  1. Thank you for letting us know. You and your family will be in our prayers.
  2. This is your opinion, correct? If Newton became our backup, I am confident that McBeane would have defined his role and obtained a buy in from him. In my opinion. As far as your last point, skill set extremely important when your QB goes down. Do you remember games last year when Allen was not able to play or finish games? Not pretty.
  3. Don't underestimate McDermott in handling difficult personalities. He may be able to sell Cam this new role.
  4. I can't say how Cam will handle the downside of his career. The fact that he has a history with Beane and to a lesser extent McDermott, this may be a good situation for him.
  5. Isn't that the definition of a backup QB. I don't see many starting opportunities for Cam. The important question is: is Cam an upgrade to our current back up? I believe that he would be yes.
  6. It was an over payment when you compare it to other trades for similarly talented receiver, but it was what the market demanded to get the hob done. I am glad that Beans was willing to be mire aggressive to close the deal.
  7. These three pieces are very doable. With Allen's work ethic, we should expect him to display continued improvement. I'm not sure he will be a Mahomes in year three, but he will be much closer to where we want him to be. I expect we will sign a veteran RB before the draft. we will most likely draft a RB in the middle rounds of the draft. If Beane follows what he has done in the past, he will move up in the second round and get the edge rusher he covets. 3 for 3. Super Bowl in 2020!!
  8. We may have overpaid a bit, but I like the fact that Beane was decisive and went after the player he wanted. He know we were competing with a few other teams. I love this trade.
  9. I doubt that the Pats will be as bad as everyone expects. With BB on the sidelines, he will get the most out of whatever players they put on the field. If the Pats win the AFC East again, what does that say about Brady?
  10. Bills #8 and the Pats are #16? AWESOME!!!
  11. I like this signing. But is there a chance he may not even make the final roster?
  12. What is going on with these LA teams! These new logos.....not good.
  13. Amen. A Super Bowl win is enough of a sports fantasy for me!
  14. CBS Sportsline graded the Bills off season an A. Pats were graded D+. Jets C- and the Dolphins B+. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2020-nfl-free-agency-grades-for-afc-east-miami-dolphins-load-up-on-defense-patriots-watch-tom-brady-walk/ This off season has made the past couple of weeks bearable.
  15. Cam doesn't seem to have many options.
  16. Hi: I took all kinds of heat when I started this thread. Well..... I just read on CBS Sportsline that the Bills are the 2nd most likely landing place for cam Newton. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/cam-newton-released-four-most-logical-landing-spots-for-longtime-panthers-quarterback/ It makes sense on many levels.
  17. Another thing that is not mentioned enough is that he wins. His 4th quarter comebacks really show his toughness and his unwillingness to accept defeat. His stats will improve. Give me a winning quarterback over one that generates gaudy stats any day.
  18. I'm not sure it's kind loyalty. Allen is s goid kid and is easy to root for. Most of us understood that he was a project that takes patience and time.
  19. I would think Allen is at the Bridgewater level with much higher ceiling. At least Josh is durable.
  20. You are most likely correct. The Bills need to remove the constraints on Allen and see what he can do unfettered. This could be an interesting year.
  21. You are most likely correct. This will be a high pressure year for Allen. It will be interesting to see how he handles it.
  22. That is a more realistic goal. I am not sure if Josh will ever have a 60%+ completion.
  23. It seems to be the prevailing opinion. I do not necessarily agree with that. I would prefer to give him as much time as possible to see what he can become. But you and I both know that if Josh does not show significant improvement this year, many on this site will be calling for his replacement.
