  1. You're not alone; I thought of the same thing when someone posted "I hope his family can find peace." Hey, see you in Hell!
  2. I think I thought they looked cool at first glance, but soon noticed that they were usually worn by douchebags. And so I also made fun of them.
  3. He also sometimes went under the alias Trentative Checkwards.
  4. She made some good picks, but I think her selection of Keith Goganious in the 3rd round of the '92 draft was the straw that broke the camel's back.
  5. If the old Bills signed Rex Ryan to become a national brand, what would be the exact opposite of that? That's right; signing Colin Kaepernick.
  6. I heard the kid asked the waiter for a beer, then turned back to find Rex & Rob scarfing down his burger & fries. I'd be mad, too.
  7. That's one way to spin it. Rob grabbing the dude by the throat while cocking his fist was a textbook conflict resolution strategy.
  8. Here it is in a nutshell: ESPN is a national brand now with Rex.
  9. I was thinking the same thing, but I think Chris Kelsay would be the easy answer to that one. Honorable mention to Josh Reed & Roscoe Parrish.
  10. Carl Mauck. I always imagined he lived in a van down by the river. This one was pretty good.
  11. Which former 1st rounder might we hope to get for, say, Preston Brown?
  12. Happy birthday to Lorax. Do we have the slowest LB corp in the league, or what?
  13. We traded two first round picks + one fourth round pick for one first round pick, which we used to draft Sammy. That's what you're saying, right?
  14. This is always fun to see. We didn't waste a draft pick on Aaron Maybin because we used our own.
  15. We have our first GM from outside the walls of OBD since 2005. We have a new scouting staff, comprised of some guys who are more qualified than our last few GMs. Our new HC isn't some guy we previously mocked as the former HC of a division rival, who we now have to pretend is good. We still have all of next year's draft picks. There's a lot that's different.
  16. I got exactly what I wanted this offseason. I'll never forget the child on Christmas Eve-type giddiness I felt when it was reported that Pegula had asked Whaley & the scouts to come in for a meeting the next morning. And then Santa delivered! I don't know if we'll make the playoffs this season, and somehow, I'm ok with that. For the first time in 10+ years, I'm actually excited about the future of this franchise.
  17. Say what you want about the Buffalo media, but they did give Whaley a free pass on claiming responsibility for the draft day trade with the Chiefs. That was uncharacteristically nice of them.
  18. Technically 6, but I'm liking my odds next year. #7 would place me squarely in Harley Race territory.
  19. But what if OBJ had Derek Carr throwing to him? Since we already know our 2015 1st isn't going to get us a good player, we should trade it + our 2014 2nd (we already know Kouandjio will run around a field pantless & be cut in 2017) to move back up for Carr . Problem solved.
  20. It does seem like something that would be worth mentioning, right? Oh, Joe B...
  21. Joe B: 7 observations from Bills OTAs (5/25/17): http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-7-observations-from-buffalo-bills-otas-week-2-52517 I found this one interesting: 4) Dawkins hanging at only left tackle for now - The last two times we've seen the Bills at practice, rookie Dion Dawkins has lined up at left tackle in place of the still rehabbing Cordy Glenn. With Glenn still unable to take part in team drills Thursday, that trend continued once again... but to this point in time, we haven't seen him take a single rep at right tackle -- which was the position he was drafted to compete for. Head coach Sean McDermott didn't give much of an indication as to when, or if, Dawkins would be sliding over to the right side for some work, only saying that he likes that the rookie has the versatility to play both sides. In the meantime, Jordan Mills continued to take all of the first-team reps at right tackle with Dawkins on the left side. While Dawkins is losing out on some reps on that side, he is going against Jerry Hughes every single practice for multiple plays, and Hughes is one of the best practice players I've seen since starting to cover the team in 2009. Dawkins is learning pretty quickly about the speed of the game, which will help when he makes the likely eventual move over to the right side for the competition -- once Glenn is healthy. Not sure how I feel about this. Don't think Dawkins has ever played RT, so I'd think the more practice he gets at that position, the better. But, I'd have to assume our coaches know more about this stuff than I do.
  22. Don't make me bump my Jonathan Williams could be a beast thread. The top of the video screen read "Eagles RB Cedric O'Neal - 'just let my game come to me'." When I clicked the play button, it played for a second before displaying the message "Your video will play after this break." But it never played again. Pretty hilarious, if you think about it.
  23. Interesting. How did you come upon this inside scoop?
  24. Me too. I'm not gonna lie; I hated nearly all of Whaley's moves in real-time. Even for the decent ones, I'd manage to find whatever's the opposite of a silver lining. Shady McCoy? Big deal, he answered the phone. Brown & Alexander? If he thought they were anything more than bench fodder, why'd he sign them to 1 year deals & declare his rookies to be off the bus starters? Man, it was exhausting.
