  1. Eat like 8 million in dead money to save the 9th and lose out on the player. Yeah that's a pretty safe bet, can I get in on this?
  2. Allin on something....maybe some bull ****. Dabo has turned that place into an NFL breeding ground and a serious FBS powerhouse, is it safe to say players and future recruits should expect better? Shaq had a beastly season, if he had the shoulder taken care of immediately after the NCG would that have made him fall out of the first round? I doubt it, not many guys with his skill set in this draft and it's not a career altering injury. His prognosis would have been much better for the upcoming season and that would have helped him avoid a slide. If the timeline for the injury is correct that leaves serious doubts about the passive approach by Clemson's medical staff. It also casts a shadow of doubt over the "Clemson Connection", if everyone was forth coming (including Whaley) they could avoided this stooopid PR fiasco. It is a business, I understand it's not always fair - but NFL teams have the upper hand lets keep it that. The day we need the Jaguars medical staff to lead the way. Yikes.
  3. Clemson has avoided all the poop throwing!? Why would they allow a high profile athlete to go through multiple offseasons without addressing a lingering injury which will get worse not better. That is not a good look for their staff either, something with this entire situation smells funny. Maybe it's all the poop?
  4. Ahh good for him. It will be interesting to see where he gets picked, I'm biased so i will say 15-20.
  5. I will get laughed off this thread but I'm a simpleton when it comes to beer, give me a nice cold Corona anytime of the year! Lime? No thanks.
  6. That's giving yourself to much credit. Your more entertaining than anything else, when you get going I envision you sitting down pounding away with one hand on the keyboard and the other hand holding up your Captain America shield.
  7. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000663377/article/eric-decker-i-believe-ryan-fitzpatrick-will-be-jets-qb I agree with Decker. They will get it done when they need too.

  9. I was hoping to take a flyer on Rico Gathers, I'm not sure how well he will adapt to blocking in the NFL but he is going to be a good receiving threat. He is a 6'8 monster and ran pretty well.

  11. NBA lottery the shady dealing of major pro sports!
  12. Yah the GS shot selection left a lot to be desired. Thompson and Draymond both took bone headed shots when Durant went cold and OKC left the door open.
  13. 0.0 percent, the league has turned a blind eye to him. How the heck could a team with a female owner be the one to cave in. Talk about a bad look.
  14. I'm done waiting for them to get worse. We need to get better. They are grooming a 2nd round QB behind a hall of famer and just drafted a 3rd round QB to develop behind them both! We have some hope for TT then an empty canvas in Cardale Jones. It seems we have finally learned how to take advantage of the compensatory pick system lets hope we can soon learn how to deflate balls, play around with radio communications, abuse helmet mics and circumvent the salary cap by paying our high profile players indirectly.
  15. I linked an article about a cornerback having a screw inserted after the season to help heal a stress fracture. He sat out OTA's and MC and returned for training camp. That sounds like what we are hearing from the team but the media is making it out to sound more like a Jones fracture which would have a much cloudier outlook. Maybe that explains Sammy's tweets? Not sure.
  16. Best circumstance- would be something like this http://m.jsonline.com/sports/blogs/320324901.html .
  17. I wouldn't compare it to EJ. I'm just looking at the history of high profile WR's who had reoccurnces with this injury. Julio played a year after the surgery then broke it again and had to have some extensive procedure to promote healing. Dez and Edelman both came back from it last season only to go back and have the surgery again. All 3 of those guys are elite athletes as is Sammy. Hopefully the timing of his injury helps his long term situation, as I said earlier he had the same surgeon that Julio used so that also may be a plus.
  18. I mentioned this and did some research about other notable Jones injuries that have occured to other high profile athletes. This injury is far more concerning than a shoulder procedure on a rookie. Sammy is the passing game. From the time table they gave us in which he had the screw put in it sounds like it was done before the draft. Makes me wonder why we didn't take a WR earlier who could have some impact. Woods is a FA next year and the Ferrari has a bad tire. They would be really foolish to bring Sammy back until he is 100 percent and even then there is risk of reinjury.
  19. I was just having a little fun with it, time tables vary so much on an individual basis so I always try to take the wait and see approach. I do think the slap tear is accurate from what I have read that's what makes most sense. Have the procedure, heal him up, regain some muscle mass and at that point evaluate where our season is headed and play him accordingly.
  20. The Medical Czar I have been looking for!!!! An old guy with bad shoulders. Sounds like just the guy I'd want to do an over the phone e v a l of a 21 year old freak.
  21. The Raven wasn't the only one watching with 3 eyes last night.
  22. Enough of the bad Bills news today time to get a few drinks down and watch a heck of a matchup. OKC was plus +400 in the series that seems to high for my liking, so I'm going GS in 6.
