  1. The Bills have enough passing game weapons as is. Need to hold onto our remaining draft picks and keep the cupboard full of young players we can develop.
  2. To your second, I think they'll find a way to play in front of empty stadiums. The NFL knows it's fan base is very conservative I think they'll come up with some sort of system where players are quarantined, tested every 3 days, etc to try their best to ensure a safe work environment. Not sure it will work, but if any league will prioritize money over health it's definitely the NFL.
  3. Doubtful. He doesn't read his Daily Briefings because he has the attention span of a 4 year old and spends most of his time watching Cable News. He might have been told, but I doubt he knew anything about it because he chooses to ignore intelligence and prefers to just go off his hunches.
  4. We'll never know because he won't release any tax info. Didn't Ivanka and Jared make like $135 mil in 2018? And people are furious about Hunter Biden making like $1 mil.
  5. LMAO But he's saying there's not a disaster!! That's literally why he wants to tell people to go back to work. This doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
  6. If you think the Trump's haven't been lining their pockets over the past 3 years you're living under a rock.
  7. Sorry, where were the States mentioned and where is his authority to tell Governors what they can and can't do? If he thinks he has "total authority" he's completely insane and well on his way to trying to install a dictatorship.
  8. Agreed. The Tea Party Conservatives and the Constitutional Conservatives who support him are complete hypocrites. He goes against every single thing they railed Obama for for 8 years. There is nothing conservative about Trump or his agenda whatsoever.
  9. I cannot understand why Conservatives support Trump, his deficits and his spending problem.
  10. Well, the belief is that without the shutdown it would be a national problem. That's literally why everything is shut down. To avoid it from being exponentially worse.
  11. They should be, but they won't be. The NFL will never miss an opportunity to make the worst possible decision when faced with a PR issue.
  12. I think this is also most likely, however I think it's clearly the wrong decision unless he begins consistently performing as a top 10 passer given that eventually his legs won't be as effective. I think they definitely pick up his option, but unless there's rapid progress this year with him as a passer, I don't think it makes any sense whatsoever to commit $40 mil/year to a guy who is in the bottom half of the league throwing the ball from the pocket. The Bills have one of the most talents rosters in the NFL. If Allen is "the guy", he should easily finish in the top 10-12 in the league for QB rating and yards per game.
  13. Why would it be low? We ran the ball 29 times a game last year. With Allen being in his third year and us having added Stefon Diggs I don't see us matching that number due to more passing attempts. Say it goes down to 27. Allen rushes 6-7 times a game. Singletary should easily get 14 carries a week. That leaves 5-6 carries a week remaining when you factor in we'll probably run a reverse or two most weeks. The math doesn't add up for our backup RB to be getting more than 6, maybe 7 touches a week. That's not something you spend a 2nd day pick on.
  14. 4 yards per carry for his career isn't good, but it isn't terrible either. Again, we need a guy to carry the ball 5-6 times a game. That's not a priority for me until day 3 of the draft. I'd also consider signing someone in the summer after players start getting cut. That's how Houston wound up with Carlos Hyde last year. After the draft when teams add players and start cutting salary, I'd be fine with waiting until that time to add a veteran running back who got cut from elsewhere because they were making too much money.
  15. Possibly. One guy in 20 years doesn't amount to much evidence though that the theory is wrong. It applies to roughly 95% of the other cases.
  16. Trump's lack of understanding of the Constitution is shocking. I can't wait until he tries to tell States that they have to "reopen" their economies and remove social distancing guidelines.
  17. Points and yards per drive.
  18. As I said earlier today, there's not much recent history of guys making big jumps in their calibre of play after their 3rd year starting. You can go back about 20 years looking at 1st round QBs and aside from Aaron Rodgers who sat on the bench, they all more or less peaked by the end of their third season.
  19. McDermott's personnel decisions haven't always been the best. He barely gave Singletary the ball until mid November last year despite him obviously being the best back on the roster.
  20. The jist of this thread for the past 3-4 days which you obviously failed to read is that in time, every single QB loses their ability to rack up yards on the ground. Eventually the hits take a toll, they aren't as quick as they once were and they're no longer as willing to get blown up trying to get first downs with their legs. As some point all QBs need to make almost all of their plays from the pocket or they lose their jobs. That's the history of running QBs in the NFL in a nutshell. So, the question some of us have been debating, is Josh Allen going to be good enough as a passer operating from the pocket to lead an effective offense in 3-4 years once he's no longer running the ball 100 times a season? If he is, he's going to have to improve immensely as a passer.
  21. You don't say?!?! I guess we can close down the message board.
  22. The Bills are built to contend for the Super Bowl this year. That won't happen unless the QB is posting a QB rating in the low to mid 90s. Elite skill position weapons on offense, solid running game, above average offensive line, elite defense. It's all there. This roster, minus the QB, is absolutely elite by NFL standards. If Allen becomes a top 15 QB, the Bills probably win 12-13 games and might be hosting playoff games next January.
  23. I disagree. I don't value the RB position nearly enough to think we desperately need someone a lot better than TJ Yeldon. With the resources we've put towards the passing game, this team shouldn't get derailed by losing Singletary to an injury. If that's the case, it means our pass game is piss poor and we're not going anywhere anyways because the offense is inherently flawed already. A veteran or a late round pick with some juice is fine. Load up on the lines with our 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks.
  24. In all seriousness, if Josh Allen doesn't improve considerably this year I'm drafting a new guy next year. He'll have had: - the same coaching staff for three years - one of the best receiving groups in the NFL - a solid running game - a solid line - an elite defense keeping scores low He needs to improve by leaps and bounds this year because reality is most guys don't get much better after their 3rd year starting. Their are outliers but it's rare. The big jumps are years 2 and 3. Also, I'm not paying $30 mil for bottom 5 QB passing play. But that might just be me.
  25. No need to over complicate things. He needs to improve because we have to decide at the end of this year if we're picking up his 5th year option and the $30+ mil salary that comes with it.
