  1. That's about as bold an assumption as those who assume Terry said what he said. As I mentioned to Motorin, that could certainly be the case, but it would sink the lawsuit and be a brutal move by Trotter's lawyer. The NFL has had countless instances of saying one thing and doing another. Then why is this quip included in the lawsuit? It's strong enough without it.
  2. David Gottlieb, Trotter's lawyer, not Trotter, is the one "protecting" the so-called source. You seem to be leaving out the possibility that the reporter in question lied or exaggerated the statements during the 2020 zoom call where Trotter heard the allegations, but told the truth during the investigation. This is certainly possible. The lawsuit would be dead in the water if this was specifically the case. The follow-up example of Trotter not being interviewed regarding the direct first-hand remarks he heard from Jerry Jones, however, gives credence to the inclusion of the anecdote on Pegula. Trotter's case against the NFL is strong even without the Pegula quip.
  3. Based on the logic of the Buffalo News article regarding the investigation --- https://buffalonews.com/news/local/lawsuit-accuses-bills-co-owner-terry-pegula-of-making-racist-remarks-he-denies-claim/article_dcada732-5187-11ee-a9d7-b7bd6245731d.html A league source told The Buffalo News that the alleged comment was thoroughly investigated, including interviews with Terry and his wife and co-owner, Kim Pegula – who both denied the statement – and every other person at the dinner where this conversation purportedly took place. The investigation took place shortly after the comment was brought to the league’s attention, and no one else from the dinner recalled the statement being made, according to this source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The dinner took place in 2018 and no one complained about the purported racist remark until the 2020 NFL Media video call, the source said. The reporter – not Trotter – who brought it up on the call claims to have directly heard the “Africa” remark, David Gottlieb, one of Trotter’s attorneys, told The News. --- #3 cannot be true if #1 and/or #2 are true. 1. Every person at the dinner denied the statement was made 2. No one else from the dinner recalled the statement being made 3. The reporter claims to have directly heard the "Africa" remark
  4. haha right she even couched her comment in the most PC way possible - outside of not saying anything
  5. Per the Buffalo News report everyone at the dinner was interviewed. However, this is illogical as the reporter who overheard the comments was at the dinner. Therefore, the reporter who made the claims was not interviewed. It's not in the lawsuit because it's Trotter's case, not said reporters. It has bearing on the case (the case against the NFL - not against Terry, which does not exist) because it is a second set of evidence beyond Trotter's first-hand conversation with Jerry Jones which was Trotter claims was also not investigated properly. In that scenario, the first-hand witness to the comments (Trotter) was not interviewed. It does not state his statements as fact.
  6. The accusation isn't Terry said these words and you are misinterpreting the lawsuit. The accusation is the NFL failed to properly investigate the scenario, which is backed up by the evidence that neither Trotter who reported the conduct to the NFL nor the reporter who claimed to have heard this first-hand from Terry at the dinner were interviewed in the subsequent NFL investigation. Although I will admit, the way this has been misreported and misrepresented from the start from the media has ruined any chance for a rational discussion on the actual lawsuit.
  7. This is a bit silly. What tragic results have afflicted Terry Pegula due to this situation?
  8. If you listen the recording, he obviously says more - specifically in the 24 - 28 second mark of the video... although the only words I can make out are "Stef" and "get your ass." It's gargled and difficult to hear but it is more than "Go get Diggs." Glab is trying to save face and not trying to throw anyone else under the bus. IMO
  9. Who was the male reporter joking around with Glab and why has he not gotten a shred of what Glab has? Was he not “unprofessional” as well?
  10. Regardless of what Diggs says her comments are taken out of context. He should understand this - he's a smart guy. This is a nothing story and Diggs should have ignored it. Him talking about it just increases the drama. IMO
  11. It was allegedly said at a dinner. The NFL interviewed everyone at said dinner and they all deny it was said (per Buffalo News). The NFL failed to interview, though, the reporter who heard Terry say this at the dinner. The NFL did not do their due diligence in investigating the accusation. This is precisely Trotter's accusation. He is not accusing Pegula of saying these things - he is accusing the NFL of covering up an investigation (which they clearly did if the reporter who claimed to hear the account was not interviewed).
  12. Pegula already came out and said these disgusting comments are 100% not his and he never said anything like that You read that on the internet didn't you?
  13. This is accurate. One point I am trying to understand related to the bolded... If what the Buffalo News says is true, that everyone at the dinner with Pegula was interviewed and they all cleared him, Trotter's case against the NFL is stronger as the colleague who was at the dinner was not interviewed.
  14. If what the Buffalo News claims is also true, that everyone at the dinner where Terry said this was interviewed and cleared him of the comments, Trotter's complaint that the NFL didn't investigate the allegations in a satisfactory manner is accurate if the person who heard the comments at the dinner (the unnamed reporter) was not interviewed. This does not mean Terry said what he is accused of. It does, however, point to the NFL continuing to protect it's own in an effort to avoid all potential controversy.
  15. So the alleged statement was at a dinner per the Buffalo News report.... "A league source told The Buffalo News that the alleged comment was thoroughly investigated, including interviews with Terry and his wife and co-owner, Kim Pegula – who both denied the statement – and every other person at the dinner where this conversation purportedly took place." However, from the complaint... “During the meeting, an NFL Media reporter described a conversation he had with Buffalo Bills owner Terry Pegula in which Mr. Pegula was speaking about the recent emphasis on social activism by NFL players, and in particular support for Black Lives Matter.” So, if we are to believe the Buffalo News report, the NFL Media reporter was at the dinner? If that's the case, logically this reporter must have also denied the statement if we are to believe the Buffalo News article, which doesn't make sense if said reporter described the conversation "during the meeting." Make it make sense.
  16. I don't know either way. I certainly don't believe Terry is the saint some think he is. The amount of criticism he is receiving and the lack of criticism Jerry Jones is receiving is odd.
  17. Do Bills fans 100% in Terry's corner feel the same way about Trotter's comments toward Jerry Jones? They're all bull####? The guy is a well-respected reporter. Not sure what his incentive is to lie.
  18. Beyond inexcusable. This would have been a stupid thing to say in 1990. Between this and the fracking I think I've lost any and all respect for the man.
  19. Murray is going to be the lead back within a couple of weeks.
  20. His peak is a guy like James White. Useful player, but not an every-down back.
