Where was the PI on Gardner, he was holding Gabe the whole route
I need a disgruntled official to write a book about how the NFL decides which CBs they let get away with anything while flagging everyone else for the most ticky tack stuff. It's really insane how obvious the favoritism is.

Okay no worries. Josh just has to stay cool and keep being efficient. Could kick field goals on every drive and win this.
-
That throw should have been earlier but it was still perfectly placed and Morris should have caught it.

And now Allen is drawing defenders away from the run. Exactly how it's supposed to work.

Yes nice play call. Get Josh fired up.

Kincaid is so freaking good.
Diggs looks like dog ***** today.

I saw a tentative Allen on the first series. I thought we would be conservative today and stress ball security so i guess it shouldn’t surprise me. he’s not throwing 50/50 balls into coverage
Yup that was a good sack to take if there ever was one.

Used to love Phillips. But now all the arm waving trying to pump up the crowd is just asinine. Guy has no impact all year and then does something stupid to get a personal foul.

They probably will, but not until someone gets injured. Sooner or later, defensive coordinators will get smart and start telling their biggest, meanest dudes to try and time the snap and fly over the offensive line into Hurts. If they're offside, who cares? Same result. And one of these big, mean dudes is going to barrel into Hurts' legs before the snap or clean his clock when he tries to dive over the pile.
When one of the faces of the NFL gets injured doing this play, they'll ban it the following off-season. Until then, it's creating a lot of controversy and the NFL loves controversy more than it loves football.

I watched a lot of NFL this weekend and I saw Jackson, Burrow and Lawrence, all elite franchise QB's, make just as many bad plays in their games as Allen did yesterday. It happens and will continue to happen at times. There is nothing "unacceptable" about it.
Those QBs all lost this week. The difference is that they don't do it every week.
I love Allen but he's been the biggest contributor to our problems for 6 weeks now.
Just now, CincyBillsFan said:Cook was benched for fumbling the ball on the opening play of the game not for the missed hand off. And that benching was unprofessional and contributes to the many reasons why McD should be fired.
He was benched again after the handoff fumble. Just for one drive that time though. A drive that went 3 & out.

My point about Herbert is good teams, like the Bills, should destroy teams even when the QB is having a tough day.
Chase hasn’t been getting open like he usually does, I am thinking that’s because without Higgins he is getting all the attention thus making Burrows hold the ball a bit longer..
That was also my point. Josh was garbage and the running game was cooking but we abandoned the run for most of the game. Doesn't help when you bench your starting RB because your QB dropped the ball at his feet on a handoff.
Defense was more than good enough to win the game as well. They had to defend for 15 more minutes than the Broncos' defense because we kept turning the ball over and going 3 & out. Yet they still held the Broncos to 4.2 yards per play. Baltimore has the best YPP allowed on the season at 4.2

Mahomes shouldn’t have played because he was as sick as a dog.. Burrow is having a tough year which isn’t helped by his top WR being hurt. Umm the Chargers destroyed the Jets but the Jets are a top 3 D and make most QBs look bad. Sadly for them they have. The worst QB not named Jones in the NFL.
Yeah, that's what I said. And Chase has been healthy all year up until last week.
Herbert had a 65.4 Rating against the Jets. The Chargers destroyed them but it was in spite of Herbert's performance not because of it.

I fully billeve that McClapster has meddled in this offense and broken it. Josh looked clocked out last night...
I don't disagree there.

It’s easy as a fan to blame coaches because they’re easy to fire.
It's easy to blame coaches when they abandon the run game against a weak run defense and have 12 men on the field when the opponent misses a game winning field goal. Or when they hurry up at the end of the half to make sure the opponent is able to get their field goal attempt in before the clock runs out.

Burrow looked like this the first month of the season. Mahomes looked like this last week against the same team. Herbert looked like this against the Jets two weeks ago.
It happens. It's still mostly Allen's fault, but we could have run the ball literally every snap on offense and won this game easily.
Dorsey can't game plan or play call worth a damn.

That, and the penalty on Taron that just changed the outcome of the game.
Why bother with 3 hours of playing football if the refs are just going to decide the game anyway?

OK so what was the play after the sack to take them out of field goal range?
HINT: IT PUT THEM IN FIELD GOAL RANGE TO LOSE THE GAME
You mean the one where they forced an off balance desperation throw down field that was 10 yards underthrown?
Also good defense. Can't do anything about referees.
You're coming across a little unhinged. Hope you got some sleep.

so they made a stop....EXCEPT for letting them drive into field goal range?
Their last play was a sack that took Denver out of field goal range. Were you even watching at the end or did you just turn it off and tell yourself it's the defense's fault?

How many times in his career will Allen leave the field a winner and not see the ball again. it’s like charlie brown stuff at this point.
This loss is almost entirely on Josh. He doesn't get the sympathy card tonight.

Did they? Looked to me like they made another stop. Bad PI penalty and bad coaching penalty blew it in the end.

The defense lets us down another game.
Sarcasm?
Fun fact: the Bills' defense held the Broncos to 2 separate 3 & outs that still counted as scoring drives because the Broncos started off in field goal range.

Unfortunately that was the correct PI call.
Nope. Receiver interfered with Johnson's ability to make a play on the ball.

An underthrow should never be PI.
Especially when the receiver prevents the DB from making a play on the ball. Taron was turning around and Jeudy ran into him.

Hey look, pressure up the middle seems more effective than rushing 4 guys around the edges.

The Jets defense is insanely good and they also get away with PI every play. Even when our offense was great we had trouble with them. The last drive was really good. Just keep doing that and worst case we beat them with 8 field goals.
