What Kolby at WR does for the Bills right now
CommonCents replied to KingRex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He still sucks? He had 3 years to train for football? Last summer he won silver in the Pan Am. games. This summer he is going back to the olympics- in 2012 he was in the olympics, I'm sure he had qualifications and other types of events he participated inbetween also. Sounds like a lifestyle to me, maybe he is a part time olympian? Sure. Don Beebe was a slight framed speedster who played the complimentary role for 8 maybe 9 years in the NFL. The same NFL that recorderd hardest hit videos while guys tried to decapitate WR's. He had some injuries but remained productive in his role. So don't tell me it's impossible. So just to recap, Goodwin hasn't spent 3 years training for the NFL, I never defended Roscoe Parrish, I love Don Beebe. So now your last opinion that Goodwin sucks, if he wasn't always hurt that would be bogus as I said above. He has shown the ability to get off the LOS and make plays when-hardly ever healthy. Goodwin is an employee of the Buffalo Bills but plays for the Men's National Olympic team lets face the facts. I agree though on Listenbee, blocking is a weakness from every scouting report I have read and until I see him get off press coverage I'm expecting a PS designation. -
What Kolby at WR does for the Bills right now

Goodwin is injury prone but he is also able to get off the LOS, get deep, heck the play he got hurt on he was coming across the field. That's the sad story with Goodwin, he can actually play, if he trained for the NFL and not the olympics maybe he would have avoided an injury or two. Listenbee can fly but he is going to have an uphill climb battling against our press corners in camp. Im going to guess some of the veterans that you consider JAGS show up to camp ready to compete. I don't think Hankerson and company are eligible for practice squads so it's do or die for them. Someone like Listenbee is more likely to go the Dez Lewis route and find his way on a PS. -
Fitz calls his shot -Update Signed w/Jets
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have a feeling the Jets and Fitz will get something done. He was good enough last year and they came within a game of making the playoffs with a rookie HC. Keep in mind Fitz got knocked out of their Oakland game in the first or 2nd drive and they imploded on the road. He went on to have a nice statistical year even with the thumb injury/surgery. I don't think anyone besides a resident poster at TBD has any confusion on what Fitz is or isn't. The reality is he is leaps and bounds above HackAPettyGeno and with that defense and Bowles they won't want to waste a season. -
Carolina rescinds tag on Norman

Good read. -
19- Shaq Lawson 41- Mackensie Alexander 80- Josh Perry 139- Cardale Jones 156- KJ Dillon 192 - Rico Gathers 218- Kenny Lawler Everything is self explanatory besides Gathers and Cardale, with both picks I'd be prospecting for Gold at that right price. Lawler just for his size and mitts, possible viable RZ target. Dillon offers a ton of value and would fit with a team lacking true cover guys down the middle.

Cardale Jones Reaction to the Bills drafting him
CommonCents replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Winston was the same way when he entered the NFL, few to many crab legs. Cardale has plenty of time to tone up physically, hopefully he spends the time and effort to learn the game. The sky is the limit, he is the pick I'm most excited about. I wanted him to enter the draft last year so we could scoop him up. I fell in love on the first date. -
Sarcastic? Right?

How would you rank the AFC East draft classes
CommonCents replied to mob16151's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It will be interesting to hear why the Patriots had such a passive approach. They got a few guys that posters around here liked/loved but most of those guys were value picks and or developmental. With that board many of the locals were expecting them to trade up. -
Great Draft, but let's keep it in check
CommonCents replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A few posters had good points of putting it on coaching from this point forward. We have all bought into the concept that Rex needed Rex guys and now he has them. The draft was dedicated to defense and Rex and company need to prove their worth. All the guys drafted are good at what they do. Let's see how coaching can transform some talented guys into a cohesive unit. I was critical of the Ragland selection because I don't think he compliments Lawson as well as some other 2nd round backers could have. From a distance we look slow up the middle and at safety. Zack Brown is going to be a key, if he can push Preston to depth that will make everyone's job easier. Hughes and Lawson are at their best when rushing the QB, if Jerry is our best cover LB this year I see problems. With this current unit we will have a distinct advantage against teams who struggle with their quick passing game. Teams like NE will give us problems until we find a balance on defense, the Brady suspension may be an early season blessing. Baltimore, jetsx2, dolphinsx2, Browns, 9ers, and the Rams will all struggle against an overpowering front 7. That's 8 wins, sorry for being overly critical of the Ragland trade I wanted a complementary player for Lawson - I'm all in let's see what happens. -
Well Striker was easily top 3 of UDFA's so we can't complain much. I think both those guys can be penciled into a 53 though.

Damm and double damn.

Thanks. Totally different situation but it is being highly followed because off the drop, Cash is a leader and a good man by all accounts. Just seems like 32 teams have classified him as a misfit that is going to need to change his body and or playing style to see the field.

Cash first team all American, Sports Illustrated 39th ranked prospect and he is a UDFA. Also ranked first in pass rush grades and run defense grades amongst all FBS safeties. What the heck am I missing.

Sanchez to start for the Broncos

He has some nice options outside and in the backfield. If that defense can remain dominant he just has to be steady. He managed games with the Jets before he eventually had his melt down. It will be interesting to watch, Lynch isn't even close right now. -

ESPN, I took the sports package off until Sept. so I don't currently have NFL Network. Kiper and Mcshay are still talking a million miles an hour. I like Louis Riddick but he is being drowned out by these two they don't take a breath. -

Haha no idea but I have spent a good portion of my Saturday watching this terrible coverage waiting for him to get picked. -
RD 5, Pick 156: RB Jonathan Williams, Arkansas

Compare salaries? So when you say something totally off base you just change the topic of what you originally brought to the table. No thanks I'm not hungry for foolishness. -

So that means Gronk has only been healthy 3 times in his career, he blows. -

5 more reps on the bench at the combine, should be at least a little bit sturdier. -
RD 5, Pick 156: RB Jonathan Williams, Arkansas
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they cut him after next year they eat 5 mil in dead money, that's a drop in the bucket. Factor in the ever rising salary cap and it's even less of an impact. The contract looks pretty easy to understand, 3 years of running him into then ground then send him out to pasture. -

That they planned on paying good money to an elite running back and running him into the ground then cutting ties which is exactly what the contract allows them to do.
