  1. Work in progress, schmork in schmogress. If you're not thinking about making the playoffs next year, you're not setting high enough standards and goals. Letting Nate leave would be a huge hit, so the Bills had better spend some money to make up for that loss.
  2. It shows you how crappy the CB field is this year, at least in terms of great prospects. We should not draft a CB at #12. If we don't re-sign Kelsay, I'd like to see Jamaal Anderson or Gaines Adams drop to 12 and us scoop him up.
  3. Wrong, it's almost ALL about being able to afford the player or being willing to spend the money. Check the number of teams that are way under the salary cap. Lots of teams will be able to sign Clements without doing any sort of long-term damage to their cap room. I don't expect the Bills to sign Clements because we are cheap / small-market. But they sure as hell better sign someone, or the fanbase will be very upset.
  4. In our scheme, neither. We need a big, strong boy to play the 1-tech manned by Anderson/Williams last year. In terms of what's preventing the Bills from being a good run-stopping team, the 1-tech guy is most important.
  5. The Colts pounded the ball down Chicago's throat. Build the frakking offensive line!!!!!
  6. Great minds, bro. However, we do have to balance that comparison against the rule that the better defense/ST should win. I'm just not convinced that the Bears D, without Harris and Brown, are better right now.
  7. Colts will win. The Colts getting past New England is similar to when the Red Sox finally overcame the Yankees in 2004 and then had to go play St Louis in the World Series. There was no way they were going to lose -- after overcoming your arch nemesis, everything is downhill. I no longer think it'll be a blowout but Indy will win even if it's close.
  8. Ugh, I hope the Bills burnt that strategy. That strategy netted us Reyes, Tripplett, Royal, Peerless, Davis, and Nall YUCK
  9. No he wasn't. He seeked equal opportunity for all aspects of life, not just so called "important" things.
  10. I didn't even realize there were accounts of McGahee's sexual escapades available. I would love to see them. Obligatory I hope he hits the hole harder in bed than on the field...
  11. Considering that news came out just yesterday, I don't see how you can blame anyone for wanting Lynch to replace Willis since the opinion was based purely on football. Besides, the girl could be lying.
  12. Based on Youboty's inactivity this season during games, I think you're wrong. As for Leon Hall, as I've said before, he's probably too slow to warrant a top 15 pick. There isn't a CB worth taking that high this year. No Pacman Jones available.
  13. I seriously wouldn't worry about Okoye being available at 12. He's a fine player but he isn't some sort of freak human being that everyone is going to be jumping all over to take in the top 10. Compare his body to Alan Branch's for example, and I'm not saying that Branch will be the better player, but for draft projecting purposes, the monster/freak is usually going to be way more coveted than the normal-sized player. Okoye will very likely be there at 12.
  14. If the Bills re-sign Kelsay as expected, they probably won't draft Carriker. The guy to watch out for is Eric Weddle who is a CB/S that wants to plays CB in the NFL. Right now I don't think there is a single white CB in the NFL, but there's a pretty good chance Buffalo will make him the first since Sehorn.
  15. Re-doing deals benefits the player. They get more guaranteed money up front. The Bills could've redone deals to avoid salary cap hell, but we don't have Dan Snyder as owner who can give out up front bonuses.
  16. If the Bills had retained the right to franchise tag Nate (non-exclusively), the media would've reported it by now. At the very least, Marv would've gone public and stated so by now. IMO, speculation that Nate is anything other than an unrestricted free agent is whistling past the graveyard.
  17. Yep, transition tag is meaningless. And franchise tag is unavailable due to promise. Nate = gone.
  18. I don't think any corner will end up going top 15. Don't worry, Bill. When we somehow lucked out and got the #12 overall pick, the chances of a corner getting picked diminished greatly.
  19. Dude, we're not going to become promise breakers. It's not enough to be a playoff team... you want to not lose your soul in the process. Marv made a dumb promise. Now we will live with it and move on.
  20. This will be a huge blowout. The Colts remind me of the Red Sox in 2004 after they made a huge comeback to defeat the Yankees. There was no way that team would followup by losing to St Louis, and there is now no way the Colts will lose to the Bears after that comeback against the Patriots. Colts, 37-17
