Our defensive linemen get held like crazy every single week and we get zero holding calls. I don't understand it. We've been a good team for 6 years and we get treated like we're still in the drought playing against Brady's Patriots every week.
  17. I heard Belichick recently talking about halftime adjustments and his first comment was, "ideally the adjustments would start well before halftime." McDermott's staff is not capable of that.
  18. We should fire our OC mid season every year. Just make a tradition of it.
  19. Yes, it was awful for both teams. But it was much more awful for one team than the other.
  20. I mean, Kinlaw did grab his helmet with both hands and throw him to the ground. Just because Josh embellished it doesn't make it not an obvious RTP. Not like, say, Epenesa making a routine tackle for a sack while holding his full weight off of Rodgers and still getting flagged
  21. I hope you're being sarcastic. A penalty that doesn't help the Bills' kickoff at all is not the same as one that gives the Jets 15 yards instead of having to punt.
  22. Met Life went dark for some "unknown reason" and the Jets took that opportunity to start a fight on the field. Which of course ended with Dawkins getting a personal foul. Epenesa was holding himself up with one arm to prevent himself from falling too hard on Rodgers and still got flagged. Kinlaw basically threw Josh to the ground by the helmet so that was an obvious one.
  23. And with the referees and the video review officials in NY doing everything possible to give NY the game.
  24. If it's 3rd and 18 then I'd rather have a QB willing to take a shot down field and risk an interception than one who will dump it off for 3 yards to save his stats. And a pass is much more accurate than a kick so it's more likely to be downed with better field position.
