  1. The Chargers and Jaguars beat reporters are all counting their money from yet another fruitful week placing bets related to their teams. Being beat reporters, they always know what's going to happen. Some of the richest people on earth are NFL beat reporters. They just dress like slobs so we don't panhandle them.
  2. Nah, PTR's post was idiotic. A reporter's job is to accurately report team news, NOT accurately predict how good or bad the team is. JW could have predicted 16-0 or 0-16 and I wouldn't have thought any more or less of him as long as he gave us accurate, timely news about the team and accurate, timely quotes from the coaches and players. Do you really think, for example, that the Rams beat reporters knew in preseason of 1999 that the Rams would be Super Bowl contenders? That backup Kurt Warner was an MVP candidate? That if the beat reporters somehow didn't know these things, they were being lazy and not doing their jobs? Honestly, only a complete idiot like PTR could conclude that.
  3. i wonder if a Packers fan would laugh or vomit reading this comparison
  4. i mentioned the salary cap well, there ARE 24 NFL teams that don't play in a West division. somehow those other 23 teams have managed.
  5. Man, JW being the dick today is really overshadowing how dick-ish PTR was in that original post. PTR thanks you, JW
  6. Yeah, and those are all baseball teams. In our sport, with revenue sharing and a salary cap, it's inexcusable to go that long.
  7. If only we can hear those stories over your deafening "You ain't so great" jealousy. Quit hating. Give credit where due.
  8. That was my first thought too. He wrote this two years ago and finally got a chance to bust it out today. Good for him.
  9. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine/_/factor/powerranking/results/311205030~1~311204019~1~311211015~1~311211029~1~311211030~1~311211033~2~311218011~1~311218014~1~311218022~2~311218021~1~311224002~1~311226018~2~311224029~1~320101015~1~320101017~2~320101019~1~320101030~2 Go Bills!
  10. Blah. The Bills will stick with their $60 Million Dollar Man and build around his noodle arm A year from now all Bills fans will be wondering "How the hell are we three years into a rebuild and haven't selected a QB high yet? WTF"
  11. at least they've made the playoffs 9 out of the past 12 years. we're about to go 0 for 12
  12. He's not eligibile for the draft until 2013 since he's a true sophomore
  13. If you look at his entire career, his record is actually 17-29-1. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/F/FitzRy00.htm Cut Fitz
  14. I remember watching that interview online and wanting to punch Modrak in his fat, smug failure face.
  15. That's understating it. I'd be thrilled. At least we would have a shot even though the Colts would own the tiebreaker for #1 overall.
  16. No playoffs, no Luck. Of course it's disappointing. Still time to create some positive memories though. We can start by releasing Ryan Fitzpatrick.
  17. I want him to stay the starting QB and get pounded and put up horrible passing stats so the Bills can justify cutting him in the offseason. I'm happy for Fitz. He's a good guy who got the most out of his marginal talent and just got paid $10 million. But it's time for the Bills to move on. We owe him no more than that $10 million.
  18. If Gronk and Troup did blocking drills against each other, I'm not sure Gronk wouldn't plow over Troup. That's what sad. We're so stupid.
  19. What is your source for this? Mine are at the bottom of this article: http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Paying-the-Bill.html
  20. Some of those guarantees are only guaranteed if he's on the roster. The $10 mill signing bonus is already his. But the rest of the $24 mill is up in the air. $9 mil of it for sure would not be paid if he's cut. It's the $5 mill option bonus this March that I'm not sure about. If he's cut, I'm not sure we have to pay him that. So at most it's eating $15 mill.
  21. We should cut Fitz. Team would only have to eat his $10 million signing bonus. That's not terrible.
