  1. The more effed up he is, the more I'd be willing to trade for him. Hopefully this alcoholism stuff isn't an excuse for lack of football talent. But I don't believe it is. I think he has the talent and his troubles have been holding him back. Right now I'd definitely trade a 4th-rounder for him. If we find out he's a heroin addict as well, bump that to 3rd-rounder. Some necrophilia, 2nd-rounder.
  2. Also, factor in that the Patriots are almost always playing AFC playoff games at home. It really is difficult to win a ring. Just wish the Seahawks had run the ball on the goalline.
  3. Bill Barnwell is good (and so is Robert Mays). Grantland itself? Eh. I could do without 90% of its writers.
  4. they were soooooo far off from being right, too. so blinded by their hate
  5. I mean, the guy is young, has a big arm, and has a TD-INT ratio of 29-15 for his career What is worth a 5th-rounder flyer if this guy isn't?
  6. He would beat out EJ. Would definitely do the 5th-rounder for him.
  7. haha, i think we all knew it was going to be that link when we saw the thread title man, whether you agree with the analysis or not, that dude has probably collected tons of new subscribers to his gambling site
  8. lol. Why haven't we heard anyone in the NFL defending the Patriots then? Let me guess: all the other teams are liars. Everyone is corrupt except for New England.
  9. Why do it if it doesn't help? Why do NFL players and coaches say it's an advantage?
  10. You're pathetic. What are the odds that the Colts game was the very first time New England tried this?
  11. Brady probably bribed the locker room attendant like Brad Johnson did
  12. I would still take Manziel and hope that he could correct his desire for preparation, showing up on time, and not partying. I wouldn't be extremely hopeful, of course, but I'd take the chance. I view him as a good "buy low" candidate. Or put another way, if the question is would I rather take a chance on one of the second-tier 2015 QBs or Manziel, I'd take Manziel. EJ or Manziel, I'd take Manziel.
  13. He didn't seem prepared at all though. I would've had him reading a prepared statement, repeatedly refer back to the statement during open questioning, and limit the open questioning to about 10 minutes instead of the half hour. It would've looked bad, but the way it played out instead was a disaster with him appearing to be a huge liar and giving such contradictory answers throughout.
  14. The ISIS comparison was perhaps revealing. With ISIS, you have unequivocal immorality taking place. Did Brady basically let slip that something immoral also occurred with the Patriots, and he's only arguing about the scale of the immorality? If Brady had an un-guilty conscience and legitimately did not know how the balls were deflated (i.e. it's all a mystery to him), wouldn't the appropriate "in the news" comparison be the mysterious Malaysian Air plane disappearance? Comparing it to ISIS instead is kind of like admitting guilt.
  15. I suspect, because the draft is so bereft of decent QB prospects, that Grayson will be a 2nd-rounder. I'd be conflicted about picking him. Ideally, you'd like to use the 2nd-rounder on best available OL, I think. But it's also important to get another young prospect at QB in here.
  16. Bring in the best veteran we can get (who might be underwhelming) and hope we can cajole average QB play out of him to make a playoff push. EJ can compete with the vet for the starting role. Draft a young QB to compete with EJ for the young QB backup role if the veteran defeats EJ early in camp (very possible). If the young QB also defeats EJ, then EJ is done here. And we have a new young QB to be hopeful about. Every QB on the roster should always be competing with somebody.
  17. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000462326/article/buzzworthy-buzzkill-players-from-day-3-at-the-senior-bowl?campaign=Twitter_nfl_cfb Garrett Grayson, QB, Colorado StateGrayson was up and down at this week's practices, which is generally the case for quarterbacks, but he had scouts buzzing in the stands with some of his throws Thursday afternoon. Grayson threw a couple of poor interceptions -- to TCU's Kevin White and Norfolk State's Lynden Trail -- but made up for it with impressive touch on deep throws and with fade routes in the end zone. Grayson is a polarizing prospect in scouting circles but had a solid day.
  18. It's almost clever but ultimately pointless time-wasting of a small business owner. Other conservatives online have already mentioned this, but someone needs to get a gay couple to ask a Muslim baker to make a wedding cake. Get some lib-on-lib crime going.
  19. Essentially statistical proof that the Pats are cheaters: http://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/blog/?p=2932
