  1. NFL Matchup (Jaws/Hoge) is one of the coolest shows on TV right now.
  2. Still waiting to see a comprehensive list of 2007 free agents released, but basically the common theme of the preliminary lists like the one you linked is that there won't be any good free agent DTs available. Sigh. It's such a CRAPSHOOT to draft DTs (not to mention their gestation period is longer) but looks like we'll have to do it.
  3. They've been missing Merriman and Castillo recently. Not this week. They also haven't been playing against Duke Preston and a 7th round RT recently.
  4. I know the line is improved on the left side but I'm still very skeptical of the right side. I pretty much expect Castillo, Jamal Williams, and Phillips to cave in the right side of the line this week. Hopefully JP can make some more throws rolling left and Willis finds room on the left side like they did last week.
  5. Besides Merriman, Luis Castillo might be back from injury. Then add in Jamal Williams. That's a nasty a front 7.
  6. Aaron Schobel is going against a rookie LT. It'd be nice if he could pull one of his rack-up-3-sacks-against-some-inexperienced-dude games.
  7. Actually London Fletcher is probably the best Buster Davis comparison. Undersized, instinctive MLB type. Merriman is very different.
  8. I'm almost more worried about Shaun Phillips than Shawne Merriman. Merriman is going against Peters most of the time. Phillips will be rushing against our 7th round rookie.
  9. Peters vs Merriman is going to be fun to watch. As for LT, we're not going to stop that guy. I keep reading about making Rivers win the game by jumping out to a lead. What, are we going to get up 35-0 on the Chargers? In the cold, in the wind, in the (possible) snow, Schottenheimer will ride LT even if McGee takes the opening kickoff for a TD. We will see lots of LT and we aren't stopping him unless we put 13 in the box. We'll have to win despite him getting his.
  10. Pretty sure Branch will be top 10 if he declares. I don't think Bills will be in range for him.
  11. Peters vs Merriman is probably the most anticipated player matchup all season. At least for a Bills fan.
  12. Let's just say I believe his thoroughness in proofreading accurately reflects how much he cares about what anyone thinks of his hobby, which is to say not much. At any rate, not going to spend too much time defending some random dude on the internet, so think what you will.
  13. Weather will be a factor for sure. Bodies that aren't used to a blustery and low-30's environment will take more time adjusting to it, period, especially if it's the first time all season you've faced it. Will it win the game for the Bills? No. Players have to make plays, but it'll be a factor.
  14. I hear ya. Most talk should still be on the season but a little draft talk here and there isn't a big deal.
  15. I don't think he cares if someone values his draft predictions. Like fantasy football, draft projections are pointless but some people have fun doing it.
  16. Eh, some people are interested in college/draft talk.
  17. Right now there's only a 30% chance of precipitation but temperatures should be in the low 30's.
  18. BTW, the line already shifted. Started out at -5. It'll be -6.5 soon and possibly -7 by kickoff.
  19. You really think the books are getting equal action on that line? I think the books are getting pounded with SD bets.
  20. They should re-sign Clements, Gandy, and Kelsay. I love London Fletcher but the price needs to be right to re-sign someone who is going to be 32 next season. Just the cold hard reality of aging.
  21. Special teams domination. A lucky turnover or three. This is a team that should physically own us if they're healthy. I'm not sure how healthy their defense is right now, though.
  22. That's a great point. I don't want to just "get by" on the lines. I want to dominate. I mean, what exactly is the upside for this 7th round draft pick? If it's to be a so-so starter, that's still a great story because it exceeds the expectations for most 7th rounders, but I would want his butt replaced pronto. Investing on the lines pays for itself. We won't have to re-sign McGahee at an expensive price but instead draft a cheaper replacement. We'll keep Losman clean and healthy so he can continue his development. If the Bills end up going into next season with Fowler-Preston-Pennington as the right side of the line, I will want to shoot someone. Knowing our Bills, I best get the gun ready. We're going to go cheap because we are cheap a$$holes. Fuk us. Gawd, I'm already getting pi$$ed at all this talk about o-line not being a problem anymore. Bunch of hogwash ****. Fuk fuk fuk fuk.
  23. Two games. They need to at least hold their own against Merriman and the Chargers before we can begin to say o-line WAS a need.
