Monkey off our backs - check, so now we can focus on proper team construction. 1. So the Bills drafted a high ceiling QB who needs a year to develop. I like him and think he has what it takes. 2. They also drafted a fast but thin LB who needs to put on some bulk and learn to drive through his tackles, who as he ages is going to get better. 3. They also preserved next years one, which I think clearly shows they know that rationally this is a 5-7 win team and it will be a nice pick. They also have a ton of cash next year. 4. I think next year starts the ascension, when these many young players get better, the FA market becomes viable to quickly improve the team and coach further takes this team his way. I think we have a plan for once, not just reacting like Doug did and I am OK with this. I am more encouraged by this team than I have in a long time, smart guys are in charge.

The Lamar Jackson Sandbag
foreboding replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watson was and is a proven WINNER. Anyone who doubted that got sucked into some crud. He proved it in college and now in the pros. Everyone looks dumb for passing on that guy. -
Hey Rober! I just got started at this new (to us) forum. re: Allen. Really...I tend to agree with you, there are examples to the contrary, but I think that most had high completion percentages in college before they got to the much more challenging next level. He may have a high ceiling based on physical skills alone, but I agree that ain't worth no second pick IMO. Isn't he like 6'4? And last I checked he can chuck the ball pretty well.
-
Agreed. The guy clearly has a high ceiling, there is no way to know if he will get more accurate as a pro, where despite others protestations here, efficiency does matter.
-
hahahaha. This whole discussion is about completion percentage... It is the basis for his accuracy concerns. Now you clearly do not ascribe to the possibility that there is a correlation between the number of passes you complete out of 100 attempts. So I guess this is all about eyeballs and opinion.

Wilson 2016 - 64.7% Rating 95.4 2017 - 61.3% Rating: 92.6 Favre 62% Career Brady, is he accurate you think? 63.9% career Skill competition, lol. Yep that is how we should judge superbowl winning QB's
-
Wilson is VERY accurate and so was Favre. Elway was a winner and played in an era when you could get the ball downfield more consistently. Not to mention you just listed three QB's with legendary will to win attitudes. Hard to measure that for a draft.

Dumbest thing I read so far today.

His draft board? Sorry I did not see it. I would like this move. I think he is alot like Ben Rothlesberger who was asked to be a game manager his first couple of years.

After the Jets move how would you guys feel now...if Josh Allen was our pick at 12? http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-Today-Brooks-latest-mock-following-Bills-and-Jets-trades/96743326-f3c7-4197-97b7-917d9a79680d

I’m all for Mason Rudolph with the 12th pick...
foreboding replied to Seanbillsfan2206's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rudolph has all the skills to be a top flight QB, in my opinion, especially if he can sit for a year. This video fairly assesses some of his strengths and weaknesses. IMO getting him with our second first round pick would be fine. 6'5"HEIGHT 32 3/8"ARM LENGTH 235LBS.WEIGHT 9 1/8"HANDS He is well spoken, good attitude and seems intelligent. Highlights. -
I agree. People keep saying Giants, seems they might take this chance to set themselves up for the next 10 years as well. Colts need players.

Could Hughes be next? $10.4 mil cap
foreboding replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I doubt it, unless the plan is to sign Kirk Cousins or save cap to rollover to next year for some big FA signings. You do need D-Line players and we aren't going to be able to field an all rookie team. -

Well said brother! -
Lets just go for Kirk Cousins in the offseason
foreboding replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jay Gruden is an abrasive dude. Read this and tell me Cousins is not worth the cash risk at the position that matters most... Excerpt: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000902111/article/wholl-make-kirk-cousins-the-highestpaid-player-ever -
Why do people think Keenum will be available? I cannot imagine he is not the Vikes new QB going forward...

Rapaport: Expects Whaley to interview for GM job in GB
foreboding replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He seems like a great Director of Personnel, the guy finds talent. ' However...I do not think he has the leadership or the persona for a GM role. He seems like he is always acting and not at all comfortable. In front of a mic he is painful to watch. -
The REAL importance of being in this year's playoffs
foreboding replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
School on Bortles, is if he gets down in the game, he gets stupid with the ball. So, no doubt an early lead will put him into the hands of our play-making secondary and lessen the Fournette machine. Lets hope we start hot again. -
We woulda beat them either way. No way they were gonna lose that one. New vibe. New team. New Season.

How about all the Bills fans in the Miami concourse watching the game and going nuts? That felt awesome. I was like "those are my peeps" making that noise!

My first post, since the restart. I am so happy and happy for all of you. Later that night (after the games). I will admit I watched the players and fans reactions and had a few tears rip as the weight of the years of futility, loyalty and finally a release the Bills got all the breaks one time. It was like the sun finally shone through the darkest of clouds that we had begun to think would never clear. 17 years. That is insane and it is finally over. And to all of us, who stayed the course. I say BRAVO. GO BILLS!!!
