  1. Trump deserves compassion. Whatever failings anyone has, everyone does. I am he as you are he as you are me And we are all together I hope that you are correct as we all should.
  2. Please be a human being. PPP is bad enough on a normal day. Our humanity is on display from ad TwoBillsDrive-ians, Buffalonians, and people. Can we not do better?. There’s a thread on here when RBG got sick a year ago that is worse than this thread (so far) so there’s no party ownership about who acts abhorrent. It’s on all of us. Nope.
  3. https://twitter.com/MeetThePress/status/1312148332609855488?s=20
  4. That is not a trivial treatment. He’s taking an experimental drug.
  5. None of us have any idea if that's true and if's just had it for a day, that's certainly not true.
  6. You said you hoped he died. This is why TBD created PPP: To allow this kind of unfettered expression. Bravo.
  7. I said that I'd be back at page 20 after some outdoors time in the ADKs. Glad PPP's positive contribution to TBD continues. Well done friends. Stay classy.
  8. You'll have to link me to that though the Germans certainly got through this better than many countries, perhaps because their rules and people limited dispersion possibilities. And what I'm saying is if that article is true, the narrative you, Magox, Shoshin, etc are creating around how this virus works is amusing to the virus. That's not the entirety of the theory. I forgive you though: The friggin' Atlantic article is about 5x longer than necessary.
  9. The time to make jokes is probably once they are on the road to recovery.
  10. It’s not a left right thing. It’s a decency especially on the Internet thing. Twitter is rife with rancor that made the”debate” look civil. Trump accuses Biden of pedophilia publicly. It would be great if a group of Bills fans could be better but nothing at PPP suggests otherwise, on average. If you are decent, maybe the next person will be. We have more influence here than all the crap B-man and DR will enjoy reposting from Twitter as the day progresses. Thankfully I’m in the ADKs this weekend and won’t be checking in much. See you on page 20 of this thread.
  11. This is a place that openly thrives on conspiracy. Do you expect a poster wouldn’t link this to some plot or conspiracy? I’m shocked it took till page 3!
  12. Good luck to them both. Tough timing for him being on campaign but I’m sure he will be ok though he’s in a couple higher risk categories with age and obesity. My 70 year old not obese uncle is just getting over it. No issues. Hopefully same for them. Biden’s test results will be interesting, as will other White House results.
  13. Sorry to interrupt the abortion debate but here’s a good article on spread measurement and why we have so many different outcomes in different places. Bottom line: the narrative you’re trying to fit on the pandemic may just be you seeing angels in the clouds. https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2020/09/k-overlooked-variable-driving-pandemic/616548/
  14. You all do a great job but if this makes it easier, go for it. That's not feedback on this system but confidence in your ability to create such a good community, even if there are things done here that I believe detract from it. Your board, your rules, your good place. Points expiring over time makes sense--anyone can go nuts after a Josh Allen pick 6 for a loss and lose their cool!
  15. But it's not even getting play at Fox, even on TV. There's little faith in the admin's promises on Covid. I was surprised by the way--I wanted to reread some of the numbers mentioned yesterday and think through the logistics of getting those tests to states and states to schools for administration. This is going to be a complicated process if it's actually about to happen. But I only see one mention in my local paper and almost nothing anywhere else, certainly not any level of detail. This is the Coronavirus top headlines on FoxNews.com. Winning journalism there.
  16. No coverage today about the press conference in any of the papers including Fox unless it’s really buried deeply. Might be a boy who cried wolf scenario where the press will believe the 100M tests by the end of October when they see it.
  17. I like the Covid discussions. There are 2-3 people trying to have one. That other thread has become a mess. You're doing a good job messing this one up so that's on you. In other news, the rapid test discussed in the presser is the thing we've been waiting for. 100M tests is a good goal...6.5M this week would be great. Hopefully they will be used in nursing homes and schools.
  18. How much time do you spend hurling insults on a football politics board? Time well spent in a live well lead? Huh?
  19. This thread is not quite as stupid as the other one. The WSJ ran a piece on Friday but when the Daily Beast chimes in on opening schools, maybe the left will start turning the Battleship Closure. https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-way-to-save-our-kids-is-to-reopen-our-schools-and-camps
  20. Miami is well coached and a rising team for sure. Late last season Flores had them playing well without a lot of top talent. They could be only 1-2 years behind the Bills in rebuilding especially if Tua is what we think he is.
  21. And with that, this thread jumped the shark. So long and thanks for all the fish.
  22. What do you think a restriction is if not a shut/lockdown? If you tell me to limit my business capacity to 50%, you are shutting down part of my business. Locking down is in many flavors. Would you say that CA is locked down? I would. But restaurants can do takeout. I would say PA is in lockdown but restaurants can have 50% capacity in some places. Sweden already has rules in places, and also many recommendations (that people are following by and large). If you restrict people's behavior, you're locking them out of things. It ain't rocket science but if you want to dicker on how we use "lockdowns," have at it. Sweden is considering "additional freedom-restrictions."
  23. “Stockholm has seen a clear increase recently, across all age groups,” chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell said on a press conference. “We are discussing with Stockholm whether we need some additional possibility to take measures to reduce transmission.” just Sweden’s chief epidemiologist. It seems wholly unnecessary but their current restrictions seems to have things under control. “Chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell said on a press conference. “We are discussing with Stockholm whether we need some additional possibility to take measures to reduce transmission.”
  24. Funny timing. Sweden considering lockdowns too. Sweden has lots of Covid rules in place and a citizen base that complies with the guidance suggested by their CDC-equivalent. They are hardly "wide open," but they are more open than other places.
