Ok if you say so. Come the end of the season let's see if it was a big game.

After this game, as a fan it's hard not to be disappointed in the way the Bills played.

Several of last years issues seemingly reappeared tonight. The oline can't stop a quality defense, the love for Cook should be tempered. He's nice but not elite and can't shed a tackle. Allen continues to turnover the ball. A constant theme for years now. Gotta ask if this is who he is aka Farve. Coaching wasn't great tonight. Dline gave up some big runs which is another common theme.

Kincaid looked decent but far from what many were implying he's a game changer. Knox was better. Bernard didn't look as bad as I thought.

I don't have much confidence in this coaching staff. Dorsey appears to be unable to put a cohesive game plan or make positive adjustments. He seems to call plays on the fly play by play like backyard football. Maybe I'm wrong here but that's my feeling.

Coach McD is overrated. I just don't think he can get this team over the hump.

With that said, I still thought the Bills were going to win the game once they won the OT toss.

Agree with pretty much everything except the TE. Knox is better at pass blocking and had one glorious catch where he ran over a defender, but Kincaid is clearly the superior route runner and pass catcher. He is as advertised.

Now we just need to find a coordinator who can utilize the best TE combination since Gronk / Hernandez.

Everyone seems to think play action is this amazing play, like defenses have never seen it before and they all get fooled.

I thought the game plan was effective for the most part, until Allen f'd it all up. We win fairly easy if not for 4 really bonehead plays by Allen. He had a few other bad passes that were not intercepted as well. He was pretty bad.

Play action is an amazing play. It's so good, it works even when you don't have a good run game. And Allen is one of the best QBs in the league when rolling out, so why not design it?

I'll tell you why: because our OC is an absolute dip ***** who doesn't know the strengths and weaknesses of his players.

No he makes himself play for 2nd and 12 every drive because he won't wear out defenses by drinking and dunking all around the field they aren't protecting.

But if you want to get real about it, the Jets' whole philosophy on defense is flooding the pass routes while only rushing 4 defensive linemen. There are no areas of the field they aren't protecting. And they're also good at defending the run. That's why you need to scheme up plays that either draw the linemen in too far to defend against short yardage plays or scheme up plays that leverage mismatches. Dorsey did neither.

Sure, based on their entire body of work, Mahomes is better than Allen.  Anyone who believes the contrary is the ultimate homer😂

Depends what you consider "better." Allen is a better overall football player but Mahomes is a better QB. If you switched where the two got drafted, they'd probably have exactly the opposite number of Super Bowl wins. You need talent to win Super Bowls, but you will never win with inept coaching.

I actually was ok with Dorsey most of the game. Against a great defense, we used Cook well, kept some drives going, safe first down plays... but Josh f'd up big time.  You can't win with 4 turnovers and punt return against for TD.  This game is all on Allen. Road game on MNF against a championship quality defense, you have to limit mistakes, Dorsey had a game plan to do that, Josh didn't hold up his end of the bargain.

Respectfully, wtf are you talking about? Every single time Dorsey called up a Cook run on 1st down it went for a loss. How does any QB succeed when they only have 2 downs to get over 10 yards? Especially against one of the league's best pass defenses?

You beat good pass rushes with play action and screens. The Jets' only defensive personnel weakness are the linebackers.

Zero play action. Zero screens. No mismatches in the middle of the field.

Fire Dorsey now. Replace him with literally anybody who can present a coherent game plan.

Actually worse. They play calling was atrocious and had no flow. We started off with two nice passes then two straight runs up the gut into Q Williams. Then go to what felt like 100 straight screen / swing passes into double coverage. Way too many passes to Harty like he is Tyreek Hill. Then ignore Harty and just run Josh draws. Then a decent drive with slants again. Then more delayed handoffs. No idea what the plan was.

Yep it was pretty much a foregone conclusion when they started the second drive with two handoffs to Cook for losses. You call that bull *****, you tell everyone watching that you are scared and incompetent.

As the franchise QB they defer to his wishes too much.  He's the important piece yes but he has to run the plays the oc calls and deviate only when absolutely the called play won't be good against the look Josh sees on defense.  Its like Allen is trying to win mvp for year.  Play smart and cut on the hero ball and he can have more of the perfect games like vs ,NE.  He does that regularly and he'll win everything he wants to.

He played the perfect game against NE with a different coordinator. This new one makes him play from 2nd & 12 every single drive.

Sorry, but Dorsey is not to blame for this game. The Bills should have won by two scores but Allen has his head so far up his own ass. Allen is completely to blame for this loss. It’s on him 100% and it has got to the point, going back the last few games of last season as well, that Allen is starting to become a big problem.

Yeah those 1st & 10 runs for -2 yards were brilliant. Every time. No really, every single time it happened I jumped up and shouted " thank goodness for this OC who really knows what he's doing!"

Agree, but at some point you’d think an adult in the room would make him grow up. I’m not convinced this coaching staff connects with him in the best way.

The first two were just punts. The third was a desperate pass on a called low percentage out route. The fumble was just a result of what happens when you give your QB impossible tasks for 3 hours straight.

Excuses man. All those throws that led to INTs were inexcusable. As was taking his eyes off the ball on the snap fumble.

Yeah the fumble was all on him. Have to see the tape about the INTs. All I know is the Jets have one of the best pass rushes in the league and drop 7 into coverage every snap and there are zero play action plays and minimal 12 personnel plays. It's not rocket science. Dorsey has no idea how to game plan against specific defenses.

This. This Bills team is all Allen the last e years…this game is just proof. They are mediocre without him elite.

For *****'s sake guys. Mahomes looked like ass without Kelce. Burrow looked like ass with his entire offense intact. Allen is the best football player in the NFL. Yes, he makes mistakes. But he has arguably the worst OC in the league.
