  1. Way to go for the backle, Humber. Donte would be proud.
  2. We didn't get to see him look around for someone to blame because he was 40 yards behind the play.
  3. Without a doubt, and he'd be out there for the coin toss this Sunday.
  4. Interesting to note that the Bills and Jets, both of whom have been accused of tanking, are also both dealing with the terrible fallout of having hired Rex Ryan to be their HC.
  5. The Jets have officially been put on notice: you're not going to waltz right into that #1 pick.
  6. Long tabbed for starting duties, McCown was held out all summer before some reason playing the first two series tonight. Teams almost never play their starting quarterback in the preseason finale. It was an extremely baffling decision, especially in the context of 38-year-old McCown's injury history. He was promptly injured on the second series before limping back in to finish the drive. It drove home the absurdity of the Jets' decision. The Jets are running their team like a club that wants to go 0-16. Of course, that actually is the goal, but Gang Green is being particularly flagrant about it. The Jets have the potential to be the worst offense of the modern era in 2017. http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/361755/jets-try-to-get-mccown-hurt-nearly-succeed?ls=roto:NFL:topheadlines
  7. Was never a fan of the trade we made to draft Ragland. Hearing he was a perfect fit for Rex's antiquated D was enough for me. I wish we would've gotten more for him, but I guess we couldn't.
  8. He's the Hefty Lefty. Manziel is just Hangover Harry.
  9. It's been 7 hours and 908 days Since you took Alonso away I go out every night and sleep all day Since you took Alonso away Was also a big fan of Sam Cowart, but not to the extent that I sang songs about him.
  10. Peter King: I think this hole the Bills have dug for themselves just seems to get deeper every day. The team last played a playoff game eight days into this century. Seventeen years into this century, the drought is far from over. The Bills, who sent Marcell Dareus home before the preseason game at Baltimore over a disciplinary issue, now need to have a serious discussion about his future in Buffalo. “Obviously, a guy with his contract status, you would hope that he would be a better leader than that,” GM Brandon Beane said. Since being drafted in 2011, Dareus has been arrested twice, suspended by the league for substance issues, and now gets sent home for team disciplinary reasons. Since signing a six-year, $96 million extension in 2015, Dareus has had a four-game suspension and now this, and the Bills have to choose between paying Dareus $9.75 million in salary this year … or face the onerous task, if they choose to cut him, of splitting a $38.35 million hit for dead money over 2017 and ’18. It’s all onerous, frankly. The contract was an idiotic one to agree to in the first place, based on Dareus’s off-field history. And now the franchise has another anchor on it. Say you were 10 years old and just getting into pro football when the Bills last made the playoffs. Now you’ve gone through middle school, high school and maybe four years of college, and gotten married, and maybe just started a family. And your team’s been miserable every season. How much more are you ready to take? Not sure of that … but it ain’t over.
  11. These are all examples of how bad we were. Everyone was too busy defending Whaley's every move to even consider the fact that he had no idea what he was doing.
  12. Soon?!? I almost fell down laughing. Whaley got so much praise from Bills fans in general because they were so used to losing, they started to defend their right to have a losing team. Reporters would write things like "The Bills' fans deserve better than this front office." The fans would fire back with "No we don't; you leave Doug Whaley alone!" Good times. The fact that you have to be in the minority to believe in McDermott & Beane tells me we're finally on the right track.
  13. Yet another Whaley blunder stricken from the records.
  14. Fitzpatrick & Stevie J had flaws that complemented each other perfectly: Stevie ran crazy routes, and Fitz was more likely to throw the ball to the wrong spot than the right one. A truly great tandem, rivaling the likes of Montana & Rice.
  15. This sucks. I was hoping we'd have 7 picks in the first 3 rounds, but I guess now we'll only have 6.
  16. It's just as well. Boldin wants to focus on his advocacy work, stemming from his brother being shot to death by a cop. We don't need a guy like that here.
  17. Dorsett stinks; I wouldn't give up anything for him. There is/will be someone on the waiver wire who's better than him.
  18. You and I are on the same channel. I was happy just to get the last guys out & hire some people from the outside. Getting guys who might actually know what they're doing was a huge bonus. I've been bashing the Bills nonstop for a decade+. The fact that I'm no longer doing so should serve as scientific proof that we're finally on the right track.
  19. Makes sense. Sammy's thinking he's going to break the bank, but Beane & McDermott are like "Not with us, you're not." Good for them. It'll be interesting to see how it plays out in LA, now that another GM is banking on Sammy Watkins to elevate his 1st round QB to franchise QB. Also, a team taking our #1 & #2 WRs to be their #1 & #2 WRs? That's gotta be a first.
