Favorite homemade sandwich?
Poleshifter replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm glad you have heard of (or at least are not grossed out by) the PB & bacon idea. The lettuce adds the moisture needed by the dry peanut butter. -
Favorite homemade sandwich?
Poleshifter replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Amen, brother! And if there is dressing left over, put that on the sandwich, too! I was going to say peanut butter and bacon with lettuce. This may make people go "ewwww" but it is great. -
If your jersey is for a new player, consider that the jersey number could change once the 53 is set. Not a problem if you want a 78 or a 12, of course.

Final result of the Marcel Dareus trade for Buffalo:

I really like Bass' strong leg. He could be very good - long way to go to make it in the big leagues, I know... -
Can our #2 WR consistently beat one on one coverage
Poleshifter replied to Old Coot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey, it's the off-season (and a weird one at that), so how to you have a problem discussing our new WR situation? Ignore the friggin' post if you don't like the topic. Crikeys! -
Jersey Numbers for the new guys

Watching Roscoe Parrish #11 in that 2007 MNF game was painful. What a weak individual - well, he was quite small, and not powerful at all. -
What AJ Espensa peers say about facing him...
Poleshifter replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@Alphadawg7 Thank you for breaking this out of the huge AJ thread. This is some great stuff! I love hearing from the OL who faced him. Cool that Runyan Jr is so analytical about it. Great thread! -
Opinions on a hypothetical trade

No. Simply no. What is this obsession with AJ Green? Get over it, eh? -

Gilliam, the TE/FB from Toledo, had very few catches in his career, but 6 blocked kicks or punts. Listed at 6'1, 255, he sounds intriguing indeed. -
Devin Singletary workouts w/ Kevin Smith

That's pretty funny. I noticed Zack Moss enjoys climbing mountains - not likely to be a hobby he picked up in Florida, eh? -

When I worked on the F-15 (twin engine) at McDonnell-Douglas, the folks used to refer to the F-16 (single engine) as "lawn darts". Put them to the test, they said: "go up to 40,000 feet and turn off one engine!" Hence the lawn dart reference.

At least we're not the Falcons
Poleshifter replied to Do The Reich Thing's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ATL??? WTF? Can the Bills put 716 on their jerseys? -
Since there are few people flying these days, it might be a good time to try out this "sleep mask". I wonder why these things have not caught on.

I know zero people in those categories.

Carruci: Bills not pursuing Cam Newton
Poleshifter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bingo! Cam seems like a poor choice to teach a young QB how to play the game. I remember how reckless Cam was in those first few years, throwing his body into the fray. -
The official retirement count down
Poleshifter replied to LewPort71's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Hang in there, 57, no 56 days is not so bad. I expected I would have to work until I was 70, but managed to retire at 66. My beautiful wife is smart with money. Best wishes for your retirement when it gets here. -

Also, Knox played QB in high school, so Ole Miss likely had low expectations for his receiving abilities. I am excited for what this kid can be. Drops can be overcome with training - lots of repetitions. We saw his Rambo persona on a few catches. Against Cinci (I think), he trucked 2 DBs. Didn't Knox win the GMFB Angry Runs award this year for that run? Besides, we apparently snatched him just before Belichek wanted him. I thought I heard Knox would be training with Josh in the off-season (before virus changed things). EDIT: Knox played WR and QB in HS. He joined Ole Miss as a walk-on full back in 2015.

I started watching planes landing in strong crosswinds, which led to the Jet Blast Challenge in St Maarten, where tourists line up at the chain link fence behind where jetliners rev up to take off! Plenty of crazy stuff on youtube - Russian dashcams, BattleBots, and many many more!
