Mike Lombardi on the Draft

I always like Lombardi. Pegs could do worse then bringing him in on top the food chain . -
Whaley and the draft
baskingridgebillsfan replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yet , there is another post on here that show his smack dab in the middle of the pack as a draft. That is with last years incomplete grade you didn;t think Seymour's arrow was pointing up ? John Miller ?, Even the 7th round Tight end had a few moments. -
NFL Draft Performance Analysis for 2012-2016

The middle of the pack feels right. That could move up a few ticks If Lawson , Ragland and Listenbee develop. Whaley middle of the pack drafter. very good at finding low cost vets. not sure why everyone wants to run him out of town -
I want to trade out of ten badly. . I love the talent in this draft Anyone in the top 100 except qb's should come in either start or make major contributions .

I give Whaley and company the benefit of the doubt on these type of signing they have proven to pretty good at finding players. They found future hall of famer Mike G off the scrap heap. zing -
Sullivan: One GM gone, one to go.

He touched on it briefly today , it feels like he would have kept Marrone. Marrone bolts and he has to find a coach. I think he kind of fell in to a first marriage situation, and he married the girl with the best ass and breasts at the bar. He realized 18 month in I have nothing in common with this guy and I don't like the way he does thing. Now he has a coach that he likes and respects., we shall see , most coaches fail but this team needs stability in the worse way When it comes to personal whom are you judging Whaley against ? the location of the team has zero to do with. Green bay , Kanas city, Jacksonville Oakland, Detroit, Minnesota, Houston are not exactly the best hot cities. Green bay has to play games in Milwaukee lst 70's and early 80's -
Rotoworld ranks Whaley as worst GM in NFL

I agree E.j wasn;t a disaster at first. I think the injuries and MArrone hurt his development. I can't defend E.j beyond that . -

Kevon Seymour's potential in McDermott scheme
baskingridgebillsfan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes he was. the backstory on the player is he didn't have the right prescription for his glasses at usc at that lead to issue and is why he fell in the draft. I would say Whaley and his team did a nice job of sniffing that out but I have been told he is the worst gm in football. Seymour will be on the three corners and we will see. He certainly wasn't a disaster as a rookie. -
Reuben Foster Failed Drug Test at Combine

I heard Gil Brandt speak about he handled " pot situation in his day " His view which I liked is the following; does the player smoke pot or is he a pot smoker. At the end of the day they a college kids. Is the player waking and baking or is he taking a bong hit on Saturday night. the other issue is players are prescribed opiate based drugs but not allow to smoke weed. That makes little sense I would be more concerned with his shoulders -

News day is a long island paper. I wouldn't say huge. it isn't the Post , Daily news or TImes. critiquing is fine, but bashing with little evidence and less effort is plan and simply cheap and lazy. That sums his career up . exactly. another Cheap shot. Correct, before Mike, the back up was Karos Williams , he played pretty well don't you think, when he flamed out the want to waiver wire and pulled out Mike G , who played well , before the thad C.j and Fred , it is not difficult to find a running back to have a productive 10 carries a game . they heed to upgrade a few positions , guess what ? so do does every other team, Qb is the issue and 20 other teams have the same one. I think it is far worse to be a Gm with a good qb , like Luck or Brees and still not put a 10 win team on the field , then it is to be 8-8 with out a good qb. ha ha ha so true . the Whaley haters like to look at his draft record in a vacuum. Take a look at the other 31 gm's you will find Whaley is doing a solid job. Have you ever gone back and looked at Bill b's drafts yikes not good.
