  1. 2 wins. As you can imagine, I am thrilled. Let it be known that I was much more optimistic than most people during the bye, though. I thought we would win 3-5 more games. But to have a shot at winning 7 more is crazy.
  2. Is that true? Marv was that specific? A link would be nice. Either the transition tag or the non-exclusive franchise tag could still mean Clements is in another uniform. Especially in the case of the transition tag where a poison pill would pretty much end it; think balloon payment for playing home games in Western NY. The key is whether the non-excl franchise tag is still open for use, which is why I asked for a link. Otherwise, your speculation is just as wild as anyone else's. But if the non-excl tag is still available, then teams would have to fork over 2 first rounders, which would be nice.
  3. I took the games and arranged them in order of importance below. Importance is of course subjective past the first two games. BILLS beat Titans (Importance = 10) DOLPHINS beat Jets (Importance = 9) Chiefs beat RAIDERS (Importance = 6) Bengals beat BRONCOS (Importance = 4) / BRONCOS beat Bengals (Importance = 2) Patriots beat JAGUARS (Importance = 4) / JAGUARS beat Patriots (Importance = 2) Colts beat TEXANS (Importance = 3) STEELERS beat Ravens (Importance = 3) Chargers beat SEAHAWKS (Importance = 3) 49ERS beat Cardinals (Importance = 2) Buccaneers beat BROWNS (Importance = 1) GIANTS beat Saints (Importance = 1) FALCONS beat Panthers (Importance = 1)
  4. One More Out I Forgot To Mention If the Broncos beat the Bengals, then we would need the 49ers to beat the Broncos Week 17 in Mile High instead of the Steelers beating the Bengals. But both Chiefs games are of utmost importance if the Jets beat Miami.
  5. How Not To Be A Miami Fan This Week If you don't want to be a Dolphins fan this week, then you better root for ALL of the following to occur. Because if any ONE of them doesn't, and the Jets beat Miami, the Bills will miss the playoffs. Week 16 Chiefs beat Raiders Bengals beat Broncos Week 17 Chiefs beat Jaguars Steelers beat Bengals
  6. Found some other threads from our enemies discussing playoff scenarios http://forums.cincybengals.com/showthread.php?t=17552 http://forums.denverbroncos.com/showthread.php?t=80155 http://mb.jaguars.com/Topic152065-6-1.aspx http://mb.jaguars.com/Topic151582-6-1.aspx http://www.jetsinsider.net/forums/showthread.php?t=132736 (GOOD JOB BUT NOT ENTIRELY ACCURATE... JETS BEATING MIAMI DOES NOT NECESSARILY ELIMINATE BUFFALO) http://forums.titansonline.com/forums/show...?t=22102&page=3 http://www.chiefscoalition.com/Forums/inde...showtopic=60078 (MY FAVORITE...THAT'S A LOT TO ROOT FOR) http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=154727 (SAME)
  7. Agreed. We'll be over a year ahead of schedule if we can sneak in and get our guys a taste of the playoff atmosphere and intensity. Year 2 should be when you take your lumps in a playoff game, not Year 1. Plus, I'd be willing to bet that a game with New England would be close.
  8. No. If the Jets beat Miami, we want them to go ahead and finish 10-6 and not be lumped in together with the 9-7 tiebreaker teams. Because if the Jets beat Miami, they will automatically eliminate the Bills in any scenario where we have the same record.
  9. NFL.com lists clinching possibilities for some teams. Bills aren't included yet because we can't clinch anything this week since we would need to beat the Ravens next week. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/9817776
  10. That's exactly correct I think. I would still root for NE this week because I'm not sure Balt would consider the fight for the #3 seed (instead of being #4) to be important. And there is no guarantee that even if they had the #3 seed locked up that they would be resting people.
  11. Agreed. I've been going back and forth on this game all day but I've finally determined that I can't trust Miami to beat the Jets, even at home on X-mas day. Not when all the motivation is on the Jets side. Great job once again.
  12. I updated the original post based on the Colts beating the Bengals. Thank you Peyton Manning.
  13. This lack of running game by the Colts is pretty disconcerting, though.
  14. It feels like Freeney is definitely going to make a few more big plays before the day is done.
  15. It'd be nice if Freeney could explode for 3 sacks tonight. Law of averages, right?
  16. Thanks, guys. I definitely forgot to add KC losing as well.
  17. Thanks, ezbills. You've done an awesome job with these tiebreakers. I'll add those games to the list soon.
  18. Even if the Bengals lose to the Colts tonight, we can still get knocked out before Week 17 if the Broncos beat the Bengals next week and the Jets beat Miami.
