Postgame Thread: Bills at Titans

Josh was not at his best but this one in no way is on him. Another 4-5 drops at least. Pre snap penalties all over. A mess. -

I gotta say the pass pro is spectacular. For real. I’ve never seen a Bills QB with this much time. -

I want the total count of ore snap penalties. 3 or 4 WR/TE false starts. That’s two seasons worth. -
Bell will go to Pats. Book it.

We’re there 3 or 4 WR false starts tonight? I don’t think I have seen that many in 3 years. -

Yup. He was great last year and so far this year. He’s got a great running game compliment too (ahem). -

On China, I do but I also think he’s contributing to a fundamental weakening of America.

Your takeaway from a link and article quote is something about me? Why are you not interested in the ideas and wish to make this personal? I see China as enemy no 1 internationally. On the article, do you think our division is not something China sees as weakness to exploit?

Also saw a decent size tiger shark at the Indians. It showed no interest in us so it was just pretty to see. And What a place to see beautiful fish and nature. Biggest one I ever saw was off the shore in Ocean City NJ. I was just hanging off my surfboard teaching my wife to paddle board out past the breakers. She got up right away and off she went. She then reports a shark sighting and I was like come on. Sure enough a decent size shark of 10 ish feet probably a white checking her out then me too. Definitely not super happy hanging off my board that little stretch of a few minutes, though his dorsal was in view the whole time so I knew where he was. Seen plenty of nurse sharks snorkeling in the Caribbean.

Trump now saying he has a plan coming that will be better has to be the most hollow of so many of his empty promises. 4 years and on election eve, he’s now promising a health care plan? He’s like a kid handing in his homework late amd trying to get credit. The Reps spend without taxing. That’s worse IMO. At least the Dems pretend to raise the taxes to cover the bills.

https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/10/12/china-trump-accelerating-american-decline/ Shortly thereafter, the Chinese Communist Party’s familiar euphemisms for U.S. power all began to point toward a belief that the Trump era was not merely contributing to American relative decline but accelerating it. “Multipolarity” was now frequently deemed irreversible at the very highest levels. The “international balance of forces” was said to be “increasingly balanced.” But most importantly, and only one week before Trump’s inauguration in early 2017, China debuted a new phrase to guide its strategy—one that inverted a Qing dynasty-era statement of humiliation into a Xi Jinping-era statement of ascent: The world was experiencing “great changes unseen in a century.”

Well known to Biden and his family. A good counterbalance to his age, sex, and race--and politics. Shows you can disagree and still work together.

I'm old enough to remember when the Republicans controlled both houses of Congress and the Executive and could have used, I dunno, the legislative process to fix the healthcare issue and not manipulate the courts to legislate on their behalf. Just a thought.

Social Media-kids, suicides and The Social Dilemma
shoshin replied to shoshin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You're spewing a lot of personal opinion couched as fact. Nowhere on a teen suicide medical website do I see, “Kids are committing suicide because their parents tell them they are loved.” In fact things more likely to arise are sexual abuse, physical abuse, divorce, death of someone close, abuse by peers all leading to loneliness and depression and sometimes tragically suicide. Your agenda may cloud your compassion. -

He says he’s lost interest. A few posts above. There isn’t a lot to discuss at the moment. It’s leveled out. Little rise happening. -

You all seem to have a curious understanding of cause vs correlation. -

Most of the suicides I know about in teens stem from loneliness and bullying. -
I believe you are incorrect but hope that you are right. The historical precedent for 11 or 13 Justices is that 9 was based on the then-number of Circuit Courts of appeal. We are at 11 plus 2 these days.
-
Oh Jesus Christ. Come on.
-
This is the cover they are taking for their hypocrisy on the Garland nomination statements. You don't really think that if the Kavanaugh mess hadn't happened, they would be fine delaying BArrett do you?
-
Congress can change the number of justices. Not a constitutional issue. The tradition of 9 Justices aligns with the number of Circuit Courts of Appeal in the late 1800s. Today there are 11 Circuit Courts of Appeal plus DC and the Federal Circuit. I don't want any change in the number of Justices but there's ample historical justification for 11 at least and 13 at most. Let's hope that the parties playing procedural politics with Justices like doesn't lead to this.
