Warriors-Cavs for me, for selfish reasons. I want Durant to leave OKC for the rare chance we can wooo him into signing with the C's. I also want to see the Cavs at full strength vs. the Warriors, it should be a good finals. -

An NFL workout program is going to do wonders for this kid, hopefully he benefits from it year one. He is a guy I can see taking a year or so to get acclimated to being a full time guy against NFL competition. -

OKC is good when Durant and Westbrook share the ball with the rest of their teammates. I think they could compete with GS if they didn't dribble the air out of the ball in most games. Cleveland is playing well right now but I think they are at best tied for 3rd in the power rankings with OKC. They have similar problems with falling in love with dribbling, Lebron has always been a great front runner lets see how big those smiles are when they are in a dogfight. -
Raiders looking to move to Las Vegas?

I haven't followed this that closely but if it happens road games in LV is going to jump onto a ton of bucket lists. $$$ -
Stronger legs will allow for hang time that will yield a better average starting position than kicking it through the end zone. I think the owners missed the boat on this rule change, it should lead to more returns.

Robert Woods contract vs. Marvin Jones/Mohamed Sanu
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I hate the Bengals but I love the fit for Boyd there and I'm hoping he does well outside of our game against them. He is a rookie WR worth considering in fantasy, he should get favorable match ups with Eifert and AJ demanding so much attention. Cinci lost some pieces on defense so they should be in more high scoring games as well. Now back to Buffalo, I wanted to draft the WR this year he could have settled into Hogans spot and transitioned to a number 2 next year if/when Woods departs. Unfortunately we needed to address immediate needs on D and now we will be in an interesting spot next year at WR. -
I'm in Boston and that's not true at all, initial reports had him wanting to come to Boston after he declined the Preds offer. Something is up and it's believed he will go to Buffalo instead and play with Jack again. All the local rumors point towards the return of Claude Julien being the sticking point. His dad has a strong influence on him and supposedly thinks Julien will ruin his career. I'm a B's fan, I want him- we need him, but everyone locally thinks he is going back with Jack. FWIW.

Robert Woods contract vs. Marvin Jones/Mohamed Sanu

Hah seems we think alike. That's the guy I had targeted in the second for us! The reason I wanted a guy drafted this year was to avoid depending on a rookie to contribute next year, that's always a tough task. -

I'm not overpaying Woods either but drafting WR's is far from foolproof. I understand we had to revamp the defense but ideally this was the year to draft another WR who can play opposite Sammy, for the simple reason as you have argued Woods is going to get over payed lets no be the ones to do it. I have been yapping about Boldin since FA started and I'm hopeful they bring him in. Some of the other vets you had listed would scare the heck out of me. Andre Johnson has a hard time getting any separation, Floyd was injured again last year and contemplating retirement. -

2016 NFL Top 100 - will any Bills make it?
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chris Ivory maybe. -
Yeah it's something I'd consider situational at best. This is a case where it makes sense though, the investment and the talent are both overwhleming. Why not try to offer him a very good long term deal after this season, opposed to being forced to pay the mega deal that he will be looking at after his option is up. No doubt it would still take a nice contract to get him and his agent to sign but it can and has been done.
-
Yeah you get an extra year of control with the 1st round selection but i believe you can negotiate a new deal with any rookie after year 3. This article goes over it briefly. I know it may sound foolish to go the table so soon, it's forward thinking and can benefit both the team and player though. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/13146568/nfl-needs-change-how-rookie-contracts-structured

I wonder if they go to the table with Sammy after the season and see if they can work something out long term which will give him more money than the rookie deal and will save us some coin long term. I suppose that all depends how he plays this year, if he is lights out and stays healthy his agent may tell him to stand pat.

The pass rush and linining up in different places

IK saw playing time last year coming off the edge, Mr. Rogers displays better athleticism when he is putting on his shoes than anything that kid showed last year. Spots will be open for competition and rotational playing time. -

No. He does however have a history of being chewed up by pit bulls so don't be surprised when you see Burfict chomping on him. -

Well they always gave entertainers precedence over pure broadcasters. Where they went wrong was steering away from entertaining highlights in favor of trying to shape modern day society with their values. -

NFL Over/Under for 2016: Bills at Eight Wins
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is the spot that has room to improve the most. From all accounts Roman kept the passing game elementary for TT last year. He executed what was called but as a whole the offense didn't do it consistently enough, far to many 3 and outs. Roman is going to have to show defenses more and hopefully TT takes the next step and is able to execute what is called. I think a lot of us are guilty at looking at the defense and hoping for improvements while ignoring our wild card. The defense is young in some spots and guys will be transitioning to new roles, I expect some good games and some bad-much like last year. The offense has some continuity and a cast of explosive players who could reap the benefits of more effective TT, his floor is serviceable but what is his ceiling? Tyrod is the wildcard heading into the season and he will be difference between a playoff celebration and just another cold January.
