  1. "through 2 games" is the key what, you think they should have set the line the 60s or something?
  2. Defensive line has to win its battle against the Patriots o-line Win that battle and it becomes interesting Lose that battle and it's a blowout All other matchups pale in importance
  3. Are you serious? You don't think the coaches will be drilling into Searcy this week to bat the ball down the next time he defends a Hail Mary? It was the wrong decision but a good outcome, this time.
  4. Our secondary being so bad is one of the worst indictments of the Dick Jauron / Marv Levy era. You would think the best unit on the team would be the DBs given the resources they spent on it. Instead our secondary might be the weak spot
  5. We don't need to beat the Patriots to make the playoffs. I certainly want to beat them one day but if it's not Sunday, won't be the end of the world.
  6. Let's make a bet. I say Luck will be the first QB chosen. If Landry or any other QB gets chosen before him, you win.
  7. He's looked mediocre but I'm confident he's a capable backup QB. In the one season where he got extended playing time as a starter, he threw for 18 TDs, 12 INTs, and his team scored 21 points a game when he became the permanent starter. That batch of regular season games (where Thigpen was also coached by Gailey) carries more weight than a few preseason drives. If Fitz went down, we can win games with Thigpen.
  8. Yeah most 29 year old guys are all about grooming their replacement. LOL. Some of you guys need to get real.
  9. I want to see him play about 6 games first and show improvement from last season. Being a QB, he's going to get a large contract so before we commit that kind of money, let him play a few games and show that he's not a 1-yr-wonder and that he's going to continue to improve throughout the length of that contract. I would hate to give a big contract to the next Derek Anderson or Scott Mitchell. It's not an ideal situation. I wish he had another year under his contract so we could evaluate him for a full season. But I'd still rather see play about 6 games under the pressure of a contract year than to extend him without seeing him perform at all this year.
  10. Moats will never be as good on the inside as he is on the outside. The Bills will figure that out or another team will.
  11. 3 points didn't exactly make me forget about Lee Evans. A #2 WR needs to step up
  12. Not only do we save millions of dollars over the next couple of years by getting rid of Evans, we also reduce Stevie Johnson's production with this move so that we can save even MORE MILLIONs when we re-sign him. Love this move! Money, money, money, money, MONEY!!!!!!!!! MONEY!!!!
  13. ATDHE was only shut down at it's .net domain it still operates at .tv all of the sites that were available last year will be available this year. just at slightly different addresses
  14. We need to stop being so defensive about Spiller. It's possible for Buddy to have flubbed the Spiller pick AND still be a good GM. It was his first pick ever as GM. You don't think Mozart had some performance anxiety the first time he performed a symphony? Not that Nix is the Mozart of drafting or that Spiller can't turn it around, but you get my point. If Spiller is a bust, and I'd say it's a strong possibility at this point, accept it and move on. Stuff happens.
  15. No he didn't play like a #1. He dropped too many balls. It's not like he's going to duplicate those numbers on a consistent basis with his poor hands. I expect his numbers to regress. Put it this way. The goal is to win the Super Bowl, right? We're not winning a Super Bowl with Johnson as the #1 wideout. He's a #2, and if we had access to the minds of all 32 NFL GMs, I bet most of them consider Stevie to be a #2 as well. We can and should strive to do better at the WR position.
  16. He's been a receiver all his life. You think he's going to all of a sudden learn how to catch this year? He's a #2 WR, a damn effective one. Don't expect him to make a leap to a #1 WR.
  17. can he even spell "quest"? the possibility exists he's just too dumb to play in the league. not saying that's definitely the case but i would try to keep expectations low for this guy.
  18. you don't put your best player on special teams. needless injury risk
  19. lol, I don't know anyone who would trade Jasper for Troup. Or Aaron Williams for that matter. Our 2nd round curse continues but the Jasper pick is exciting
  20. also, Dareus had been outstanding for two seasons, fairley only one
  21. Good luck trying to trade for the most highly regarded prospect since Manning. 0-16 is the way to get Luck
  22. No way Pittsburgh wins the AFC without getting that bye and home game against the Jets, imo. Stevie's drop gave them the conference title
