  1. Yeah I bet he will be named Leonard Hankerson.
  2. Yeah with the way the draft shook out we would benefit more from a true coverage guy, that's hard to find this late though.
  3. Rawls came off the street and sent Marshawn full speed into retirement. It happens. Fresh legs playing against guys that have been battling for a few months never hurts either.
  4. Yeah if a running back with that vision comes with hands he can do some things! Rawls had highest YPC amongst backs with any serious numbers of carries. I think he was over 5.5.
  5. From that clip he runs similar too Rawls, he is a few inches taller and a few pounds heavier. Can he catch?
  6. He did. He had a wrist injury but he did a pro day at Duke after the combine. His times weren't anything spectacular but nothing I thought that would drop him. My only guess is teams see him as a tweener and they aren't putting any value into a developmental LB/S. He is good around the LOS and his form tackling is impressive.
  7. That about sums it up, they got a guy with a high ceiling who fits what Roman wants to do and it was at a good value. There was some discussion of Cardale going much higher due to sheer potential but the Bill stayed put and let the board come to them. If they had drafted a QB in an earlier round it would have jeopardized the support that Taylor has amongst his peers. Now Cardale and sit and develop and there is no immediate risk of a QB controversy. EJ's money is guaranteed and that gives us a year to keep Cardale stashed on the bench.
  8. Jeremy Cash is still on the board? Hope we take him and groom him as an in the box S/LB.
  9. Love it. Highest ceiling of any QB in the draft and it won't create any divide in the locker room as Cardale needs some time. Daunte Caulpepper on his way to BLO.
  10. Yeah another penetrating DT in Washington just allows for more multiple fronts which is what Rex loves to do. We will embarrass some teams that aren't able to exploit our backers, I remain worried about our LB's and safeties in coverage. Certainly do have a handful of teams that won't be able to take advantage of that though. Ravens, Rams, Jetsx2, Phinsx2, 9ers, Browns. Could be an easy 8 wins vs. teams that struggle to get the ball out.
  11. Gerald McCoy, Geno Atkins, John Randle, Suh, Donald, Kyle, Kawaan Short had 11 sacks last year. The quickest way to a QB is right up the middle.
  12. Weird. Either he smoked pot through a gas mask while texting Art Briles for rent money orrrrr? He has a late first early second round grade on many boards.
  13. Houston got Fuller and Miller, Hopkins sounds happy lol. Brockweiler is now a fantasy QB.
  14. I wonder what Billings did or didn't do, dropping like a rock in total silence.
  15. Sure. I would taken Deion Jones, Cravens who both would compliment Lawson much better than Ragland- in my opinion of course. With Lawson you get a speed to power guy as Whaley said, he excels at that and the less he is in coverage the better player he will be. Another option was stay put and wait for Reed, Billings to fall to 49 and get MD out of the middle and let him work. Both options would have made the defense more multiple and not have cost as much. Drafting Ragland pushes Preston to depth and if Rex and Doug don't trust him in the middle so be it. Here we are lets see how it goes.
  16. Hah don't group me up with you or anyone else. I disliked the pick and trade I expressed that and what I believe to be valid concerns and I got totally flamed. I'm not a guy who sits around here hating on everything just to stir up conversation. I can handle a flaming I'm a big boy, anyone that wants to have an actual conversation and not a pissing contest is always welcome to me.
  17. That's fine. Brady is still in the division for the near future and if you want to take the crown you need to act accordingly. We already have Preston Brown, now you add in Ragland who is a similar player. When they go no huddle your going to see Ragland gassed while we get picked apart. Is Ragland the problem? Nope. The problem I have is trading up with a favorable board and taking a player who really doesn't put you any closer to where your trying to go. Will he have some big hits? Yep. Is he a good kid and a better leader than Preston in the middle? Yep. He will still get exploited when it matters most? Jake Coker gassed him why won't Brady? It's never popular to question a decision but when I look at the likes of Ragland, Preston, Corey G, a very questionable Awil, and a bigger guy in Lawson playing opposite Hughes that really only leaves Zach Brown and Hughes to cover outside of the safeties. Neither one of our safeties are sure things right now. Very weak down the middle defending the pass. So now Hughes your best pass rusher is defaulted into coverage? So now Lawson may or may not have less time doing what he excels at? Did Whaley draft two guys who are elite at what they do? Yep. Do they mesh with each other and the talent around them? I just think we are way to slow in the front 7 and trading up wasn't really nessecary. Flame away, I'm not some poster who continually bashes Rex and company. Oh well.
  18. I hate everything? You have me confused with someone else. I'm critical of being stuck in the same ole line of thinking but far from the hate everything type.
  19. Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis Preston Brown and Ragland Brandon Marshall and Danny Trevathan Which LB's can cover backs and tight ends? Which can't?
  20. None taken, Talley was a warrior, Warriors aren't the way of the NFL anymore. The game is trending in a totally different direction and adapting is paramount.
