  1. You couldn't be more wrong. He played the 2-pt vs XP thing just right by waiting until he really needed to go for 2 (as it turns out, he didn't need to and those sure-thing XPs he took instead gave them a crucial 3-pt lead instead of a 1-pt or 2-pt lead at the end of the game). And this Saints team has nowhere near the talent of the Steelers last year. Gregg Williams - LOL.
  2. Dielman will be right there with him. We'll see.
  3. If we don't give Nate the $20 million bonus, I hope we at least make a run at Kris Dielman for a $12 to $15 million bonus. Realistically, he's out of our price range as well, though.
  4. Probably the most excruciating regular season loss that any team experienced this season was the Browns losing to the Ravens in Cleveland.
  5. Yeah. The fact that the Tampa-2 is a very simple scheme. And that the Bills wouldn't be asking him to be a d-coordinator. We already have Fewell and we already have a defensive head coach in Jauron. We just need Willis to be a MLB if we drafted him.
  6. That's possibly correct but I find it doubtful. Willis is a special LB and I think he'll call the plays as a rookie.
  7. I'm just telling you that when these folks are posting about drafting Patrick Willis, they're assuming that F-B is gone.
  8. I went a lazy 2-2 last week ATS, 3-2 if you count Florida Bal -4: while I'm rooting for Indy, this is the game where people are going to look back and think, damn, how did we ever think the Colts actually had a chance to win? Phi +5.5: Eagles and Saints are pretty evenly matched so I'll take the points. Chi -9: the Seahawks suck. They really, really suck. SD -4.5: Rodney Harrison would've helped a lot. I think SD has some underrated receivers that will exploit the Pats secondary.
  9. The rules apply equally to both teams, don't it?
  10. That's a 16 million dollar bonus and 6 mill/yr for a TE that will be 31 next year. Nate's numbers should be $20 million dollar bonus and 7 mill/yr
  11. With CBs, it's hard to tell much with stats. Nate was a true lockdown corner this year. Bailey has been for the past two years. They've both improved a lot since their rookie seasons.
  12. IF that were possible, then I agree with you. But one of the reasons why Nate is great right now is because he already went through his seasoning as an NFL CB and is now entering his prime. Even Champ Bailey had "pretty good" seasons until recently when he became dominant. There's almost no way a corner in this draft can duplicate what Nate can give us over the next four to five years. There is no Pacman Jones talent in this draft, and if there were, we would not be in a position to draft him.
  13. Yikes. That Geathers contract is scary. The Bills might not sign ANY free agent better than Kelsay this offseason.
  14. Second best. But looks like he's going the Flutie route due to lack of arm strength (CFL first). Even if I'm wrong about that, I'm the same guy who said Whitner and Simpson would be good players but we'd be disappointed with McCargo and Youboty. How's that turning out?
  15. Okoye was a monster in the Orange Bowl. Granted, none of Wake's interior linemen should become NFL players, but still.
  16. Pyrite -- the assumption is that Fletcher is gone. So the question really isn't who is going to be better next year, Willis or Fletcher, but rather who is going to be better next year, Willis or another replacement.
  17. In one of my mock drafts from last year, I had the Bills picking Whitner. I also had them trading down before picking Whitner, but that's another story altogether. :-)
  18. He's not going to be the guy. If it's going to be a WR, it'd be someone with size.
  19. I love Patrick Willis. I do wish he had just a slightly more clean bill of health in college but I'd be fine with him as the pick as long as the Bills take care of DT in free agency.
  20. Okoye seems to be the hot pick and I do like him, but if the Bills sign Ian Scott or a Terdell Sands, then there's no need to take a DT in the first round, at least from the perspective of filling as many holes as possible with limited resources.
  21. Yes, you must've seen him when he was wreaking havoc on Tennessee. He was a monster. I'd prefer the Bills just re-sign Kelsay as well since Anderson is probably a first round prospect anyway.
  22. Add Jonny Harline from BYU. Not many people know about him yet but he'll get drafted, imo, and be one of the better TEs from this draft.
  23. I like Scott Chandler, too. Good call. None of these guys we're discussing are 2nd round values though. Well, Miller might be but I'd still rather use the pick on an o-lineman.
