  1. It's a must-win. Skins may have started out 3-1 but by the end of the season, we'll probably look at them as the easiest team on our schedule. Beck struggled. Strong arm but pre-determines throws and has a tough time arcing it.
  2. Agreed. They're getting better. Will be dangerous both matchups.
  3. Yep, I wouldn't rule that out. I mean, if the team is picking #1 overall again two years after you were drafted #1 overall, maybe you aren't a franchise QB.
  4. only 6.8 yards per attempt though. i'm very skeptical of palmer. i think this trade is drew bledsoe part II, but we'll see
  5. Sigh. It's just like the Bills to finally have a competent coach and QB the one year they needed complete incompetence the most. Luck to Miami and another decade of pain to ensue.
  6. I'd have rather seen Grossman. Prefer to face known suckitude rather than an unknown factor who might surprise. I mean, Beck probably sucks but who knows, maybe this will be Washington's Fitz-replacing-Edwards moment.
  7. The Bills are more or less playing the same schedule. It just looks daunting for us and easy for them because we're us and they're them.
  8. Just like the best QBs have a sixth sense for where passrushers are without looking directly at him, so do the best corners have a sixth sense for when to hold.
  9. If it were that easy, we'd all be NFL playcallers. I think there are fewer than 10 coaches in the league who could coax as much production from the Bills offense and from Fitz as Gailey does. Leaving Gailey would be a huge risk for Fitz, imo.
  10. And if I played like a franchise QB, I'd be worth two first rounders, too. Those are huge ifs though.
  11. Split the difference. $8.5 to $9 million is reasonable for an above average starting QB. I will say this, though. Fitz needs the Bills more than we need him. I don't think this little career renaissance of his occurs without Chan Gailey. And stop underthrowing the sideline route.
  12. Part of being a great corner is knowing how to hold when the ref isn't looking
  13. They would receive much more of a bounty than Oakland's two first rounders
  14. Luck has a great arm. There will always be naysayers. Some folks thought he'd be the next Locker and take a drastic fall in draft position. Haven't heard a peep from them lately.
  15. lol at the Raiders this is the worst trade in nfl history.
  16. If true, I think Andrew Luck is playing a factor. It makes no sense for Denver to try to win games right now. Trading away talent is the best course of action.
  17. Good to hear Fitz being accountable. If he had an account on here, even HE would have to flame those who said he had a good game.
  18. Next two games are virtually must-wins for the playoffs. Blowing the Cincy and NYG games didn't sink the season. It just meant we don't have a margin for error. If we don't beat the Skins with the bye and if we don't beat the Jets at home, making the playoffs will be tough. We need to be 6-2 at the midway point of the season because that second half of the season is brutal. 3 game road trip, revenge game at Foxborough, a game @ SD, and a two-teams-desperately-fighting-for-the-wild-card matchup with the Titans. We need a cushion going into that.
  19. Yeah, to steal a quote from someone here, the league's scoring rate from the first few weeks of the season was unsustainable. Defenses were bound to close the gap a bit as the season progressed. Here's my take on the old theory about "defenses are ahead of the offenses at the beginning of the season." I believe the theory was pretty much true but should've been amended to "the unit that the NFL rules favor is ahead of the unit that the NFL rules don't favor." For much of its history, NFL rules favored defenses. Somewhere in the past decade, that flipped. So, now given less prep time (early in the season, lockout, etc) offenses hold the major advantage.
  20. Harbaugh basically embarrassed Schwartz by beating the Lions with a team 1/10th as talented. The handshake was just an excuse. Schartz felt small and then acted small.
  21. It'd basically be a 10-game rental so I can't see giving up more than a 4th. And usually, I wouldn't even bid but I really want this team to make the playoffs, and injuries have wrecked WR depth and variety.
  22. 8-8 would be a disaster at this point. As someone above said, 4-7 to finish the season? Eff that. We've gone 11 straight seasons without the playoffs. This team better make it.
  23. Wow, we're going to sweep that three game road trip? Hope you're right. At this point in time, I'm still just hoping for 10 wins.
