Agreed. We'll be over a year ahead of schedule if we can sneak in and get our guys a taste of the playoff atmosphere and intensity. Year 2 should be when you take your lumps in a playoff game, not Year 1. Plus, I'd be willing to bet that a game with New England would be close.

No. If the Jets beat Miami, we want them to go ahead and finish 10-6 and not be lumped in together with the 9-7 tiebreaker teams. Because if the Jets beat Miami, they will automatically eliminate the Bills in any scenario where we have the same record.

That's exactly correct I think. I would still root for NE this week because I'm not sure Balt would consider the fight for the #3 seed (instead of being #4) to be important. And there is no guarantee that even if they had the #3 seed locked up that they would be resting people.

Agreed. I've been going back and forth on this game all day but I've finally determined that I can't trust Miami to beat the Jets, even at home on X-mas day. Not when all the motivation is on the Jets side. Great job once again.
