  1. He's bad but he's not as bad as he showed yesterday. Fitz needs to dump all the "new mechanics" advice and go back to throwing the way he's always thrown. Simplify the game; don't be thinking out there. Do what's natural for you. 30-yr-old QBs do not successfully change their throwing motion. Nor can golfers and baseball players successfully change their swing at that age nor can basketball players change their stroke at that age. You are what you are at a certain point.
  2. I'm worried that Wannstedt has never coordinated during the NFL's current video-game passing era, and I wonder if he can adjust.
  3. Eh, this tinkering with Fitz's mechanics is as likely to succeed as a 30-yr-old pro golfer tinkering with his swing, or a 30-yr-old basketball player tinkering with his stroke, or a 30-yr-old baseball player tinkering his swing, etc. If Fitz improves, great. But I'm not expecting it at his age and experience. You always revert back to what you've been doing for 20+ years.
  4. Only the punter is extra special here. I've seen kickers have 5 for 5 days (or whatever) kicking FGs. I've seen RBs carry 20 times for 49.8 yards in a game I've seen WRs catch every pass that wasn't intercepted or out of their range. But I've never seen a punter put every kick on the 1-inch line.
  5. He might just be really clever. From a publicity standpoint, scoring a 4 was great. I don't know who scored the highest or in the middle or anything else. I know Claibore scored a 4.
  6. I've always thought that Revis' struggles against Stevie proved that Stevie is not a #1 receiver. Since Revis shuts down #1 WRs.
  7. I would definitely choose Spiller, for the obvious reasons. Let's hope the Bills don't have to choose between them though.
  8. Pretty much. This thing hit that point months ago.
  9. We need to take a chance on him in Round 3 or later. Yeah, he could suck because of his physical tools. So what? Every draft pick is a risk, especially once you get past the first round. Nobody in the draft thinks the game better.
  10. Just wanted this on the record. Nix (and many other GMs) will regret passing on Kellen Moore in the draft.
  11. The bet was made January of last year, waaay before the draft took place. It's easy to say he had no chance to win the bet now, with the benefit of hindsight. But back then, there were a lot of people convinced Miller was going to completely bust like Maybin. If Miller had a rookie season like Maybin (0 sacks), I would've owed Thoner money and I would've paid. Plus, who cares? Even if it was the most lopsided bet in the world, a bet's a bet and there are no takebacks. Do you think Vegas is refunding Indy-wins-the-Super-Bowl bets placed last April?
  12. You know, it's not like I gave him cancer or something. If you look back on this thread, I didn't even make fun of him or anything like that. All I did was ask him to pays his debt, which he can certainly still do. Once he pays me, I will update the board and everyone can give him props for being an honorable guy.
  13. No, I did it right (counted games, not total sacks -- Miller actually had 12.5 sacks overall). 10 games with at least one sack, 1 game with a half sack, and 7 games with no sacks. Quite possible. Let's just hope Thoner has more honor than that.
  14. Here was our bet. I'll quote you: Here are Miller's stats I count 10 games in which he got sacks = $100 for me I count 7 games with no sacks = $7 for you There was 1 game that he got half a sack which I'll call a draw. $100 - $7 = $93. You can pay up now or continue this bet next season to see if you can get some of your money back. I'll leave the choice up to you.
  15. Shitzpatrick fans are rooting for the Ravens and 49ers this weekend. Knowing that, I have to root for the Giants and Patriots.
  16. You know how a couple of years ago Spain was king of the world? They won the World Cup, they won EuroCups in basketball and soccer, and Nadal was dominating tennis. Well, right now we're in the middle of another sports renaissance. A Filipino one. First, Pacquiao and now Tebow. Their soccer team will probably win this year's World Cup.
  17. before Tebow got the reins, did anyone consider Denver's D to be good? Yes, Mr. Demaryius "I can't crack 600 yards receiving" Thomas is the key
  18. Stop embarrassing yourself. You were wrong. Deal with it. FYI, your answer to the thread question:
  19. lol, that's just completely wrong on several counts. Unless Landry Jones play like a 25-game schedule next year, he's not sniffing the record
  20. lol, you're a dumbass Please explain the wins against Georgia in Atlanta, VaTech in DC, and Oregon at Oregon during his career.
  21. lol. you do realize he has the most wins in college football history, right? yes he's short and yes, losing 1 game (because of his kicker) has somehow cost him the conference tiebreaker the past couple of seasons, but it's stupid to doubt the kid is a winner.
  22. I'd certainly take Kellen Moore on this team. He'd be a great backup if nothing else but I actually suspect he's a better QB than Fitz. I like Tannehill too. He's a developmental prospect who probably will suck but his upside is worth it. Great tools. The Bills will draft neither. They love their 60 million dollar man and will build around him instead. LA Bills.
  23. Let's make some bets on how well Luck will do in the NFL. It'll be a long-term bet but I'm patient enough to wait. Some of you have such idiotic opinions about Luck and you should have to pay. You should have to pay me. Let's come up with some terms for the bet.
  24. He's a good coach but I'd rather him be there than someone like Jim Harbaugh. A destination location like Miami is always a threat to attract a great coach or great player so when the franchise settles for good, it's a win for Buffalo.
